Honest and reliable mechanic in the Hyattsville / Riverdale Park area. The owner is very friendly…read moreand takes good care of my vehicles. I'm really selective where I bring my cars because I've had some bad experiences with mechanics trying to overcharge for unnecessary repairs. The owner of P&T can handle any job, big or small. I've had a tune ups, oil changes and a brake job done so far. I never felt overcharged for a job well done. I even left my car for a few days so they can do some repairs while I was out of town. They kept me looped in on the process and didn't try to overcharge or hustle me. Everything was ready to rock when I got back! I usually call in advance to secure an appointment but you can also drop in for service. 5 stars for P&T!

D and D Tire was the only tire service center that had same day appointment with 0 wait time and had the exact tires I needed. As an Asian woman who doesn't know much about cars, I'm always scared of getting ripped off (had a few bad experiences at Toyota dealerships where ppl tried to charge me $1000 for oil change...) but the staff at D and D tire are so nice. They didn't charge me for disposing my ripped tire and even helped my friend (who drove me in to pick up my car) fill up her air for free.

Happy day, happy car!…read more I had a muffler work done on my car from a different shop and was misinformed about the affects it would have on my car. Did some research, read about Kevin the manager and the shop and decided to take a 30 min drive to go see him. Got there at 8:10AM and was told Kevin wasn't around yet. So I waited about 20 minutes for him instead of talking to someone else. And I'm glad I did! Let me start by saying I'm really picky and super ocd. I do not trust mechanic shops bc there's a lot of shady ones out there. I like to watch the work being done and watch the process. Because I want to make sure they're doing what they say they will do. Kevin is professional, honest, knowledgeable, and most importantly he was kind. That type of personality just plays such a huge role in managing a business and retaining loyal customers. He gave me some options, fair pricing, and a fair return policy if I didn't like the work. I never felt pressured into anything and was able to do things the way I wanted to. He supervised the work being done and jumped in to help when he was needed. I watched as he did it with other mechanics during this time too. This place is HUGE. They have a lot of mufflers and exhaust options and Kevin will definitely work with you. Alfredo who was working with him was nice too. Kevin provided exemplary service and my car turned out how I wanted it to be! They offer a myriad of services from exhaust to repairs to tinting and I am planning to come back to see Kevin for some more work when I am ready. I would suggest for everyone to give this shop a try, talk to Kevin- he's honestly the man to go to!!!!

1 Star -- Proceed With Extreme Caution…read more I normally do not leave negative reviews, but after my experience with Danny's Auto Service, I feel obligated to share what happened so others can make informed decisions before trusting this shop with their vehicle. I brought my 1999 Infiniti QX4 to Danny's Auto Service because I was experiencing a significant steering issue. After discussing the problem in detail, I was charged approximately $2,700.00 for repairs and left believing the issues had been properly addressed. Unfortunately, within a relatively short period of time, I began noticing similar steering problems again. Because I was not driving long distances regularly, I did not immediately realize how serious the issue was, but over the last few months the steering problem became impossible to ignore. I recently had the vehicle inspected by another mechanic whose work I trust, and what I learned was extremely disturbing. According to this mechanic, material appearing to be pieces of an old automotive belt had been placed where proper bushings should have been installed, apparently as a substitute instead of replacing the worn bushings correctly. In addition to that, I also learned that the driver-side CV boot, which I understood was supposed to have been repaired as part of the work I paid for, had apparently never been repaired at all. So to summarize: I paid nearly $2,700.00 for repairs. The original steering issue returned. A second mechanic found what appears to be an improper substitute used in place of legitimate suspension components. A repair I believed had been completed apparently was never completed. To support what I am stating here, I have attached photos showing the condition of the work that was discovered during the follow-up inspection. What makes this even more frustrating is that I had previously brought the vehicle back because the steering issue had not been fully resolved, yet none of this was disclosed to me. When customers bring their vehicle in for service, they are placing trust in that business not only with their money, but with their safety. Based on what I have now learned, I am left seriously questioning both the quality of the repairs performed and the integrity of the work done on my vehicle. I strongly encourage anyone considering this business to request documentation for every repair performed and seek a second opinion if something does not feel right. After this experience, I would never return.......ever!
