Terrible experience. My appointment was moved and rescheduled 3 times and I was worried showed up that it would be rescheduled. The receptionists don't greet, nor do they talk to you about next steps etc. she just asked for my I.D and handed me the paperwork to fill out. I had to ask what would be next. It wasn't until I asked the other receptionist to make sure my insurance is covering. they were STILL checking , my scheduled time was for 3:15 and still running my insurance check. Why isn't this something that could have been done prior to me coming? I waited 50 minutes for them to tell me that they've been on the phone with my insurance and they were giving them the runaround... not sure why, this is the 3rd time they've blamed my insurance. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield... I ended up still having to pay $280 out of pocket. They don't provide any itemized receipt just receipt of payment. Janey was my tech. Very nice and accommodating to my injury and comfort. Complete opposite of the receptionists. She made the quality of care nice. I gave them a better rating for her. read more

JESUS H CHRIST PEOPLE! GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR BUTT. If you're friggin MRI MACHINE US BROKEN, SAY THAT so people don't waste time coming to you. SAY IT when folk call.. SAY IT on your voice prompts, SAY 8T if someone arrives and it's 3pm. Don't say, "we stop taking MRI walk ins at 3" and the reality is, YOUR MACHINE IS BROKEN you bonehead. I swear, folks hire these McDonald's mentality low pay just out of highschool looking workers and they will treat the job that way. Wasted two days with these idiots, and the surgery is this week. I just left this facility, having undergone my first mammogram. After reading the reviews I was very nervous, but I have no idea what some of these reviews are complaining about! The facility was extremely clean. The receptionists at the front desk were friendly and efficient, working through the line extremely quickly. I was seen 5 minutes before my appointment time, but arrived 15 minutes early as instructed to check-in and the technician performing my procedure explained everything to me, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I could not have asked for a better experience for my first mammogram from start to finish. read more

I received numerous texts and calls after I needed an x ray. The emails and texts mention that x-rays are walk in and no appointment is needed. I go to this location on a weekend, they mention there is no x ray tech there. They send me to a second location. I call the second location before making the drive to confirm that they have an x ray tech. They confirm but once I arrive they mention they cannot help me due to the x ray I need and the tech did not do those type x rays. I mentioned I called to confirm and she said "yeah I don't know why they would send you here". She tries to send me to a 3rd location. I call again to ask why do they mention "walk in" if the actual x ray hours are only M-F 8am - 3pm. I explain that I am not driving to a 3rd location after already using an hour of my time and my gas. The call center person said "maybe it's the type of x ray you need" I asked if he could confirm that the location would be able to see me. Places me on "hold" and it just sends me to the survey and "thank you for calling Simon med". They fail to communicate properly on the hours that the x ray is available and give you the run around. The call center person was not helpful as I called before going to the 2nd location just to get turned away. It would be more helpful if you were able to call a DIRECT location that you plan on going to versus a representative who has no idea about medical needs and just says "yeah they have a tech" read more

A lot of waiting time to get to your appointments. Also kind of a dirty place. Could use a deep cleaning of the whole building.

This was a horrible experience. I made my appointment on the app. I got there 30 minutes before my appointment. There is no one at the front desk. The window was closed. I checked in four different times on the machine in the front. I never got my name added to the list on the little TV screen. I talked to the girls and they open the door to call someone else's name and they said rudely they would check and get back to me and nobody came back. Eventually someone told me that they were backed up but again no one came back 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment I still was not seen and wound up, leaving because I had an additional appointment to go to. There was no compassion, no understanding and they were rude to anybody who complained or asked questions Horrible. I wouldn't recommend this location at all. As I'm looking at all these horrible reviews complaining of pretty much the same type of issues I've had. I'm noticing that the only time the customer service representative Lindsey response is when someone gives one of the very few positive reviews. There's hardly any response whatsoever to all these similar complaints. What an unprofessional again horrible experience. Also noticed how many times people use the word horrible to describe this place. read more

Great service! I was satisfied with the quality of care. Thank you! They were very friendly and attentive.

Only game in town? This would've been my 20th appointment. Moved ,adjusted ,rescheduled etc in the last 6 years . Made it to the parking lot, they called and canceled. It is just a patient. We do not matter. I have now rescheduled this one 3 times ,no contrast admin? I have lost thousands of dollars ,from the multiple ' rescheduled tests. I have also reached out to my cancer teams for an alternative. Staff is amazing with you guys. Just really frustrated. I gave up my shift, church, gym and all food ,for today. Third time for this one test ! Yes stage 4 cancer, yes positive energy, except when I move EVERYTHING, TO HAVE YOU CANCEL IN THE P LOT . Not yelling. Ok my food is here, see you in 2 weeks. If the Doctors can wait. This was a pre surgery ,so time is not important???? read more

Staff is very nice, facility clean. They only do walk ins for xrays and have very long wait times ( 3 hours today). The staff was very honest about the wait. However, to the management of Simon Med: if you don't have adequate staff for x-rays, I suggest you do appointments vs. walk-ins. Personally, because I knew it would be hours, I am off work today, so I'm not upset, but a LOT of people are upset and would choose your competitor if one ever becomes available. I do wish that one was available. read more

I was told an hour wait but instead the wait was 1.5 hours and I watched as they called in people that arrived after me. Don't recommend coming here for x-rays, there's better facilities than this one. read more

I scheduled an appointment for a breast ultrasound as ordered by my PCP. They tried to convince me that I needed a mammogram, but I just wanted what my doctor ordered. I showed early for my appointment only to find out that they scheduled me for a mammogram anyway. I told the receptionist I was supposed to have an ultrasound, showed her the order from my doctor and was told I would have to be rescheduled. I showed up this morning for my rescheduled breast ultrasound and was told that I needed a mammogram not a breast ultrasound. They scheduled me for a mammogram, AGAIN. She said mammograms are better, that's what you need. I explains that I only wanted what my doctor had ordered. The receptionist told me she could "call my doctor and educate her on appropriate breast health". Third time being spoken to like an insubordinate cold by a receptionist at Simon Meds 91st and Thomas location and now they're going to educate my doctor? Profits have overrun good customer service at Simon Med. read more

Updating review just to let folks know that I eventually did get my refund. It wasn't until I posted here on Yelp that I made any progress so I'd recommend if others are having problems to post here and also to info@simonmed.com for assistance because their official billing team phone support doesn't know anything and just reads wrong information from whatever script or training they received. The whole way this company manages billing for procedures needs a complete overhaul. I would suggest the following changes: 1. Discontinue your practice collecting estimated patient responsibility amounts up front. There is absolutely no guarantee this is correct. Often other claims will be filed ahead of yours, in which case the deductible is met by those other claims instead of yours. SimonMed can afford to hire legal services to collect from patients if that becomes a problem later. Your patients are financially weaker and can't afford to loan you money because you prefer to avoid the inconvenience of trying to collect after the fact. 2. Ensure your billing center call staff is both knowledgeable and empowered to fix problems. Today, they function as little more than a barricade between the customer and the staff at SimonMed who can actually fix billing problems. The script is always the same. "We will add a note... We will put in a request... please allow 30 to 45 days..." and they give the same time range every call it never goes down. 3. Respond to and resolve your BBB complaints quickly. These three changes will solve countless hours of customer frustration and inconvenience. read more

What a horrible experience - I can't even get the help I need to schedule an appointment. "Your hold time is 8 min." I am writing this review as I wait on a 45 min hold for the 6th time in 2 days. I literally begged the last receptionist NOT to put me back on hold and she hung up on me. I was emailed a patient portal (Open Doctor) with no info and when I finally reached someone to ask about it she said she didn't know anything about a patient portal but she'd be happy to schedule my apt. "Awesome!" Check out my confirmation email - smh - then I was sent a customer satisfaction survey?!? You can't make this stuff up! ...Still on hold an hour later. I just thought I'd get a faster response from 'Business Customer Service' if I Yelped about it. I guess I'll try to walk in if I'm still on hold in a couple hours. Congrats on being my first 1 star review. UPDATE: Bianca G. was the first person to help me out 1hour and 17 min later. Thank you! Now I get to drive an hour out of my way to avoid a month long wait. read more

I had a 6:30 MRI- came in and was warmly greeted by Erika- got registered and sat to wait in a spacious and clean waiting room. The technician was running behind and Erika made sure to keep me informed. Had the MRI done- technician was understanding and patient. Process went smooth. Both employees were competent, friendly and they genuinely smiled. This location is open late and is conveniently located. I will definitely return here. read more

My doctor and I did a three-way call with this company. They knew exactly what test I needed done I was here 15 minutes early and then they told me the guy who does my test leaves at 2:00 which is what time my appointment was for. so they couldn't help me today. Office manager or whoever takes the calls and makes scheduling is not doing a great job. Thanks for letting me travel 25 miles to get to you for nothing read more

Worst medical facility ever. I walked in for an MRI at my scheduled time, which was early morning. Only a receptionist and another person, who I'm wondering now was even a nurse. I waited an hour, called back, shoved into the tube for 50 minutes! Then I needed contrast. I got stuck 4 freaking times! I'm pretty sure you can only stick 2 times before it's handed over, but again, there were only 2 people there...no doctor around whatsoever!!! 2 weeks later...I had to get xrays and they said they have no one there until 830am, this was at 7am. I arrive at 830am, only to find out there's over an hour wait time. Thanks for letting me know, receptionist of the year. Never again. Not to mention, both facilities look like hell hole. I'll pay out of pocket before using them again. I'm going to make sure they are investigated by the medical board of AZ. They're absolutely pathetic!!!! read more

Horrible place. I'm 75, disabled, and live in rural Buckeye. First Simon Med where the doc sent the orders was Buckeye. They don't do this type of scan, but gave me the number for one that did in Goodyear. Made an appt. (3 weeks), called before I left to verify drs. orders were received, arrived 20 minutes early. Filled out all the paperwork, waited 45 minutes AFTER MY APPT. time, and then a tech comes out and tells me they don't do that here, but they'll send me to their office that does. Silly me, I thought they would call and set it up for now! They hand me a referral with the location and number and tell me to call for an appt. I called right away and it would be 2 more weeks. Drove the 90 minutes home. Drove in again, was 15 minutes early, given more paperwork!?! I already filled this out, and this is a referral from Goodyear. Oh, ok, you have a co-pay, and I pay. Wait and its only a few minutes beyond my appt. time when I get in. The assistant is nice, she helps me removing my braces, and says the tech will be in to check that everything is off cause he's very fussy. The tech is a "frat boy" with a really bad attitude who immediately talks to me like I'm senile and tells me he's not going to help me, so if I can't manage on my own, I better make other arrangements? What!?! I'd had enough of Simon Med, got dressed (on my own, I never had asked for any help) and went back to the front desk, where I said my appt. was cancelled and I wanted my copay back. The girl says we'll credit it back and it will take 6-8 weeks, and I said, NO. You just now charged it, and you will credit it back NOW and give me a receipt NOW. By this time, "frat boy" and the office manager are at the front desk, apparently he's complained about me cancelling my appt., but the manager looks around at the full waiting room and this elderly woman with a cane, and decides this is a no win for her. She takes over the computer, and I get my credit back and a receipt. I will never set foot in a Simon Med again, and I spread the word at every opportunity. read more

Not sure why SimonMed would call me for an exam then say I can't have my appointment because they don't have the forms from the docotr. I didn't call to make appointment, they called me so that means they have the form that says what exams I need. Very frustrating to get to the appointment and the front office say they need the form. I call docotr office they say they faxed that form. SimonMed says they don't have it. So then I just go pick up the form from the doctor office and take to SimonMed but now I have to reschedule. It's another month wait to take these breast exams. read more

X Rays are only walk in. You can't make an appointment. Looked online and it said no wait. Got here and wait is 45 minutes. Which is now an hour and a half. They have taken my payment before providing service so I am stuck here for however long it is going to take. You need to update your business practices. We all have smart phones now. Let us schedule online. Let us see how long the wait really is. An hour and a half is twice as long as 45 minutes. read more

Was impossible to schedule appointment. Appointment was made- cancelled by SimonMed. Tried to remake it, was screamed at by phone scheduler. When coming in, early at 11am - we were greeted at the desk stating "your appt was at 1030a." Never mind that the confirmation email states 11:15a. There were 3 tests to be completed but we had to be "squeezed in" because they cannot keep their appointments straight and correct. So yes, we had 4 hours to wait around unexpectedly. So here we are waiting at no fault of our own, folks in the office don't seem to mind because they are getting paid to be there. Now let's get to the fact that previous documentation was need and imagine this we were not notified ahead of time. So we had to leave, go back home to retrieve documents that we were not alerted to bring. So if you make an appointment with Simon Med Imaging do your self a favor and pretend like the desk staff has no experience or common sense. And looking at the reviews for most locations, our experience does not seem isolated #eyeopener read more

No call to let us know they were an hour behind! Still waiting after 2 hours. Very rude front desk, as if they just don't care!

Very disappointed this time. Went in for an ultrasound. I told them I had neck pain, yet they used an intern being trained by the other technician, and she was so very slow. Asking questions and being redirected during the procedure. Finally, I said that I understand the need for training, but that I need this procedure over with. Then the technician took over and finished in less than 60 seconds. Not impressed with the lack of compassion or asking the patient whether they were okay with the slow, stumbling approach. Afterwards, I asked the front desk person for a copy of the images, which they routinely provide. They told me it would take 5 minutes and to have a seat. I waited for 15 minutes, then asked for an update. She said, "oh, I forgot." Not impressed. read more

First time at this location, this is a very large building with very poor signage as to where the entrance is located. I walked past a homeless person who was sleeping in front of the building I checked to make sure he was okay. Once I checked in I was told it would be at least an hour wait for my appointment and that their Air conditioning was not working in the building. WTF?? Would have been better customer service if they would have called me to reschedule instead of sitting in a very warm waiting area with no AC. I told the rude receptionist I have been standing in line. I said for walk in x-rays you don't need an appt. But she kept insisting I needed an appt. Wow so I had a scheduling technician literally schedule me an appointment at 12:00pm. Upon my arrival, the front office clerk informed me that since there are many people waiting before me and it's only fair, I would have to wait an hour for my appointment. This is completely crazy and so unprofessional. I am off today and a little more respect for my time is appreciated. My time is valuable and sitting here for an hour when I went through the process of scheduling is Not OK. Simon Med should spend a little more time hiring more qualified people for their facility.
