Horrible front desk attitudes a. Lack of professionalism. You never forget how a Person or persons make you feel . I know that I will forget words said to me On that day ,and the way I was treated , but I felt like I'd been slapped hard in the face. It wasn't Called for . You got a smile from me no matter how hard I tried to over look your attitudes and the lies . I have been reading reviews from some of your other offices . Not good !!!I am 69 years old been through a lot . But you two young ladies at the front desk at this office , should be ashamed in this day and in the times that we are all challenged with , to show hatred and ignorance to anyone . You don't walk in my shoes . You don't know what My challenges are . You two girls will one day understand what i felt that day. Yeah I left in tears but I felt good later . I felt good because I kept smiling no matter how hard you pushed me .Simon Med you suck . Too many complaints just like this one . Thank read more

I arrived at the clinic a little before 8am (right as they opened) as a walk in and it was already packed. Waited over 2 hours to get a chest X-ray. Don't just come when they open, get here earlier if you want to get in and out faster. And when they tell you the wait time's an hour, prepare for 2+. read more

The initial office experience is fine, not very long waits. However, I am writing this review to warn others. My husband and I went there on two separate occasions and the front office said that we had to pay a deductible. My husband paid $600 and I paid $350. We found out months later that our insurance covered our deductibles. I attempted to contact simon med on several occasions to get our money back. First, it is tough to talk to a live person in the billing department. Once I did reach a "live person", she said that they would investigate it and if we were owed a refund, we would get it. Two months later, I called back with our insurance representative and she took over for me, demanding they return our money. They said that they would put it back on our credit card. Still a month later, no refunds on our cc. So I called again and spoke to another person, and she said she would refund the amount now, and that there was no detailed notes that we had called in previously. Finally, we got our refund back only a few days later after this last call. They were NOT planning on paying us back. Very poor service! read more

After checking in here today, I read the reviews and I'm really surprised. The nurses at Simon Med were very polite & prompt with getting my son & I in. We were a walk in also. And within 30 minutes we were finished! We got the Xray results same day as well. I'm thinking they have really weeded out the problem nurses, and brought in some new nurses since all of the bad reviews. If not, then they've stepped up their game quite a bit. I'd definitely go back here if in fact there ever is a need to in the future. read more

Looks like I will add to the horrible reviews for this place. The staff and practice as a whole is unacceptably slow. They called my wife over an hour before her appointment regarding insurance approval. She have then the approval number again since the approval person failed to do their job correctly the business day before. Instead of doing their last minute call to the insurance company since my wife assured then we would be there early for her appointment, they did not call until well after we arrived. We arrived almost 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment time. After waiting 30 minutes after the scheduled time, we are informed that part of the delay is because of them verifying with the insurance on the phone. We have been to 3 different companies for imaging in the last few months. Simon Med is the only one that is not only late but continuously make their patients wait in a full waiting room. When is corporate going to actually read these reviews and realize they need to evaluate their processes. Some high notes(only reason they get two stars) 1.) The front staff seemed professional. They were not rude. 2.) The music! They play instrumental versions of Top40 hits. I guess the popular music in a calming tone helps sedate people while their time is being wasted by poor management. read more

BUYER BEWARE! Think twice before coming here . One star is too good . I normally do not leave bad reviews I always try to work things out with the company. This is not the case as I have made 3 phone calls and talked to 2 people who honestly could not help the situation and I was finally given the name of a manager. I called and had to leave a message ( shocking). I left my message over a week ago and I am completely frustrated. I had a mammo done in dec , it took over two months to get my results and when I received my letter it was addressed to me at my address and that's where anything related to me stopped. It stated my test date was January and my results were sent to a dr I have never heard of. OMG! They have me mixed up with someone else , how unethical.. I know stuff happens but I've been trying to resolve this to no avail. I have zero respect for them and will NEVER EVER return. I have lost complete trust for my welfare. I am giving them one star for the simple reason that zero is not an option. The doctors and staff were wonderful, caring and helpful. However, whoever is doing their pre-authorizations and billing are completely inept. I was told at time of service that I had to pay my portion upfront and I paid the exact amount that was requested. I even asked if they had double checked with my insurance that that was my total amount out of pocket. I had 3 tests run, the 2nd test was recommended but optional. I made the decision to go ahead when I was told my total out of pocket expense was $85, I paid the amount I was told and now owe an additional $900 for just that one test! Total amount I still owe for all 3 tests is over $1300. My insurance company says that they have no record of anyone calling in for pre-authorization and I was lied to by the front office. They even have a note in the system that I was put on a payment plan, I asked for a copy of the payment plan and there is none on record. The supposed payment plan that I signed didn't even match my total amount due. After months of calling their billing department, I just received a phone call that after review, it was decided that I owe the entire amount. Steer clear of Simon Med. Take your diagnostic needs elsewhere,l they are taking advantage of their patients. read more

I came in today for a breast ultrasound due to a lump I found this week. I had the receptionist put in the notes that I personally do NOT feel comfortable with a man seeing my breast. A woman X-ray tech took me back, at that point I struck up conversation with her about how uncomfortable men make me and I was happy to see a woman. She preformed the breast ultrasound, then she left the room saying she would be back. After 5 minutes... no knock on the door, as I'm still undressed ... a male walks in with the female tech. No warning... I was so embarrassed that I couldn't speak! I had just explained my situation to the woman X-ray tech! That is not ok! I should have been asked if that was ok before bringing a male into my exam room while I'm undressed. I am mortified! He preformed another ultrasound. He was nice, don't get me wrong, but I will not ever feel comfortable with a man touching my breast. And with no warning... just walked right in the exam room! Just be aware this can happen to anyone! read more

Nothing but negative experiences with this place. DO NOT GO TO THEM!!! When my doctor referred them, it took a full 30 minutes to make the appointment by phone at the S. Val Vista office in Gilbert. Then when I went to the appointment, it took them nearly 30 minutes to tell me that the technician for my ultrasound was not at this location! I was asked to go to another location about 7 miles away. I then got the ultrasound. A day later, called the main office to complain and they transferred me to a regional manager named Andrea. She was apologetic and she said she would talk to the office and send me a gas card for my troubles. It's been 3 weeks and no gas card. THIS PLACE IS A SHAM!!! read more

This is only my 2nd time ever reporting on a company, but felt it important enough to do so. My experience was very similar to those listed below. I received a call from SimonMed to schedule an appointment for a Thyroid Biopsy. I scheduled the appointment. A week later i received a call from SimonMed to schedule an appointment. I explained that i had already made an appointment. They had no record of me having an appointment, just a note that a person called and left a message for me and i never returned the call. I looked up my records and gave them the date of the call and the length of the conversation, the date and time of the appointment and the instructions - but no, they had no record. My only option at this point was a month later, or to go to Phoenix. I explained that i was unable to go to Phoenix, so scheduled the appointment a month later. A few days later i received a call from someone stating that they really wanted to get me in earlier, so to please call them to reschedule. When i called back i asked - you now have openings? She said yes, we rescheduled and at the end of the conversation she gave me the address - PHOENIX!!!. I changed the appointment and went back to the one already scheduled for Mesa. When i arrived for my appointment, i sat around waiting for almost an hour and a half before being called in. The girl at the counter and the nurses were extremely nice. When the doctor came in, i could tell she was not a happy camper. After injecting the first needle, i said "this is strange" - The doctor immediately became defensive and asked me if I was having a problem already. She stated that she does this 7-8 times a day and most people don't even have discomfort. I replied that i was only saying that it was odd watching it on the screen. After about the 3rd time she put the needle in, i started feeling excruciating pain across my jaw. I was careful not to say anything, but I know i was clenching my eyes. She again became defensive and berating me for feeling pain. Not only does she do this 7-8 times a day, but there are patients that have double procedures that don't feel a thing. My response was "OK". After she finished, she said you are going to be bruised and swollen, but you came in here already swollen. After she left, the tears came running out of my eyes. The nurse was very compassionate and understanding and suggested i lay there for a while. When i went out into the waiting room the girl from behind the counter said the doctor recommended that i wait for 20 minutes - i was not waiting. I wanted to get the heck out of there. If something did happen, i wanted to get somewhere that had kind, compassionate doctors. I did not want to be there. The serious pain was gone shortly and most of the pain (other than feeling swollen and bruised) subsided within an hour or so. But for the next few days i couldn't help but continuing to play the doctors attitude over and over again in my mind. She really should not be in this line of work. read more

I never write reviews, but I feel it would be unjust not to share my experience and apologize to those I have assumed were just having a bad day when they described there experience. I went to Simonmed today for my daughters X-ray and after visiting the 64th St. Simonmed, where I was told that the Greenfield location was open until 8pm for walk-in x-rays. I was told that you cannot make an appt for an X-ray it's walk in only. I arrived at 5:30 at the Greenfield location. The waiting room was empty, the girls had horrible customer service, and told me they don't do x-rays after 5pm. I find this interesting as their website and the other location both stated that they take walk-ins until 8:00pm. In my opinion this is poor customer service, especially when you have locations valley wide; if the other locations are giving out information that another location is providing services until a certain time then they should give out accurate information. As a person who works in the medical field I will neither refer to this company, nor will I have my family go to this company. I now understand why patients express their dissatisfaction with these referrals having gone through the same situation myself. No thank you, there are plenty of other vendors that provide the same services who are honest and have accurate representation of their services, hours, and patient satisfaction. read more

I went in last week to pick up my medical records. Not only is there less than zero privacy when you're speaking with the ladies at the front desk, but the lady who handled my request also did NOT ask me for any identification! Thank goodness for them I am who I said I was. But the next person might not be. Scary! read more

Very poor customer service. Arrived 30 minutes before my appointment and requested a dvd for a previous MRI and I was told to do it at the end because they had a lot of people so If I only went there to request the dvd they will have to finish with all the people before that help me?? X-Rays are walk-in basis however 2 people were seen before me even though I had been there first. The front desk lady looked annoyed and seemed to be inconvenienced by anyone who had a question or needed assistance (I watched this with at least 4 different customers). I've been to this location a few times. Every time I've went there my co-pay was wrong. My deductible is only $150 and my copay would be above that amount. No way. I'd give them 3 stars based on that but there's more. However, I just got a push text message from their finance department. I wasn't sure if it was real or not so I called in. I was being billed $2,300-some dollars. Absolutely ridiculous! They were claiming that the insurance never paid the claim. I immediately called my insurance. I went to Simon Med in mid-February and the claim was paid out in early March. My insurance told me that I only owed them $2.20 according to their records. I called back Simon Med and the lady I talked to was rude! I asked her if she could call my insurance and verify and she said in a snotty way "that's not my job." Uhm ok, well you clearly don't do any part of your job. Anyways, they were going to send me to collections for something I didn't owe. I threatened with an attorney that I would definitely have followed up on. I immediately called my insurance back and explained everything that was going on. Insurance rep put me on hold so she can call them herself. She got it taken care of and I'm due a REFUND of $28. If you have the time and energy to micromanage these people to make sure your copay is correct and to make sure the bill properly, just go anywhere else. I've had excellent care and customer service at EVDI. read more

The front office staff and tech were friendly. However, waiting for the results of my CT scan take forever. I called and they said I could come get it today and then I called back to see if they could fax it, but then she tells me it's not finalized and I "may" be able to get it tomorrow. Why would you tell me I could come by today and get it but it can't be faxed until 1-2 days later. When you have health concerns that have been going on for 3+ months and they take their sweet time getting you results, I just find ridiculous. I will be going to a different imaging place from now on. read more

Have used Simon Med about 6 times since Sept 2020. I am very disappointed in Simon Med. Long hold times, change appointment times (without talking to me) the night before my appointment via text, November 27th there was a long wait time one hour (no consideration for when I ate last), there is a lot of people waiting in the waiting room on several occasions (30 people during the pandemic), Dobson/Southern and Greenfield/60 locations., and just had another long wait (11am appointment time and was finally seen at 1250pm, after 3 attempts to remind them about my appointment). I have not eaten all day due to the procedure. This is unacceptable on every count. The clerks at the desks don't acknowledge you at all and have their head down. On the 3rd attempt to get remind them of my 11am appointment, the clerk said they were coming out to get me. a customer should never have to do this. This is not a one time occurrence, but several. These medical services cost a lot of money and everyone's time should be valued. Customers have choices. I have given Simon Med 6 times too many to get their act together. I will take my business to Banner Imaging aka EVDI. Train your staff and stop overbooking! I am not the only one who feels this way. Other patients expressed that the customer service needs work! read more

All SimonMeds suck. Scheduled me for a procedure at a location that doesn't even do that procedure. Rescheduled and no one ordered prior test results so had to again reschedule. Totally disorganized so I don't trust their results either. Going to hope to find another provider. And this is for possible cancer - now I have to continue to wait and worry. Totally unprofessional. read more

After reading all the negative reviews about this center I was more than just a little nervous. I prepared myself for the worst but I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived right on time and was checked in immediately. I was told that I was responsible for $550 for the service. Yes, it's a lot of money but it's my health. If you're willing to spend $700 on a smart phone, you should be willing to spend that on your health. I was asked if I wanted to set up a six month payment plan which I accepted. I expected to wait a minimum of 30 minutes based on reviews so I went outside. The waiting area was really crowded and there were a lot of strong perfumy smells from waiting patients. Not even 10 minutes later I was called back. I was there for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. I had two techs, both of whom explained exactly what was going to happen. After my ultrasound the radiologist reviewed the report and came in to explain it to me. The whole process took less that 45 minutes. No complaints. read more

I had my 1st routine mammogram at this place. The experience was good. I got a nice discount for my mammogram because it was breast cancer awareness month. I will be returning when I'm 40. I would definitely recommend this place for mammogram. read more

This place is an administrative mess, as described in the other reviews here on yelp. Whomever is in charge is responsible since these problems have been going on for a year according to the prior reviews. They 1) lost my intake information and needed me to complete it twice 2) requested prior images from incorrect office and conducted NO follow up to ensure request received 3) since the records were never arriving they continued to rebook and rebook my appointment taking much time of mine and their staffpersons in a charade leading to nowhere 4 ) they reassured me repeatedly that the records were on the way but no one had actually called to check 5) I finally hunted down the office that held my prior records and was told that no request had ever been received I made the request myself directly and 6) the uncaring nature of administrative procedural norms in this office result in a lot of stress not to mention delay in diagnosing potentially life-threatening illness. SimonMed, wake up & fix this mess!! read more

Had an URGENT imaging request. Simon Med scheduled me for the next day. Asked me required questions. When I got there I completed paperwork, paid my fees, then went back to be told that I couldn't have imaging done. One of the questions that had to be asked to determine when scheduling could be done and it was not done correctly. Need more qualified people to schedule. There was also a line to the door and clearly at least 4 people at the front desk. Only two people are helping customers. I also did not get an apologizing for the wrongful scheduling. read more

Update to the text below : today I did receive a phone call from Mr Cody Hudson, the office manager at the Greenfield location : he apologized and explained the error that had occurred when they entered our insurance information . He corrected each claim that was needing to be refilled and assured me that he would also follow up in two weeks. He also assured me that he would coach the front desk staff . Things are looking up . Thank you Cody!!!! When you go in as a new patient and carefully fill out insurance billing info, dot every i and cross ever t AND provide a copy of your insurance card AND tell the clerk to please be sure to copy both sides of the card as it details claims submission instructions, you expect the insurance claim to be filed correctly. No, didn't happen! Instead, both my husband and I received a statement " insurance denied". No reason given. So I phoned and found out the insurance "could not identify us". I called the first time, gave all info again . Today I receive a billing statement again . I phoned again. . No, claims had not been resent. The clerk would do it today . I tried to contact the office manager. No luck . Finally with the help of a person from the Mountain View location, a phone message asking him to contact me ( gone to voice mail) followed up with an email to Mr Cody Hudson, who I was told is the office manager at the 1425 S Greenfield location, I was expecting a phone call with some form of verification of resolution and apology for this ridiculously sloppy and uncaring business office practice. The day is half over , so far nothing yet. We are not talking about a couple of bucks either .I will update my review if I hear anything . So having said all that , the technicians are wonderful! I wish that they would be able to work in a place that is more organized and precise in there business dealings! read more

This is the ABSOLUTE worst SimonMed. We had an appointment and still waited 2.5 hours. The office staff was snotty and could careless about patient care. My daughter sat for 2.5 hours in misery with a torn ACL and LCL and when I noted her discomfort sitting without her leg elevated they said my only option was to go somewhere else and that I needed to be wait like everyone else... ..are you kidding me? See my review misfiled under the Chandler location. The staff and office folks are fabulous. The billing from a third party, Physicians Services, is the worst I have ever experienced. If I hadn't questioned and challenged them multiple times, they would have taken nearly an extra $1,000 from me in bogus charges that stemmed from their lying about talking with my insurance company. Don't believe your first bill or even what they say when you call. Talk with your insurance company and confirm all chrages. read more

I will definitely not be using Simon Med anymore after the issue today and another problem a few weeks ago that the manager was looking into and I haven't heard back from her!! Their customer service is awful!!!! I understand the problems associated with Corona Virus and social distancing and that is why I dropped off my request for discs last week, so I could just come in and pick them up without waiting in line. I had called ahead and got the okay that I didn't have to wait in line to do this and the discs are ready. So without waiting in line, I just went up to the front desk and I stood in front of what could have been a new employee who was not helping anyone at the moment. New or not, no excuse! She should not be working with the public!!! She did not make eye contact with me or ask if she could help me, nothing. Just ignored me. Kept typing as if I wasn't even there, for at least 3-4 minutes. Finally I said Excuse me. Can I ask a question?" She said in the most rude tone "JUST A MINUTE," again without eye contact. After waiting a couple more minutes, I said to the girl sitting next to her "I am here to pick up my discs. I was told they are ready." She said Just a moment. I waited a few more minutes before going back to the first girl and asking can't I just pick up my disc? She then asked me a few questions in the most rude tone and it sounded like she was asking the same questions as are on the form to request discs and I answered a couple before thinking I don't have to answer these questions because I already filled out the form. I said again I am here to pick up my disc. The girl next to her told me I had to wait in line to get discs. I said "So-and-so said I don't have to wait in line. I already filled out the form and dropped it off last week and am here to pick up the disc." The rude girl walks to a table to get the disc and is complaining about me in a rude tone saying stuff like "Well, you didn't say that, you didn't say that," loud enough where coworkers and patients close by could hear her." I couldn't believe it! First off, I do believe I was clear in why I was there, but if I wasn't, why are you just letting me stand there in front you for all this time without asking me what I needed? The rude girl sat back down and I leaned in to her so I could say this quietly "You seriously need some work on your customer service skills," to which a patient sitting close by who heard me, said "I agree." This and the fact that the manager can't bother to call me back after I complained to her last week about one of her people not faxing my referral to my insurance company for authorization until 2 weeks after I made my appointment is why I emphatically say THIS OFFICE SUCKS!!! read more

I wish this review would carry over to multiple locations. This isn't necessarily specific to one location, though this is the one I go to most often. 1. MRI images are very poor quality. If you get a disc of your sessions as a patient - and you should request one, every time - take a look, even if you don't understand everything you are looking at. The images are so poor that it looks like a kindergartner has colored a picture with a crayon. Now, I know that they have just published they have entered a deal with a specific company and they are supposed to get better images. That does nothing for those of us who are looking for things like little tumors or clogged shunts up to this point. 2. A scheduler scheduled me for an MRI of each foot, but she scheduled them hours apart and didn't tell me, so both the center and I were panicking the day of. First of all, who does that? Second of all, if you haven't picked up the clues yet, I'm a frequent flyer who has a lot of health issues, and sitting for hours is not physically possible. The techs worked it out and we got it done, but that deserves a write-up. No excuses. And that scheduler needs to apologize directly to the people she affected. 3. The tech that did the MRIs of my feet didn't image the heels. I specifically put on the paperwork that the issues that I was having concentrated on the heels. I'm going to have to repeat the MRIs. Why were they cut off? Also, one foot has more images than the other, and they are different views. I didn't see the order, but the one that has less views has more issues. Why? WHY? 4. I had a brain and spine MRI series where tumors were discovered, but the radiologist didn't give sizes, locations or numbers, just said I had "many." Horrible. Lazy. 5. I had a CT of my abdomen that mentioned more tumors, but didn't talk about any that were on my kidneys. 6. I had another MRI of my abdomen, and finally someone talked about what was showing on my kidneys, but again, the images were so poor, I'm back to looking at a coloring book. 7. Your techs don't know that shunts with dials have metal in them. I happen to have a shunt that doesn't have a dial - and therefore no metal - because I'm horribly allergic to the nickel in the dial. It's the nickel that reacts to the MRI and moves. That's why they don't have to take an x-ray to look at my shunt before and after doing an MRI. It's in my file. I explain it every time. They want to fight with me every time. I provide really specific and valuable information, and instead, a bunch of people want to waste my time. read more

As a recovering cancer patient, I would like to think that my medical status mattered to these people, but it does not. The last two orders I had from my doctor for mammograms here were ignored. They did the tests they wanted, not what was asked for. Today I finally got sick of arguing and cancelled the mammogram to go elsewhere. My doctor specifically wanted one side done only and no ultrasound. They insisted I had to have BOTH sides AND the ultrasound. Is this just a way for them to get more money? I don't know, and I don't care, I will not go back. They did this for my mammo six months ago as well. And when I had the MRI, before my lumpectomy, they never sent the results to the surgeon, and I was laying on the table, under sedation, WAITING, while my doctor had to call them and get the results. WHILE I WAS ON THE TABLE. And never mind the repeated billing problems. I could write a book. read more

The people at SimonMed are incapable of doing their job. Getting an X Ray took 2 hours, when in reality it shouldn't take that long.
