I've visited here a couple times to have a Mini checked out. The place is on a side street, in a converted gas station space. Jeff is detailed in explaining the issues and offers reliable solutions to have the vehicle fixed. Simons is a solid mechanic & I'll be a loyal customer for a good while!

I've taken 2 Lexus vehicles to them now. Last one was for full brake upgrade to slotted/cross drilled rotors in my former RC. Today was for complete replacement of ABS main unit in an SC430. I was really impressed with this shop again. Great work, timely service, honesty in the discussions, nice people. I'm glad to have found a local shop for our vehicles. Thumbs up for this place and for Jeffrey.

Jeff changed my headlight for me in only 10 minutes and charged me only 10 dollars after I dropped in. Thanks!

I pulled in expecting the usual: wait, sigh, scroll my phone, question my life choices while watching fluorescent lights hum overhead. Instead, I got something closer to a well-run pit stop staffed by people who genuinely seem like they want your car to keep surviving in this economy. The staff was immediately friendly in that effortless way that doesn't feel scripted or forced. No awkward upselling theater, no mysterious jargon that makes you feel like your car is secretly falling apart in slow motion. Just straightforward explanations, clear pricing, and the unsettling realization that this might actually be... easy? The service itself was fast--like "wait, that's it?" fast--but still had that thorough, checklist-complete energy that reassures you they didn't just pop the hood, nod seriously, and hope for the best. It was efficient without feeling rushed, which feels increasingly rare in the modern world. And then there's the location situation, which honestly deserves its own review section called "The Accidental Food Corridor of Daly City." While waiting, you're basically within walking distance of an entire supporting cast of snack destiny: Little Caesars quietly doing what it does--hot, fast, unapologetic pizza energy Subway offering the classic "I should probably be responsible" sandwich option 7-Eleven standing ready with existentially necessary snacks and beverages Krispy Krunchy Chicken bringing dangerously crispy temptation into the mix Starbread Bakery quietly sabotaging any intention of "just being nearby" with warm, sugary inevitability It starts to feel less like an oil change appointment and more like you accidentally scheduled yourself into a snack-themed amusement district while your car gets serviced. By the time everything was done, the car was ready, the pricing felt fair, and I was briefly convinced that this might be the most efficiently located cluster of practical errands and emotional food decisions in Daly City. I came in for maintenance. I left with a refreshed vehicle, a suspicious appreciation for operational efficiency, and a mental list of baked goods I definitely didn't need but absolutely considered. It was a water pump issue. Quoted $$ for both low pressure and high pressure water pumps. Next day, got a call back from DAS... Only the low pressure pump needed to be replaced, service fees got dropped less than 1/2. We went ahead and requested for other preventative services to be performed as well. Price came out to be only 2/3 of what original quote was. Overall experience, we were very satisfied with the thorough service and fair pricing. Glad to have found an honest repair shop in Daly City.

I gave them a call Saturday morning and spoke to La Lo. He was very helpful, pleasant, and very customer service oriented. I told him about the battery light and he asked if I could bring it in around 1pm since they were pretty booked that day. After bringing in the car, it took about 40 minutes until they were able to come up with a diagnosis for me - the alternator needed replacing. La Lo gave me a quote for the repair, and even did some research to see if he can get better pricing for the part, which he did. He saved me a few hundred dollars, which was much appreciated. He told me I would be able to credit the cost of the diagnosis ($85) towards the repair. I brought the car in for repair the following Tuesday (Monday was a holiday). My wife's car works great now, thanks to DAS Auto! From the initial call, to the in-person interaction, you could tell they care about their customers. Even hearing how they speak to other customers in their shop, they're very honest about the repair (La Lo even told one customer the cost of his repair and that more than likely they might find other things wrong if they went through with it). I highly recommend them! They'll be our go-to mechanic moving forward!

They say my rear brake pads and rotors need to be replaced + my rear shocks are leaking and are dead. They want $780 for the rear brakes and rotors then another $1250 for rear shocks and alignment. $2,030 worth of repairs for a 6 year old car with about 48000 miles on it. Obviously don't pay this if your car can still run fine and I immediately start searching for auto shops for help. I find out about Atech Auto by sending in a Yelp request and Alex gets back to me same day. He quotes me HALF the price Toyota wanted and can get me in the shop next weekend when I was free. Pretty good deal when compared to some other quotes I got. Bring my car in on Saturday around 9am and it probably doesn't get done until around 3pm. There isn't really a waiting area except for some lawn chairs. It's best to take an uber or ride Muni somewhere else to kill some time until your car is ready. Probably my only feedback is I wish they would've called me when my car was ready rather than me guessing and calling them, but hey they looked busy. Got the car back, paid the agreed price, and was on my way. I don't notice a huge change with how the car feels but I at least appreciate not being up charged twice the amount for similar services. Would recommend reaching out to them if you ever need to work on your car!

Dindo and his team have consistently delivered the best customer service and top-notch quality of work--it's why I happily drive from San Mateo every time I need service, even though there are plenty of closer options. What stands out most is how attentive and honest Dindo is. He takes the time to really listen to any concerns, explains everything clearly without using confusing jargon, and never pushes unnecessary repairs. I've had everything from routine maintenance and oil changes to more involved fixes like brakes, suspension work, and diagnostics, and every recommendation has felt legitimate and fair--no upsells or inflated quotes just because they see an out-of-town customer. The work is always done right the first time, with high-quality parts and attention to detail that gives me real peace of mind on the road. The whole shop runs like a well-oiled machine: friendly staff, quick turnaround when possible, and a clean, professional environment. Dindo's passion for what he does shines through--he genuinely cares about getting your vehicle safe and reliable, and that shows in every interaction. If you're looking for a trustworthy auto shop where integrity and excellent craftsmanship come first, Pacifica Auto Works (and especially Dindo) is the real deal. Highly recommend--5 stars aren't enough! I'll keep making the drive from San Mateo because the trust and quality are worth every mile.

My windows, brakes, alignment, etc have all been multiple visit issues. I've had to bring my car back multiple times - and spend more money - because it wasn't done correctly the first time. I would recommend Eddie's Valero in manor. They do great work every time and have reasonable prices.
