The guy behind the counter was cocky while giving me the incorrect price. I asked for him to show me the price (print it out) and he said "that's the price because I said so". One of the ladies behind the counter looked it up and saw that he was incorrect and printed out the correct amount for me. It was one of the fastest bouts of karma I'd ever seen. They charged me Bremerton city tax . I live in Unincorporated Bremerton like hundreds of others here in Camp Union area. We have the name Bremerton in our address for postal reasons but we do not reside or vote in City of Bremerton. I tried to explain this to them to no avail. I think there is a class action lawsuit here for all those charged Bemerton tax that do not live in Bremerton. read more

The woman at the back table is awful. I swear she enjoys finding any little thing to send people away. This is the second time I've been here in a few months and she was equally as useless both times. The first time I was selling my car that had mine and my husbands name on the title. We both signed it and I (alone) met with the buyer there to get it transferred to them. She wouldn't do it since I didn't have my husband with me even though he had signed the title and was willing to talk on the phone if we needed anything. They helped him when he went back later without me though. Sexist. Second, now that that car is gone, I bought it's replacement this weekend from some friends in Oregon. She wouldn't accept an Oregon bill of sale since it didn't have the price on it. I offered to call my friend to have her confirm the price I paid her for it and the old woman told me to send it to her via fax and try again or to meet up. My friend lives in Oregon. This woman will just send you away so she doesn't have to do her job even if the paperwork is correct. Very frustrating, if she can't work she can retire. That's not the customers fault. read more

This is the second time that I have been here, attempting to register my vehicle, after moving to Washington, and I'm still leaving without anything in hand. The first time, I was told I needed an electronic title, no problem, got it from the bank. Second time, I brought in the email to be told i needed to leave and print it out...HAD I BEEN TOLD THIS THE FIRST TIME I WOULD HAVE DONE IT AT HOME, SAVING MYSELF TIME, MONEY, AND THE FRUSTRATION OF HAVING TO GO BACK A THIRD TIME. Quick, polite, professional, and knowledgeable! We had our out of state vehicle registered here super fast. We had a bad experience at another locations with reps trying to make us pay nearly $3000 in taxes in a vehicle we already own free and clear - and have for over a year. I called and spoke to a rep on the phone who was incredibly nice and suggested we come in. Everyone in the office was really nice and super knowledgeable. The car was registered quickly and we were told what to expect next year for renewal. Great experience with great staff. They made this really easy and very quick. Great team. read more

Wow. I was surprised at the poor service others have gotten at this location. Granted, most of the comments I read were in the COVID period, and things all over were crazy then - IF places were even open. However, in all my years of doing our licensing business there (since moving from West Bremerton to East Bremerton in 1980, only 3 miles from this location), I've always been more than pleased with the experiences. There were a few times when maybe four people were ahead of me, but usually I was at least second in line, and sometimes the only person there. And not just renewing a license (the two of us had five cars at one time) - added the State Parks donation, sometimes changed from a previous owner's name, stuff like that. The staff have always been cooperative, helpful, and considerate, and have certainly helped out when I had questions. ... Can't understand it. Weird. read more

Avoid this place like the plague! Let's start with, I've been coming here for the better part of 20 years. If you need to renew your tags, no problem. If you have anything else, they go out of their way to make it impossible to get anything accomplished. While attempting to settle my parents estate after their deaths last year I have had the need to try a obtain a license and registration for one of their vehicles. I've been there 6 times now and each time they've added some "new requirement" of documents they need. Literally making stuff up as they go. The staff is rude, unhelpful, unfriendly and un-empathetic. Not that I condone it, but I believe I understand why the windows to the business are broken out. I would sooner drive an hour to Seattle than ever step foot through their door again. Negative stars if possible. read more

This is the absolute scariest place I've been during COVID. In a small room, 2 of the five employees were not wearing masks (one completely removed their mask to talk on the phone) and a third employee wore a shield that only covered their chin and half of their mouth. read more

Some rude people!! I understand we have rules for the COVID to wait outside, but if you're guarding the door for people to come in and out you probably shouldn't be talking on the phone and yelling at people to stand back or wait in line does not make the situation any better. Don't understand why the guy with the long hair,older male had to have that demeanor. Is it hard to just simply say in a calm voice "can you wait outside?" . You can be assertive without having to be RUDE!!!One of the ladies that helped me was a complete grump... yeah you do your job, but does sass need to be added to it??? read more

I recently purchased an older truck (1967) for $4000 and went into Silverdale Auto Licensing to transfer the title and register it. I had the signed title, bill of sale, and my checkbook ensuring you expedite the process. The lady helping me was trying to find the value of the truck, because the sale price no longer matters. Since it is an older truck she was unable to find it on kbb or nada. At one point her and another staff were googling my vehicle and seeing what it was listed for (nationwide, and for all conditions). After being unable to figure out how to print the pages they were viewing, they told me I had three options: 1. I could go back to the person I bought it from and have him fill out a buyer-seller agreement (I purchased it on the other side of Washington and am unable to go back within the 15 days I have to accomplish the title transfer) 2. I could go purchase a buyer-sellers guide with my own money because they don't have one at their office. They would then take the median price from the guide, regardless of the condition of my vehicle, and use that for tax purposes 3. I could take the vehicle to get it appraised, again out of pocket The overall impression I got from the office is that they were looking for reasons to turn people away rather than assist. The two people ahead of me were both also sent away to retrieve more documents for very simple requests, which I should've have seen as a red flag. read more
