We went with arborist. Deck bid- Building a large floating deck for base of greenhouse. Very high bid for labor, bid was not detailed enough. Didn't break down ttl cost lumber pkg, labor cost was only thing detailed. Got vibe they didn't want to communicate or interested in job. This is incredibly important job to me so went with different company.

So, after working with him for over a year, I think a review update is in order. Everything I said in my original review is still true. I am not going to repeat them here; please see the original review. What has become more and more clearly after interacting with him for over a year is that ZAC TAKES CARE OF MY YARD AS IF IT'S HIS OWN! He does a lot of extra things and he doesn't even charge me for them. Yesterday, I came home and found Zac on all fours on my front yard weeding! For one thing, it was a 80 degree day. Also, he is NOT even expected to put out the weeds. I learned that he had been doing that without telling me because my house is on a corner lot and is very visible to people who walk by. So, Zac is not only knowledge and good at what he does but also very passionate about what he does. I could not possibly ask for more from him. When I called the office, I got voicemail and left a message. Almost immediately, I received a text from the same number. To my surprise, the person on the other end immediately told me they weren't interested. (See attached images.) I reached out to the owner again but never heard back. Several hours later, I received a call from one of their employees, but by then I'd already decided on another landscaper. These guys may be the best landscapers in Skagit County, but I'll never know, because apparently they weren't interested in my business.

I got quotes from a few places, and ended up signing up for regular service with TruGreen. They come weekly during the mosquito season, virtually eliminating the problem. They also spray (outside) for spiders which is a great bonus as my house has PLENTY. Their service is reliable, and I always get a text letting me know when the driver is on the way and when they are finished with the job. Their prices are a little high, although they do give discounts if you subscribe for multiple treatments and/or different service levels, or if you pay all in advance rather than monthly. At some point I'd love to sign up for extra services to make my lawn beautiful, but for now I'm very happy with the mosquito spraying so I can enjoy my yard again!
