Simon's is a small garage but they are always hoppin'. The turnaround for repair has always been great for us and the staff is competent and friendly. As a woman it's nice to have someone take your info and not get the feeling that they are sneering at you behind your back. The work has been excellent and we feel like they try to save us $$ when possible. When you bring your car in for an oil change you won't find them pushing you to do a million other things to it. If you say "only do what it takes to get me back on the road" they will try to accommodate you. I recommend these guys. read more

As a recommendation from a friend, I made an appointment and took my VW Jetta to Simon's Auto Werks. The mechanic, Jeff, was great. I took my car for a routine oil change and asked him to look over my car as I just arrived from Florida. He completed everything in less than the estimated time of completion, 1 hour. I only take my car to them. They are very professional and personable, not something that you easily find in other garages. The staff is friendly and it's very efficiently run. I recently moved to Pacifica, and one Saturday, my car wouldn't start. I called around for places that could take my car in with no appointment. Simon's Auto Werks told me that they had an opening that same day for me to bring my car in. I was able to jump-start my car, and I took it to Simon's to get my engine looked at, as well as to get an oil change. Jeffrey was very helpful and told me that he thought i needed a new battery. He quoted me for a new battery and the oil change, and it was very reasonable (especially considering I had just called him, and he was able to fit me in that day). I left my car there for a few hours, and he called me back when my car was ready. Thanks so much for taking my business at the last minute. I first went here after I needed to be towed from nearby after my brakes locked up. I had some previous issues with brake rotors and such and the dealer(s) never fixed the issues. After taking to Simon's, which has been years now, I've had not other issues. They are honest and upfront. I've mostly worked with Peter and have not had any surprises. Since my first visit, I've had some other non-major work done on the engine and transmission on my 2006 subaru forester and it runs like a clock. My wife also takes her much newer (2017?) Lexus hybrid here for regular maintenance. Mostly this is just fluid maintenance, but she's also had some other work done here such as brakes. It's nice to have a shop nearby that is affordable, fast and reliable. read more

As a college student paying his way through college, being laid off and having sudden car problems was not the best thing to happen in one week. After calling several mechanics in the area, all of whom were happily willing to charge me a hundred bucks or more just to look at what the problem was, I called Simon's (now, as previously stated, called Simon's Auto Werks - intentional "e".) Took my car in randomly one day because my car wouldn't start. Had my battery checked out twice at Kragen's and it was completely fine, so I couldn't determine what the problem was. Fortunately, my car started to let me drive to Simon's Auto Repair (thank god!), but as soon as we get there and I turn my ignition off, it wouldn't start again. I had a mechanic I trusted in Mountain View but I moved to Pacifica and found Simons. I was happy they had good ratings on yelp and they were within walking distance. I've been there twice now for major repairs and they were quick and fair priced. The team was professional, honest and friendly. Didn't get that used car salesmen vibe I get at some repair shops, lol. As a woman it's important not to feel like you're about to get scammed because you're female. Wow, a truly honest mechanic. What a wonderful find here in Pacifica. I brought my car in expecting to have to pay quite a bit of money for some maintenance I had put off. Instead it was just a minor tune up and an oil change. Brought in again to replace a light bulb and they did it quickly and on the spot and only charged me $5. As a first time customer I had a great experience having both my cars repaired at Simon's Auto Repair. The owner Jeff (owner for the past 16 years) and his staff provide the cheapest repairs after calling around to get various quotes to fix a starter and resonator. The initial estimate was accurate, the repairs were finished quickly and correctly, and they went beyond just repairing the broken parts by inspecting the surrounding parts for soundness as well. Jeff and his staff were honest, reliable, and very approachable. They answered all my questions thoroughly and in a non-condescending manner. One of the nicest mechanics I have worked with. Although he wasn't able to entirely fix the problem he at least got me driving. (I need to go to the dealer since it involves the key) He was super honest, clear and communicative. When you have to get jumped/towed in the morning things aren't off to a great start. I have been going to Simon's for a few years now. I had become unhappy with my previous mechanic and tried out Simon's based on a neighbor's recommendation. Come to find out several of my neighbors are happy customers. I have to be honest though, so that some might understand the reason for several of the negative reviews. For a period of time there was a staff member there that was overcharging for jobs. However, once it came to the owner's attention, he made appropriate changes, and one can safely be assured that you will get a good, honest service. If you are still hesitant, just be sure to talk directly to Jeff. He will take care of you and make sure that your car is taken care of. From what I can tell they are well versed in a wide range of vehicles. It appears that Jeffery really likes bikes, and has a whole special area set up to work on them. I don't own a bike though, so I can't speak for their bike repair. However, I do have a Jeep Wrangler, and a Miata and I have been happy with having them work on both. Jeff is really easy to deal with. As a woman with base mechanical knowledge, I have yet to feel he is ever trying to take advantage of me. And when he sees that I may not understand why he is recommending an unexpected repair, he does an good job or explaining it to me, and never have I felt he has been trying to push unnecessary work. read more

If you care about your car, don't bring it to this shop. First of all, they will park your car on streets away from their shop because they have no room and often over night. There is a very good chance that your unattended car will be damaged or vandalized. Notice the bar right next door. The quality of their work is also hit and miss. Went here because of the reviews and because I live in Pacifica. Needed to get my brakes checked. Quoted me $600 to change the brake pads and rotors after telling me that my pads were worn so bad the rotors were scraped. We checked them ourselves and over 50% of the pads were still there and couldn't see anything wrong with the rotors. We decided to change them anyway ourselves just in case (all for under $100.) Gave 2 stars because the mechanic was nice although dishonest. read more

this shop has serviced my 3 trucks for years one has been maintained by simon's for 225000 miles the truck runs great they seem to always know just what to do to keep it always running and at reasonable costs. I have been very impressed with Simon's Auto Werks. They worked on all 3 of our cars. The work was completed for less than the estimate provided and Jeffrey & Jared were consumate professions to deal with. The mechanics were also very courteous & helpful. For one major repair I had gotten another estimate and Simon's was roughly 20 % less. Plus they came in under their estimate. All work has been first-class in quality & Jeffrey advised against some work because it would have been expensive and was not necessary at that time. I continue to be impressed with the quality of work preformed by Jeff and his staff. I have taken my cars to him for nearly ten years.( Jeep, VW Passat, 2 Mercedes ) Todays experience was another example of how he gets things done. I was a Costco and got a dead battery so I had a tow company start my car. I was driving my older Jeep. After the tow company started the car I drove right to Simon's Auto Werks to see what was going and both owners came out and looked at the car. Jeff told me he would take care of it so I left and walked home. They did the disnogstic work and found out I had a poor battery cable connections so they replaced the battery connections and In 20 minutes he called me and said the car was fixed and in 5 minutes he would be at my house with the car. The battery cables were not making contact so he replaced the cable connectors and charged me $40. read more

I just got back my 3000gt from them. My clutch was completely out and they fixed it and got the car running like new. They even fixed the radio antenna which was making a noise which I didn't ask them to do. They quoted a decent price and did a good job. I will definitely take my car there again. read more
