I'd like to update my previous review dated May 31, 2026 and rate All Star Builders accordingly…read more The delay in a prompt response to the cracking grout issue was a result of my error in leaving messages to the wrong person. Once the appropriate team became aware of the issue, the problem was fixed within a week. The shower floor was regrouted, smoothed out to eliminate water from gathering in several areas of the shower floor. Now the water moves directly to the drain, no water residue, floor is smooth, and it dries accordingly. Great job on the immediate attention to this matter. A job well done. I appreciate All Star Builders for their passion to make things right and maintain a level of excellence in their workmanship. Many thanks for all your patience, effort, and most importantly for correcting the issue. Appreciate it!

It's bad enough that I have logged the calls and keep a record, more on that later. I finally got the latest caller to give me more info and I was able to get the website and contact info to call the company directly. I spoke with Eddy and asked him to remove me from their call list. He hung up on me, so I called right back and he said he would remove me, and when I asked why he just hung up he said "we get a lot of these calls a day". Hey eddy, maybe just apologize and say you will take care of it. You're already violating the TCPA and because of Eddy, the way he decided to handle things, and his cavalier attitude, I will be pursuing legal action. Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The law lets you recover $500 to $1,500 per illegal call or text. To take action, confirm your number has been on the National Do Not Call Registry for at least 31 days, save call logs and recordings as proof, and file a claim in small claims court or hire a consumer law attorney. File an official report with the Federal Trade Commission or submit a ticket through the FCC Consumer Complaint Center.

If you are looking…read morefor someone to do a solid job and you don't care so much about the project management, then they were great. If you like to stick to a schedule, scheduling with the company and trying to get in touch with them was awful. They would say that they would show up on Sunday at noon, and then never show up and never text to cancel. They would commit to showing up at 9-11am and then text me confused when I wasn't home to let them in at 3pm. I would text and call Sammy or whichever contractor I worked with and they wouldn't respond for days. The job was finished over a month ago and I am still trying to get a receipt, summary of work, and mold test results. They also left the demolition trash in my garage and told me they'd come back to throw it away (they never came back and I had to throw it away). Again, they do great work! But I personally wouldn't schedule with them again because of how frustrating communication and scheduling can be. I encourage them to clean up the logistical side of the house. Hire a scheduler and a dispatcher, send confirmation texts before the scheduling window, and send a text in advance if you can't make it on time or at all. Having the skills to remodel and repair is half of what someone is hiring when selecting a contractor. Being on time, organized, and reliable is the other half.

We hired West Coast Builders to remodel our bathrooms, kitchen, paint, and rip out all our carpet and install luxury vinyl flooring. They also did some smaller tasks such as installing barn doors etc. These guys hands down have a phenomenal team. We loved working with them and appreciated how they respected our living space and property while it was undergoing construction. They not only work quickly, but they are efficient and meticulous at what they do. The crew does not cut corners and takes pride in doing the job. We have a huge extended family and every time they come over for dinners we are constantly receiving compliments from our family and friends on not only how beautiful everything looks, but how fast everything got done. I cannot say enough how much we truly appreciate the hard work and dedication. It is not easy balancing and managing so many major moving pieces daily, while also dealing with clients' requests, and questions and managing their expectations. Ever since construction was completed, I wake up every day in awe that this is our house. West Coast not only updated our house but also helped create a beautiful home for our family. We now look forward to the upcoming holiday season and having family over to celebrate. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We had some bumps during the project about materials, but we were able to work it out. The guys from the company did good work. The reason for the low rating is a month after the project was finished, one of the tiles around the fireplace cracked and the transition from tile to wood floor is starting to come up. I tried to text Mo and Archie and no response. The second text was rejected because I was blocked. A week later the numbers were not working. I reached out to one of the workers and he must have told Mo that I was trying to reach him for some warranty work. Mo called me and I asked about the phone numbers. He told me they changed phone carriers and had to change their numbers. REALLY? You change your business number? Mo told me they were working in my neighborhood and would send someone by to fix the tile and floor. After two weeks I texted Mo again and no response. It's been months and nothing has been fixed. I'm going to look into legal action for West Coast Builders not fulfilling warranty work.

Communicating with Chrales and the team (Chris, Marvin, and Oscar) was seamless. No beating around the bush and no overselling. Completely remodeled two full bathrooms and a powder room, gutted and replaced everything (new…read morefloors, tiles, vanity, toilet, etc). Both full baths had small tubs, so we changed one to a standing shower and put a larger tub in the other one. Met with seven contractors, choosing Modern Concepts/Charles was an easy decision. His price was fair, around middle of the pack, and he was punctual, approachable, and attentive - he was really listening to our requests instead of that fake, pretend listen. On top of all the moving parts in our main remodel, we also asked him to do random fixes and touch ups throughout the house like patch holes here and there, replace a light fixture part, change some GFCI outlets. No matter how big or small, Charles remembered and did every single one of them. Best of all, his quoted price remained the same from the day we met to the day it finished (alright, it did go up by $250 because we replaced the water supply angle stops, and asked him to drive out of the city to pick up two ridiculously heavy bathroom vanities). In a profession were it is a very real possibility that quoted prices may substantially increase as the job unfolds, I am very thankful for Modern Concepts' honesty and integrity for keeping their word from Day 1. Throughout the remodel process, Charles did a great job keeping me in the loop. I would stop by every 2 or 3 days to check on the progress, and every question or concern that was brought up, Charles was quick to address them. Whenever I was on site, any requests or questions I had for his team, they were always nice and willing to address them as well. His team is a good reflection and extension of their leader. Besides price, my other main concern was the practicalities of the remodel. My place has 3 floors with very narrow and tight angle stairs. Everything had to be stored in the garage which is on the first floor, so carrying it all up and down every single day was going to be labor intensive, to say the least. In the initial walkthrough with one of the other contractors we met, they literally complained the entire time about how difficult this remodel would be. Charles never had that attitude; his response to any and all challenges was simple, "no problem". It will forever be a mystery to me how he and his team carried the duo vanity with an attached counter top into the master bathroom. Once the job was near completion, we requested some grout to be touched up. Charles agreed without hesitation. Upon inspecting the results during our final walkthrough, I noticed some more areas that could use minor work. Again, Charles had his "no problem" demeanor. I was present the day his staff came to do the final touch ups and every spot I brought up to his attention, he fixed it with a great attitude. We couldn't be happier with the end result. The only problem now is that everything is so nice that we just want to look at it and not use it. The experiences I cherish most are those were you walk away with meaningful connections. In Modern Concepts, I truly feel that we've found a contractor for life and there is no question in my mind who we would call and recommend for all future projects.

They added a backdoor and turned our 2 single door garage into 1 big garage door. Patched and painted. They did it all. The entire process from our first meeting to finishing the job was awesome and just a joy. Luis always made us feel comfortable and communicated with us every step of the way.
