I called to check availability and a tattoo artist who can do fine lines. I spoke to Blake and he suggested to come as they have two tattoo artists coming in a half hour. I went ahead and started driving as the drive was 35 minutes away. When I got there, he had me meet Divine who was the tattoo artist and I showed her a picture of the tattoo I would like. She drew it and I was so particular about the size being much smaller than the picture that she went back a handful of times to adjust the size. She was so very patient and kind with me. She took me to the back to do the tattoo and placed it on my wrist and it was still somewhat bigger than what I had wanted. Once again she was very kind and patient enough to adjust it and shorten it. She was very gentle and meticulous about her work. I loved how it turned out and I loved being able to get this done by her just as a walk in. I will definitely recommend this place and Divine. Thank you!

I called super last minute and asked if I could come do a walk in tattoo appointment and they gladly helped me out. The girl working at the front desk is super cool and she inked me up. The building is a vibe‍ There's a pool table, games, drinks, and comfy couches to sit on as you wait to get tatted. I showed her what I wanted and she did an amazing job! I know my bf will be so excited to see it. I didn't get the girls name that did my tat, but just wanted to say I appreciate you and I LOVE ITTT. She was so quick too, it felt like 30 minutes.

Came here with my family who were getting matching tattoos. Also brought our toddler son with us. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. Their lounge area is AWESOME. Games, tv, couches, pool table, vending machine and complimentary coffee = the best waiting room I've ever been in. My partner's tattoo is still looking good after these last few hot days. Sounds like it's a $100 minimum for tattoos? And they are doing a raffle this month where the prize is a $100 credit. That is awesome. Im definitely coming here for my own tattoos

I am leaving a review based on my first experience walking in.. right as I came in the girl at the front desk (Stephanie) was not friendly at all. She didn't welcome me in.. instead she stared at me until I said who I had my appointment with. Then rudely decided to hand me paperwork. After I finished filling out my form she then looked at me as if I knew to hand her my ID.. then proceeded to say "we'll I need your ID" (rudely).. I like a comfortable welcoming when walking into a tattoo shop that Iv never been to before. And she was not it unfortunately..

October 2022 I got my fist tattoo! Justin Moran @mr_tattoos did an amazing job! It was the 10th anniversary of the passing my sweet mother and I wanted a tattoo to celebrate her life and have a piece of her with my forever. I had a few inspiration photos with the hope we could combine two concepts. Justin was so attentive to what I wanted and worked with me until we got it just right. First timer at this location. There's a bike shop down stairs and from the side is the entry way to the Tattoo shop. Everyone is nice and knowledgeable. Pretty cool hang out spot as you wait to get a tattoo or a piercing. As you enter, it's a small lobby with front desk and some apparel. The salt tank was beautiful as well. There's a game room. Free game play, sofas, bar ( was not available when I was there during the day), big, clean bathroom.

Today, Feb. 11, 2022, would've been my mom's 96th birthday. She absolutely loved hummingbirds, it was a thing with her. So today I honored her with a tattoo. I walked-in at Simm's Ink above the motorcycle store. I found everyone there very nice, friendly and personable. I had to wait a bit while they designed my art in the lounge, an amazing party room with vending, pinball and a full bar. The bar wasn't open, I think it's for special occasions. Total time: wait and tattoo, a little over an hour. I was tattooed by Panch, who's a pretty nice guy, and talented! I'm very happy. I recommend the whole crew. I'll be back!

I have lived in Hayward forever.. I have never went to Simms Ink- for my daughters birthday she asked for a cartilage piercing.. We did research and decided to try Simms. We walked in- we were greeted by two nice men. Zak and Jermaine. They helped us get started, let me and my family sit in the most amazing waiting room.. Zak called us in, he explained the process he knew my daughter was nervous, he was totally patient and pierced her ear with no problem- no tears and he delt with our nervous rambling.. Thanks guys so much!! We would definelty go back and would recommend Zak all day. read more

Nose pierce cost $40 and was really fast, clean, organized, etc. I was impressed. Natasha noticed that the nose ring was sticking out quite a bit, and told me to return in 2 days and she'd readjust it. I returned, she took it out and cut it down, reshaped it and put it back in. She's a pro. No irritation, no swelling, etc. I love it. I definitely recommend this place. read more

Sims is a duet upscale Motorcycle and tattoo/piercing salon. They sell high-end "chopper" bikes, and have a pretty nice selection. The tattoo parlor is the best part about this place, though. It is actually separate from the shop, and must be entered from the stairs on the side. Their pricing is reasonable, and they can do pretty much anything. They always ask for ID, so don't get any ideas, kids. They also sell jewelry for piercings. The artists are very good at what they do, i have witnessed 2 friends get things done ( one tattoo one tongue piercing) and they are quick, clean, and professional. They are very friendly, and will make you feel comfortable. If you are getting a long tattoo, you can watch TV or a movie in the comfy chairs while you get inked. read more

My sister and I got pierced by Natasha and we loved her! She's super quick and helpful with tips on aftercare and cleaning. My sister got her conch done, and the ball on the back fell off after a week or so because of swelling, but we came back to get it replaced with no charge. She was very nice and friendly throughout the whole process, we recommend Natasha 100%. read more

Hubby is getting my name ink'd on his forearm. We were introduced to Rick, and right then he quickly drafted my husbands design according to what he had in mind. I was very flattered and most of all was impressed by the design. 200% on delivery and quality! You ask them how long, they will say "As long as it takes" it's that good. My experience here was exactly what I was after. The space is clean and welcoming, with a lounge area that has impressive art, comfortable couches, and classic arcade games to pass your time if you have to wait for a bit. The staff at the front desk were friendly and enthusiastic, so if you're a bit nervous about, say, getting your nipples pierced, the environment is good at calming your jitters. As for the actual piercing, Natasha is experienced and efficient. She made having needles pushed through my nipples an easy and fun experience that was about as painless as you can expect that to be. Next time I get a piercing, I'll be going back, and judging by the portfolios of their tattoo artists, they'll be an easy choice for getting my first in a few months. read more

Needed a new piercing shop and was referred here and found Natasha.. and what a lucky find she was. She repierced my tongue and I've gotten a triple forward helix piercing. I had such an amazing experience here. I just walked in and they took me right away! They put me with Trevor, he listens to what I wanted and executed it better then I could have imagined. Great people and great service. The place is also very professional and clean. After doing some research of other places/piercers, I decided to go here and got my ears pierced by Natasha a couple months ago. She was very professional, attentive, nice, and helpful. I will definitely go back to her if I decide to get another piercing. Also, just revisited here recently and got my piercings changed out by Alexis. She was also great and super helpful! I cannot say enough good things about Simm's. The staff is polite if somewhat casual but the artists there are phenomenal. Start with Rick...a master. His fine line work and eye for detail comes so naturally to him. His hands are incredibly steady and his needle has the lightest touch. He's great on portraits as is Myles. The portrait of my mother on my sons arm, which was done by Myles, is perfection. There are other great artists like Ronnie who does great work but let me introduce you to Jen Marshall. Her mastery of color will eventually set her apart from others in The Bay Area. My twins and I have been elsewhere but now I won't go any where else. read more

Let me start by saying that I am a very picky high maintenance lady... That said, I love Simms. The staff there are hilarious and welcoming, listen to what you want and will work with you until everything is perfect. I had a cover-up done by Victor. The piece covers my entire back and took two very long sessions. He continually checked to be sure I was ok, asked if I needed breaks and periodically showed the progress of my piece. The final product is breathtaking. Even my anti-tattoo family love it. I HIGHLY recommend Simms. I will never go anywhere else and shouldn't either. read more

Got my favorite little hieroglyph of Ma'at done by Paul Jack. He did an amazing job. I didn't have to wait very long with him setting up. I loved how everything came out. I went to Simms ink with my younger cousins about 3 weeks ago to get our noses and ears pierced. This was something we did on a whim. I wanted to get my septum and left nostril pierced for a very long time, my one cousin had wanted her nostril pierced also, and her sister wanted her second ear piercings. The staff was very nice when we got there, and the building was very clean. Our only complaint was that almost no one was wearing any masks or complying with the social distancing guidelines. Our piercer, Alexis, was very nice, understanding and was the only one wearing a mask. We all told her exactly what we wanted, and she pierced all of us exactly how we wanted it. She pierced my sweet spot, so I felt no pain at all for the septum, and the pain from the nostril piercing was completely bearable. My cousins also said that the pain was bearable/barely even there. She also gave us her Instagram on our aftercare sheets to reach out to her if we had any problems with our piercings. I wear glasses and work in retail, so that combination of my glasses sliding down my face and taking a mask off caused a friction bump on my nostril piercing, so I reached out to her for help, and she helped me out very quickly. If you ever go to Simms Ink, get Alexis to pierce you!! It would be nicer if the staff wore masks read more

Rick, who is a veteran tatooist going 29 years back, worked with me to develop a great design and didn't stop until I was completely satisfied with it. I was more than thrilled. I love my little loving sea horses. It didn't take as long as I thought it would either. Great conversation, music and energy. I highly recommend this place :) read more

I went with a friend months ago to get her nose pierced. She got two nose piercing on a Friday because it's $35! She mentioned how Natasha did many of her piercings and they all healed nicely. I liked how her nose piercing came out. So after doing my research for septum that I've been wanting for awhile, I finally decided to get it done. I was very concerned with the pain lol... but when Natasha did the whole process the clamp hurt more than the needle. IMO the pain overall is a 1 out of 5. Anyways it's only been 3 days since I've gotten my septum and there's no pain unless I accidentally move the piercing (but it doesn't hurt at all lol more like uncomfortable). Overall good experience! I would really recommend coming here to get your septum pierced. Natasha is very fast and you can tell very knowledgeable. She also did my boyfriend piercing and it looks great! I'll be updating this review on how the septum heals. :-) read more

I love this place! Everyone there does great work and the environment is friendly and everyone is very outgoing. Rick is my go to guy as well as my husbands. I love that he will be completely honest and tell you what to expect. I can show him 4 different pictures and he can combined them all. His portraits turn out great. He's done a few on my brother. I have about 5 different pieces from him and the color still looks like it did when I first got it. I have a lot of tattoo shops in my area but I'd rather drive an hour just for Rick because his work never disappoints me. I always know I'm going to leave with a great tattoo. Myles doesn't know how to listen to his clients I've been trying for months to get my tattoo finished and he sketched work for me that I did not ask for and I sent him numerous pics of what I wanted still here for am with an unfinished tattoo after months of waiting do not recommend. read more

My review is a bit late, but has nothing to do with Simms (just my laziness). I went in for piercings with Natasha. She was very professional and the experience was WAY better than I could have expected. The actual piercing didn't hurt, just a bit uncomfortable. The healing hurt more than getting pierced. Natasha explained what to expect during the healing process and that the healing process was lengthy. So glad I chose Simms for my piercings, just wish I hadn't waited so long! read more

After some back-and-forth, she refused to do my Bible verse tattoo and encourage me to do my secondary tattoo which I chose to be a sword. She refused to do my lettering because she said it was too small, but as you can see by the tattoo in my arm, she can easily draw small lettering. So that was odd. Then, when it came to the placement of the tattoo, because of the location on my shoulder, the tattoo was not straight. She actually yelled at me because I wasn't satisfied when the stencil went on my arm. The other guy stepped in and he was able to correct the issue by using a ruler and measuring the distance from my existing tattoo to get the evenly spaced apart tattoos. This was odd. Once the placement was good to go, the tattoo experience was good. Due to the customer service skills of the other guy in the shop, I asked Erika to give me his info so I can have him do my Bible verse tattoo. I sent him a message on Instagram, but he ignored me and hasn't responded. I would not recommend the shop. A tattoo is a permanent piece of art on your body, for the most part. If someone yells at you because you're not happy with the tattoo or the placement of it, it is simply bad customer service. I paid her above asking, a good tip and also paid her $100 because I missed a previous appointment. Time is valuable. I anticipate Erica will grow her patience and customer service skills. She will be the complete package when this happens. But if all you care about is an extremely talented artist and tattoo professional, then Erika is your person.

I did come in with my own design but resizing and placement was my main concern. I did one consultation just to talk about the original design and how to modify it to be the size I wanted it to be. The second consultation was for placement and refining the size. I really liked that I was able to get the stencil placed on me before "signing off" on the design. Because my schedule was very flexible and I live not too far from the shop, scheduling was straight forward. We worked out a day and time that worked best for both of us and I paid a deposit to hold the date. I ended up coming to my appointment 20 minutes early and Noli was already ready to go. This wasn't my first tattooing experience so I knew what to expect. The final product turned out better than I expected. Noli added more depth to my tattoo that made it look like an artist took a paintbrush to my hip.The level of detail in the amount of time (2.5hr) was amazing; I'm impressed. The only reason why I docked a star is that, during the consultation process, there were a few times where we would schedule a time and then I would get a last minute rescheduling request. Because I live close, it wasn't too much of nuisance but it was a little frustrating.

Hey, so i know everyone is on here talking about how great this place is and i agree they have some cool artist's in there but when i went on SEVERAL different occasions to see an artist named Glory, im so not even happy with my tattoo, Its cool and all but i think its just missing that touch. Maybe because when my oppointment was he called me to tell me he had to push it back an hour, i didnt mind that i was a lil busy myself but when i got there about 10-15 mins early he was sitting at his station with a blunt in his mouth with a client smoking right in front of an infant. and when it was my turn i was just a lil bit leary, then i look at his station n he was drinking beer. I mean it was a weekend but no one should tattoo some one THAT fucked up. n i couldnt reschedule cuz i was moving soon n i wanted it healed before i went to hawaii and went surfing. So im sitting there tryin to explain my tattoo to him and he totally doesnt even understand what im saying hes sayin that when he draws it he's gonna do it his way, im all for lettin the artist do his thing but it wasnt what i wanted, so i end up payin 100 for some regular stars then at the end he goes for 50 more dollars ill put some color in it. so i go look at em, he walks over to the mirror wit me n all he can stare at is my chest! I was so shocked and the fact he made comments about them too is what got me, so they look hella plain so i decide to get color, and so we go back to his station and he goes to the movie player and what do u know. POP'S in a PORNO. yes ladies and gents, the man in front of my mother, friends, and bf at the time while he is tattooing me is watcing porn. lets just say i was in there a long time, maybe 5 hours. I love all the artists and i admit it was a bad decision on my part to let him tattoo me while he was under the influence. All my friends ask where i got my tattoo n i tell em, but i also tell em what to look out for at other tattoo shops and places. I give this shop 5 stars because the place is amazing first of all! It's huge! And it's very clean and all the equipment is sterile. The staff are all hilarious and good looking and they make me feel extremely comfortable. All my tattoos get compliments day after day and I'm proud to say I got my work done at Simms Ink. I also have piercings that have healed immaculately and those too get compliments often. There's so much to keep your mind off being nervous while you wait. They have a nice sized flat screen in the lobby as well as amazing artwork hanging up done by the artist AND merchandise to chose from. As I went to the artist lounge I was stunned by how much bigger the place looks when I hit the corner to come into another room with another flat screen and music playing and everyone is into their work they're doing. It was convenient when I needed a drink and they had a customized soda machine with their logo on it. Of course drinking soda I eventually had to use the restroom which was bigger then my front room. And stalled with enough mirrors to keep checking out my tattoos while I wash my hands. LOL. I highly recommend this shop for tattoos and piercings. GOOD TATTOOS AREN'T CHEAP AND CHEAP TATTOOS AREN'T GOOD. SO worth every penny. I've gotten cheap tattoos only to have them come out with me crying and Simms have helped me cover those horrible memories and now I have gorgeous vibrant art that makes me feel confident and super satisfied with my choice. read more

Wow! Simms does a great job at hiding all of their negative, but truthful reviews in the "not recommended" section, which you will have to scroll down to see. Please read THOSE reviews if you want the truth about this place. I have been here before and I was given a WAY overpriced tattoo that was NOT quality work, as many of their "hidden" reviews here also agree. The tattoo artist had a very condescending and snobby attitude with me and also charged me way too much, taking advantage of the fact I didn't appear to be too familiar with the tattoo industry. This is not a good place to go if this is your first tattoo or you are not aware of the regular pricing ranges for a tattoo....be warned! I knew something was fishy here with all these 5 star reviews. As soon as you click on the "not recommended" reviews you see all the terrible and real experiences as well as the low stars that they don't factor into the overall ranking. Paul Kevin Jack II He is what custom tattoo artists are made of. I was able to discuss with him a tattoo concept and he created the most beautiful visualization of something that I was only able to see in my mind. He is an amazing artist and conducts himself with the utmost professionalism while being very personable. He ensured that I was comfortable thought the entire duration of the experience. Well....let me just start out by saying that if you don't have a plan in your life to get addicted to tattoos, DO NOT come here. I absolutely LOVE Simms. Every single person there is so unbelievably chill. They are all extremely knowledgeable when it comes to tattoos and piercings and how to take care of them and maintain their beauty. My artist is Shannon, he's the guy up front with the black curtain in the window, he's more known as Mo' Better. His wait is long, but don't let it turn you off, he's well worth the wait. I would never go anywhere else to get a tattoo done because anyone in that shop will have you leaving with a smile on your face and a beautiful piece of work. They are the cleanest and neatest shop I have ever been to, which to me is very important when it come to needles and permanent things :) I could go on and on forever raving about them, i just love it there. I came here to get a tattoo the other day and my tattoo artist was drinking beer while working and late for my appointment. I didn't even bother getting a piercing. that hydi girl no longer pierces here so I didn't get my piercing. I have been reffered here by many to come for a simple rose tattoo and the artist added more that I never asked for. the artists drink alcohol and smoke marijuana while working. I also noticed there is a an awfully high amount of traffic from this place with thugs. I would recommend another shop for tattoos and piercings if you don't want a screwed up tattoo or piercing. everyone working here looks out of place and high. I brought my daughter who is 15 and the guy up front would not leave here alone. he came off perverted. they party way too much for running a professional business. this place is a mess read more

Simms Ink is great- it's a clean professional establishment with powerful artistic vibes. I got a tattoo from Rick Colao. I'm really glad I turned to him to expand on a rosary I have on my forearm and hand. Originally, I went to Zebras Tattoo in Walnut Creek and though I've had some great work done there, I got a horrible rosary from some guy who was overly proud he did Stephen Curry's tattoos. Fortunately, Rick over at Sims really turned my rosary into a work of art. He took his time, used different colors and shading techniques to create a beautiful tattoo. It was a relief to have him expand my piece after the bad experience with the other tattoo artist. Now I know who to turn to for any more ink I decide to get. I would definitely recommend this place over other places if you're thinking about getting a tattoo. read more

Very clean and tidy shop. Always busy no matter what time of day you go.. The best guy to go to, hands down, is Shannon aka mo' better. He is very professional and the crazy thing is that even though a very skilled and talented artist, he himself has no ink! but Shannon does amazing work and you'll just love anything you'll get from him because he puts a lot of passion into his work. I've gotten about 12 hours of work done from him and wouldn't mind going back for more! he has tons of DVD's to choose from, otherwise he's easy to talk to. like i said, i'd go back for more pain..perhaps in the future. p.s. I got my first tattoo at Simms Ink about a year ago from GLORY! He is the man! I wanted a heart on my foot and he designed one like I have never seen, so original. He also fixed the tattoo I have of my girl's lips. I got the original one done at Twisted Illusions and it faded and a lot of it peeled off, I tried going back but they were going to charge me the same price to touch it up as they did for the tattoo! I went to Glory and he hooked me up! The bodyart he did on me looks like I just got it, his designs are off the hook! I am going back in a few weeks so that he can fix and add on to my other tattoo I got a Twisted Illusions, needles to say it needs a lot of work! I first went to SIMMS In October 08 for my first Tattoo. Shannon did my neck. I can not say enough good things..Shannon was very professional, nice and funny. The job he did on my neck was and still is amazing!!! The attention to detail and color is out of this world...His work HIS design is so much more than I could have imagined. The shop is extremely clean. ALL the artist here are very nice and ALL are extremely talanted people. I WILL be back for more ink. Jen did my hand tattoo and absolutely nailed it! Everyone there is courteous and friendly (and absolutely hilarious!) They have a waiting room full of FREE to play arcade games and a bar! Which definitely makes waiting entertaining. The shop design is super interesting and extremely clean. I've definitely found my new go to tattoo shop, and I highly recommend Jen! Went in for a Tattoo for my Birthday and man this place did what I wanted at a fair price for what I got. I'm a huge Dragon Ball Z Fan and so I wanted to get a Shenron tattoo under my Z Tattoo as a add on and I will get more soon. So I got this tattoo on April 29th 2017 and it only took 3 hours but man did it turn out good and healed nicely. I will be coming back for more and man I love this Tattoo. Before I found Simms I had gotten every tattoo at a different shop. Simms is a very comfortable clean environment, they make you feel at home. My artist is Glory and he does fabulous work! Natashsa is the greatest, I had a little thing that I needed help with, one of my plugs fell out so long ago, and thankfully didn't close all the way but it needed to be stretched back out just a little bit (have to be in some wedding photos, didn't wanna look lopsided) she was able to take me so fast and she stretched it even faster, seriously so professional and with the quickness. I came here to get my tongue pierced and I literally had the worst experience ever. The piercer was so unprofessional and said my tongue was shaped weird but I had pierced it before and it was completely centered and perfect but I had to take it out for work. She pierced it centered at the top but pierced through the wrong area at the bottom and she said it was fine and clearly it wasn't because it caused my tongue to swell and turn purple. i had to create a yelp account just to write this review, i didnt get tattooed or pierced, just joined some that were, and this place is amazing! it is very clean, the staff are so polite, (not really what i expected for a tattoo shop), and the place is huge, i mean huge, a whole "play room" pool table, bar, tv. they have it all, and so many talented people work here. if i ever want something i will come here for sure! read more
