My husband came here for renal ultrasounds today, and his tech was Robin. He was really worried about having to drink a lot of water for one section of his tests, but robin was kind enough to have him come in early, and stayed standing by until he was ready to do the ultrasound. Everyone was really nice, and I highly recommend it as a place to have ultrasounds done. Only issue is location...because of the local construction, waze will lead you down closed streets trying to circle you around to get there...but they have parking! read more

If zero stars were an option, I would choose it. I called ahead to get a cash self-pay price, which was clearly approved by their representative. When I arrived, they changed the price on me. I spoke with management, and they confirmed that the representative did approve and note the agreed-upon price in my account, yet they still refused to honor it. I drove 45 minutes to get there, spent another 45 minutes for them to get approval from my insurance since they changed my cash pricing and the insurance deductible now makes more sense to go with and now I have to drive 1 hour 15 minutes back home due to rush hour traffic. This place has no respect for patients' time or for their own word. Unfortunately, this isn't my first experience here, and every single visit has involved some kind of issue. On top of that, the staff has consistently been unprofessional and rude. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. read more

They asked to get there early and then had me wait 2.5 hours without any heads up, any excuse or explanation. Then after the MRI (350$) they said they could email me the results immediately but preferred to do the next morning because it was close to closing time and they wanted to pack up for the day. It's now the next day and I've now been on the line with SimonMed for an hour trying to get my results emailed because the receptionist forgot. Multiple phone calls and text messages *today* reminding me to walk-in for an x-ray my doctor ordered. I checked the x-ray waiting list for this particular location *today* just minutes before I left the house to get it done. I get there, and nobody is at the front desk. Fine. People have to eat. Wait about 15 minutes. When she comes back, she blithely informs me that they are not doing x-rays at this location today, because the tech is somewhere else. This doesn't seem like a surprise. The tech isn't out sick. They just are not at *this* location today. As I'm walking back home, I get another phone call from SimonMed reminding me to come on in for that x-ray! Literally 30 seconds after I angrily walked out of their sh*tty office. 1.5 hours out of my day entirely wasted. The lowest possible hanging fruit would be to post a message to your x-ray waiting list that, oh I dunno, THERE ARE NO X-RAYS TODAY. I wouldn't trust SimonMed to x-ray a bag of dog sh*t at this point. F* you, SimonMed. Fix your sh*tty systems so you don't waste everyone's time. read more

How odd there's a low rating. It was a walk in so I got in pretty quickly. They couldn't find my lab order but the office sending me here expected that so I came prepared. Make sure to move your car to their parking lot to avoid a ticket. X ray went normal and I was provided a hard copy on CD-ROM. Great bedside manner, no issues whatsoever. read more

They give you one price before the procedure, a month later you discover they made a claim for an amount exactly 10 times more to your insurance. This place is a big scam. No way to contact whoever is responsible for the charge, the billing department says it's the facility that charges, the facility says contact the billing. AVOID this place. Yet, they confirmed my appointment the day before, and told me to show up early, only to tell me that they weren't open and made me wait. Two other customers were told the same after they were told to show up early. I also heard the receptionist call several customers to cancel their ultrasounds for that day because someone called in sick. read more

Really odd front desk experience that included McDonald's grease on my paperwork as the front desk person ordered delivery and proceeded to eat it at the desk. I had originally given SMI a very good review on google, but since my xray request was listed as urgent and it has been 4 days and my doctor has still not received the results, this isn't reliable performance. I did just call them directly and they promised to send results today but, really? The office experience was good, the technician was very nice, I have no complaints in this area. Really bad customer service. Like amateur hour at reception. Apparently they can't do basic tasks like print an itemized receipt. Although they claim "walk in" xray - the paperwork (just for an ankle xray) takes forever. They ask a bunch of questions the answers to which are all on the order. Get in to the exam room, and I note that the order is for weight bearing, the tech says "oh we can't do that here". A complete waste of time. read more

I had an MRI on 1/2/25 and was told that my MRI results would be sent within a few days. I followed up on 1/14/25 to find that the results HAS NOT been sent to my Doctor. If I need an MRI in the future I will not be returning to this facility. read more

They do unsolicited forensic on their MRI report that will destroy your PI case if you have an accident. Such as they decide to determine your injury is related to your accident without providing what is the causation of your injury is. To me they overstep their medical jurisdiction and they refuse to answer your calls as they have endless waiting time. As for their floor staff i had dealt with floor manager Nathan who was escapist and dodged his managerial duties. The lot only has a handful of reserved spots for them so hope you can grab a meter because the neighborhood is permit parking only. Second, the MRI machine is very old and was malfunctioning all and instead of calling to reschedule, they had to end my scan early because the machine broke down. Now I have to go back for the last 5 minutes and deal with them again. Third, because the MRI was down most of the day, I had to wait an hour and 45 minutes just to get called back. Had an MRI here. The waiting room has been redone since the images on yelp. Staff was very nice. I knocked off a star bc their self pay price is about $150-$200 more than other facilities in the area. If you're paying with cash, know that imaging is a commodity and you'll get the same images anywhere. If you have insurance and need someone in network and this place is in network for you - I recommend it. read more

I see a lot of bad reviews here, but I had an amazing experience. I was lucky enough to get a parking spot in the back. If I had not, finding one would have been challenging, given the neighborhood and construction. I walked into the waiting room, which was spotless and completely zen with a bookshelf of art books. I had zero wait time. I went back, and the tech was friendly and helpful and made me feel completely safe and comfortable. Honestly, I kept thinking this is too good to be true. I've spent hours waiting in other radiology offices, but I was in and out here in 15 minutes. I haven't yet received the report, but it's only been less than 24 hours. The people that do the scans at Simon Medical are amazing. The issue is that their patient portal SUCKS. They do not respond to doctors asking for the scans. When you download from the patient portal it does so in an unreadable file and the system does not allow. you to share with your doctor. So basically, they have no problem charging for the tests but it is IMPOSSIBLE to get it to your doctor. It has taken me numerous texts, calls and emails to finally get someone to help and the question still remains if when I go to pick up the test results tomorrow (which I now have to pay for, since they are incapable of sending) -will they actually be waiting for me while I fill out all the paperwork or not. If I was a betting girl I would say probably not. From what I have gathered they are very, very, very aware about their useless portal and don't care in the slightest. read more

The billing is a complete scam. Needed an X-ray of lumbar X-ray and was forced to also get an Eye x-ray to prevent the potential for metal in the eye. Was told that I would not be responsible for it. It was a precaution and they needed to make sure. I went ahead had both x-rays after paying my insurance co-pay and left. That was over six months ago. 10 days ago or so, I get 2 final notices for two separate bills. No explanation or billing detail. I never received anything prior to this. Now, you need to contact them and it's very difficult to get anyone to actually be able to help you and send you a copy of the detailed billing, so one can see that they might be paying for something they were told they wouldn't be responsible for. The amount owed , is not worth wasting hours on the phone trying to get someone to help you. So you decide to give up and pay in order to avoid been sent to collection. Well, this time something should be done. Might be worth the time finding out how many people were told something similar in the past, where they tell you, you need an additional exam as a preventive reason and then they are charging you for something no doctor sent you there for. When you force people to get exams they did not ask for, sounds like maybe some government agency should be looking into this practice of yours. Hmmm? read more

The day before my appointment I received a voicemail at 4pm asking me to call the Simonmed office back. I called back before 5pm but unfortunately the office was already closed. The voicemail didn't say the reason for calling so I went to my 8am appointment the next day. When I arrived at the office after trekking over from East Los Angeles, the front desk woman informed me that they didn't yet have insurance approval and would I like to reschedule or pay cash. Seriously? You couldn't have warned me over the phone not to come to the appointment? What really irks me is she called at the very last minute possible when I've had this appointment scheduled for over a week. I said I would wait to see if there was anything they could do. She eventually informed me it would take 3-4 days to get insurance approval. So why was I asked to wait knowing the approval wouldn't happen? She even mansplained what approval from insurance was... like I don't know how my own insurance works. I had a similar negative experience with Simonmed in Riverside and their front staff. I think the issue is endemic to their business and judging by the other reviews my experience is not singular. read more

If you weigh over 200lbs you will not fit in their older machine. I am used to both Cedars Sinai and Mink Radiology machines this machine is not sized equally. They also have protocols that you remove ALL clothing with the exception of underwear- when asked I was told their machine breaks down often and it's the patients fault for hiding metal- so they no longer trust the patients? The MRI tech was great friendly extremely understanding about the issue with this machine and said they have another location available and based on my height and weight I should have been made aware prior to this appointment. The front desk person was pregnant and extremely rude she attempted to Body Shame me for their equipment. Other than a pediatric MRI I think most adults would prefer more space. Even if you could squeeze into this machine it would be extremely claustrophobic. That said I will now pay double to go to Mink- if you want to save money and are under 200lbs and don't have broad shoulders maybe try it? What a great company , and team.First Ivonne Mendez, the scheduler, called, me asap, and had an appointment for my mother the very next day. Greeted by the front desk,Cammie,and Hennessy. They even mentioned they had free parking, if I parked on the street. The ultrasound Girl,Robyn, made my Mom's experience, relaxed, she even allowed me to join my Mother. She was gentle, kind, knowledgeable, and truly cared. My Mom was comfortable with her ultra sound. The machines, are all the latest, top of the line. My Mom's whole experience, was relaxed, and refreshing. Its scary when you go for any tests. This place made it completely different. They had the results to the Dr, when we were leaving. Robin went above and beyond to make my patient experience a positive one! I was running late because construction in the neighborhood created a confusing detour and I was having trouble finding the address. On the phone, Robin patiently gave me directions and even had another SimonMed employee step outside to wave to me so I knew which building the facility was located in. Even though I was late, the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Robin was also my technologist and she made sure to inform me of what she was doing, as she was doing it, throughout the procedure which I appreciated and found reassuring. She answered all my questions and put me at ease. I had to sign up just to share my horrible experience with this facility. This place had roaches in the bathroom and this place was not very clean in the front. Dinora is horrible at explaining insurance problems. Instead of calling for orders and verifying my insurance. She was busy eating donuts and talking about other patients. Then she puts the One Call People on speaker phone so everyone in the office could hear my personal information. I am very sure this violated my privacy as I didn't want others in the office to hear my social security number being blasted. Do yourself a favor and don't come here for your MRI scans. Dinora was rude and incompetent. It was obvious she didn't know what she was doing and this place really needs to train the front staff better. Basically they set a trap and want you to drive all the way there and then magically they have a price ready witch is of course higher than expected and of other practices. Had to get my dad an MRI. They scheduled me at 11am. I was told to come in at 10.30. We left around 1, Waited for 2+ hrs to be seen. MRI took 20 min, but we were there almost 3 hrs. My dad is really old with problems moving. Rude and incompetent receptionist as well. Do not ever go to this place. How this place gets 5 stars I have no idea.
