We stayed here for our anniversary. I called the day before check in to ask if they had early check-in and and was told that while there may be a charge, they did have early check-in. I also asked if we weren't able to do early check-in, would we be able to use the hot tub and pool and were told we could. We arrived around 11:30a and while check-in was at 4p, they gave us early check-in with no charge. Since it was our anniversary, they added a $25 resort credit to our room. Our room was nice with a king-sized bed and a small patio. Bed was a tad high and as a vertically challenged person, I had to hop up to the bed. We hung out in the room for a bit and then went down to the pool. There's a small store on the way to the pool where we picked up snacks; we had brought our own drinks. When we got to the pool, we discovered they had poolside food and drinks so we had one drink each. There were a group of women who were celebrating two of their 30th birthdays and they were very respectful and not obnoxious at all. After a while, we went back to our room and got ready for dinner. We went to the Matchplay Kitchen & Bar. I had risotto w/asparagus, peas, and pork belly and my husband had steak with fries. We also had a drink each. The food, while pricey, was good and our server, Fiona, was very friendly and attentive. We decided to get dessert at the Market & Bakery. I was so full after that I was a tad uncomfortable. We both slept fine that night and the bed was comfortable. The only mild complaint was the in room fridge hummed sort of loud but I used sleep sounds on my phone so that helped. Check out was easy as we just had to text them and let them know we were leaving. We would stay there again. read more

Do not book here! I never ever give bad reviews but this one was so bad I had to. The room was like something on a Motel 6. The courtyard is horrific. The pictures online displayed a beautiful hotel with beautiful rooms. What we found was a condo rental experience. Please see attached photos. I literally paid $700 a night for this room. See attached photo My husband and I decided to stay on premises for dinner because we were tired and away from our kids and decided to go to the restaurant at the main house. The service at the restaurant was absolutely horrible! The Bartender was rude and the service was super slow. It took us 2 1/half hours to get a few drinks in an appetizer. However, that being said the burger that I had the crabcake that my husband and I shared, and his flank steak were absolutely delicious. Really enjoyed our stay at the Silverado resort. Relatively large grounds with golf, gym, and restaurants. I became very obsessed with the soyfrito egg breakfast burrito. Rooms were decent, clean and lots of storage. Only downside was when you ordered a cart, they would take extremely long and depending on the location of your room, you can't really see out the window if they're outside or not. read more

We were visiting the Sonoma & Napa valley area & stayed at the Silverado resort. The resort is located in Napa, CA. My husband had been there many years ago & really liked it. They offer private apartments available in one or two floor structure. We chose the one floor room easier access, no stairs. The staff were very helpful. The resort is beautiful. I would have given them 5 stars if not for the way they treated us. As we were flying home, we received an email accusing us of breaking their mirror. They informed us that they were charging us $350. So we responded to their email stating the facts as to why we were not the culprit. We left the room in pristine condition. We travel often & this was a shock to us. In the end, we never heard back from them. Not even acknowledging our response nor an apology. I don't think I'll be returning. Came here for Blue Note Jazz festival and it was so nice. Very large spacious grounds. They had multiple stages throughout the property however it was extremely hot that year and there was no real shade or tents up to protect us from all the heat. The staff was great, very nice and friendly and we had an overall enjoyable time. We plan to come back and stay at the resort for a mini staycation. Also, there easter brunch is fabulous! read more

We had a very pleasant stay here! Was here as a guest for my sister's conference that was hosted on the grounds. Upon driving in, there's a grand front yard with main house that makes for a dreamy estate entrance. It's a large property with various markets, restaurants, and bars to explore. Centrally located in Napa where driving to other destinations was only around 10-20 minutes. Upon arrival to our room, there was a bottle of wine which was a great welcome gift, very fitting for Napa! The room was large which included 1 bedroom, 1 kitchen area, and a living room with circular dining table. We were also able to request a cot which was useful with the kids. The room is very bedroom centric where the bathroom and the large private patio is only accessible through the bedroom. Some updating would be useful with living room furniture and the cots. I unfortunately did not take advantage of all the amenities such as the golf course or spa because I was on babysitting duties, but we did utilize the pool (there's 2) every day which was clean and towels ready everyday. The weather was on the colder side so the hottub was nice! One of the pool entrance doors was not opening with a key card so a little bit of an annoyance to have to walk to the other side to get in. We did spend a lot of time by the front yard and the market deli which has good breakfast/lunch options and woodfired pizza for dinner! read more

Once I got to my room, I was very happy with how clean, spacious, and modern the room looked. During the conference, the meeting rooms were comfortable with great acoustics. For the most part, it was a lovely stay. We own a restaurant in San Diego, so we are very familiar with food service standards and guest hospitality. We had dinner at Match Play on my birthday, August 9th. Manny was our server, and he provided great service! However, my husband ordered the burger and couldn't eat it--something tasted off. Manny was kind enough to remove it from our bill. The entire day, my husband and I shared all of our food; he had nothing different from me except for his dinner. Around 10:00 PM that evening, he developed severe food poisoning symptoms that lasted until about 4:00 AM. I called the front desk on Monday morning to explain the situation. The receptionist was apologetic, and I mentioned that I wanted to ensure the kitchen was notified. Given that we were staying for three nights, we expected a follow-up call from management or guest services to check on him, but no one ever reached out. As business owners ourselves, this is not how we run our operations, and frankly, we expected more care and attention from such a prestigious resort. All in all our stay was very nice, but you all missed a big opportunity! 2nd email One other detail I forgot to mention: About a week before our stay, I called the pro shop to see if I could prepay for the round of golf my husband and his friend were playing on Tuesday. When my husband and Roger arrived at the course, the gentleman behind the desk insisted there were no notes on file, despite my husband asking him several times to double-check. The staff is responsive to requests, but I was annoyed when my room was cleaned out BEFORE I checked out. I went for a morning walk and came back at 9:30 to a maid who had already discarded a food gift I intended to keep. I found this surprising, but the resort made no effort to "make it right." In my experience, four star resorts like Fairmont comp guests when they have a personal issue, even a minor one. A simple replacement or refund for the discarded items ($20 value) would have left me feeling cared for. The food here was good, and the pool was nice, but not above 3.5 star quality. read more

Their customer service is the worst I've experienced. I called multiple times to sign up for an exercise class, but nobody picked up. When I showed up at the reception, they sent me to the spa to register, but there was no one there either. Eventually someone showed up, but they were quite rude and simply told me to go to the class, without any instructions or explanation of how the signup process works. In the end, I just walked into a class. Everyone there said they were dissatisfied with the service because everything feels disorganized. Staff keep routing people around, but no one actually helps solve the problem. At least the class itself was nice. The instructor was very patient, even though the staff didn't help much with the sign-up process or provide extra gear. Both the hotel and fitness receptionists had an attitude. Went to an event on a long weekend in Napa at Silverado Resort. The resort is so quiet and peaceful. Love watching the sunrise on tranquil morning walks where it seemed like I had the property all to myself. Fun to meet one of the presenters and talk to him as we walked to The Mansion. Our room was huge. So much space for one couple. The one bedroom apartment had a full kitchen, dining table, and a large living room and bedroom separated by a sliding door. The balcony overlooking the golf course was the entire length of the condo unit. Nice to have eco friendly aluminum water bottles replenished on a daily basis. Took the complimentary bottle of wine home to share with friends. The reserved parking spot was great. The food was good overall. Breakfast was similar each morning. Would recommend adding a few more healthy options. This is California after all. Lunches and dinners had good choices, too. They were nice to make an alternative dish for us minus the shellfish. Make sure to list what is included on the buffet either completely or not at all. (Chicken wonton soup that has pork wontons should be listed as chicken soup with pork wontons.) They did run out of desserts due to people at the conference piling their plates, but probably did not need that anyway. Loved dinner and wine tasting under the oaks in The Grove. Would be scared to look at the open bar tab for the long weekend. Surprise that with all of the liquor flowing that only one bartender seemed to know how to make mocktails. (Thank you Yelp for all of those virtual classes during the beginning of 2020.) Location is a short drive to other spots in Napa Valley. Check out the Gordon Huether Art Studio down the road. My husband and i arrived to the resort on 7/4 to celebrate our anniversary. We noticed our bed was broken on arrival but because I was tired From The eventful day we had I didn't want to switch rooms so we didn't say nothing until later that night even after speaking with the front desk during check out, no one has reached out to us or even try to offer compensation for having a bed broke to that capacity. I have stayed at many resorts all over in different states and countries. I've never experienced a broken bed. The communication is poor. The management is poor. No one has taken initiative to communicate or even resolve the issue. read more

** Parents Beware - Serious Safety Concerns With Baby Accommodations** Silverado has usually been our go-to when visiting family nearby, but this was our first trip with our 7-month-old. I called the reservations line instead of booking online so I could ask a few questions about traveling with a baby. I specifically asked if they provided cribs and was told, "Yes, we provide cribs, no problem." We even upgraded to a larger room so I could have a sink and fridge for pumping, so this was not a cheap stay. At check-in we were told a crib should already be in the room and to let us know if it wasn't. A bellman couldn't get our door open, so we stood outside with our baby for about 10 minutes waiting for security. When we finally got in, there was no crib. One was brought about 15 minutes later. **Crib issues:** The mattress sat almost on the floor and was so low that only my husband could easily place our baby in it. It was also a mini crib, which I wish they had mentioned when I called since I only brought a full-size sheet. The biggest issue was that the paint on the crib was chipping. It looked extremely old and heavily used, and chipped paint is dangerous. I didn't notice these issues until after dinner when the baby was ready for bed. Since she was already asleep, we assessed the risk and assumed she wouldn't touch the sides, but I barely slept. Middle of the night I ended up picking her up and holding her until she woke up. The next day I called and asked for another option. They said they only had pack and plays. My baby has never slept in one, but they brought it anyway. **Pack and play issues:** It was tiny, old, stained, and would not lock into place, which was another safety issue. I called again and was told that was all they had and that the head of housekeeping would call me. I never received a call. My husband and I ended up finding our own solution for the remaining two nights. At checkout I told the manager because the crib's condition felt unsafe. He apologized but offered no compensation or concession and said housekeeping would call me to better understand what happened. That was two days ago and I still have not heard from anyone. Parents beware. This resort has always seemed family friendly with pools, summer concerts, and kids golf lessons, but it is definitely not baby friendly. Unfortunately it is no longer our go to when visiting family. read more

I was a bit hesitant to stay at Silverado, because it had a bit of a reputation for being dated and run down. However, I had heard that they were doing renovations over the last few years, and from what I could see, it looked lovely! We stayed here for three nights mid week and had a great time. Unfortunately, we didn't get one of the updated rooms, but in all honesty, everything was so clean and comfortable, that I didn't mind. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained, and we enjoyed just walking around in the sun with a nice cocktail and then heading over to the pool or a restaurant. One note I will put is that it is very family friendly, which in my opinion is a good thing, but there were a lot of young children monopolizing the pool, so be prepared for that. In addition, the price for the room was very reasonable for Napa, and it was a short Uber ride to downtown Napa, Yountville, and many good wineries. We will happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a more casual resort with reasonable prices and a family friendly atmosphere. read more

I recently stayed here as a fun relaxing getaway. I booked a standard King Room. The property itself is beautiful. Not too big that makes it unwalkable but big enough to not feel cramped or that it's overrun with people. They have plenty to do on property and a lot of sitting areas both in and outside that make it so you can park yourself anywhere and be comfortable. Our favorite was the courtyard at the spa, so comfy and quiet! The staff were all friendly and provided exceptional service. Always willing to help with whatever they could. Our room was the only reason I took a star off. In all of my research, including the property website, there wasn't a great picture of the standard rooms (just the suites). The standard rooms are pretty small. With two people in the room it was pretty tight to be able to move around with our luggage in tow. There's a lot of positives to the room like nice patios, a mini fridge and they were very clean. I'd stay again but only if I get a suite, otherwise I'd probably try some other properties. read more

Silverado Resort: Disrespectful, Dismissive, and Operationally Incompetent This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we've had, not because of a single mistake, but because of a pattern of neglect, poor judgment, and complete lack of accountability. My wife decided to book a stay here for my birthday. We stayed for three days two nights. Before arrival, we clearly communicated religious requirements. As Muslims, we explicitly requested no alcohol in the room and no pork products. This was acknowledged. When we checked in, the room contained wine and a charcuterie plate made up of pork products. That alone shows either the request was ignored or not taken seriously. On top of that, there were four to five cigarette butts on the back door patio present and a faint smell of smoke in the room, which raises serious concerns about cleanliness and room turnover standards. We gave the resort time to make this right. We waited multiple days. Nothing meaningful was done. The situation escalated when we returned from breakfast and discovered that neither of our key cards would open the door. We attempted to call the front desk from our phones. No one answered. We left a voicemail. No one returned the call. The lobby is not close, and during active Northern California winter storms, we were left standing outside in the cold. We eventually had to flag down a housekeeper, who called security to unlock our door after a significant wait outside. This should never be the guest's responsibility to fix. When my wife finally reached someone at the front desk, the response was dismissive and defensive. She was talked over, not listened to, and offered a generic credit with no real acknowledgment of what had occurred. The proposed "solution" was that we should come back again in the future and let a manager book the reservation personally. That is not a resolution. Asking a guest to reinvest time, money, and trust after being disrespected is not accountability. This experience showed a lack of cultural awareness, poor guest support, and an alarming inability to handle basic service recovery. When something goes wrong at a luxury resort, the response matters more than the mistake. In this case, there was no empathy, no urgency, and no ownership. If you value being heard, having your requests respected, and knowing that staff will actually respond when something goes wrong, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere in Napa. There are too many quality options in the area to accept this level of disregard. read more

The property has golf course, and tennis courts. We saw families with kids on the property as well as guests with dogs (dog friendly). The rooms were clean and it was funny to run into housekeeping staff on their golf carts. Bed was on the firm side but comfortable. Front desk was located inside the mansion. We walked in with strong smell, I expressed my concern right away, according to the staff member who walked in with us is due to new carpet, but I attached the photo of the condition on the floor, there's no way this is new carpet, and walked into bedroom, accouter three spiders in shower, next to bed and another giant flying spider in living room as photo shows! The spiders were different colors, and I really do not know what kind, are they possible poison or not. The condition of the room is unacceptable to any stander! I am sure no parents will be happy to take chances with the spiders in the room or possibly take any bugs home with them. Great experience with our group during a winter visit to Napa. Rooms were fantastic -- more like a one-bedroom apartment than a hotel room, with plenty of space to work and relax, a wine fridge (it IS Napa...), comfortable beds, etc. The grounds were beautiful, despite some construction going on. Staff was friendly and helpful, and all the meeting services went smoothly. We do a lot of meetings, and generally things here were better than most. Food was also very good, and well above average at multiple meals, both at our group breakfasts and lunches and in the restaurant. Bottom line -- I'd definitely recommend Silverado for a visit or meeting. It's not a new facility (if you're hung up on that), but they do everything a quality hotel is supposed to do, and do it well. And if you eat in the dining room -- get the carrot cake for dessert. This resort is really huge! It's nice but definitely spread out like a huge compound. We found out most of the units are privately owned they are little condos and people can rent them straight through the property or they can use air b and b which is good to know for future reference if we ever decide to stay here. Honestly for what they offer and the price I doubt it's really worth it. Rooms are super small unless you book a suite. But overall the rooms are really nice and updated. They need central a/c especially to be in Napa you would think so but nope wall units. We were a little disappointed and next time we will more then likely stay in a hotel in downtown on first street. It sucked too that they were setting up for the jazz festival so we had to park a lot further than where our room was. Only the suites get a parking spot in the stalls. So that was very inconvenient and none of the staff told us. So there was a-lot of construction sounds and loud banging which made it hard to just sleep in and relax. I did like that they have a shuttle serve via golf cart at your convenience when you want to get around the resort grounds but honestly that's the best part of this place. Hotel food was meh and pricey. Staff was very friendly which was great but honestly for the price we will pass next time. read more

We had a very pleasant stay at Silverado Resort and Spa. It is an absolutely beautiful location. The clientele seems to be a bit older and really really into golf, which is not our usual crowd but it was a nice experience overall. From the moment we arrived, their staff was incredibly attentive and welcoming. We had a nice gentleman drive a golf buggy in front of us to our parking spot and he then took us and our luggage all the way to our room. The driving us around seemed a bit overkill at first, but we soon realized it was not given how huge this property is. We were given a small tour, an explanation of the amenities and were asked if we would want a log for the fireplace in the room (yes!) which was brought to us 15ish minutes later. I had emailed the concierge with a question before our stay and received a reply in a few hours. All this to say they have awesome customer service. Our room was a junior suite and very clean and orderly. The bed was comfortable and we got a good night's sleep in. We also tried out the pool and jacuzzi area. The heated pool was not heated enough for us (granted it was evening and April) so we immediately went into the jacuzzi which was just right. We were also lucky to try out their spa. Even though we did not have a reservation beforehand, my partner and I were able to book separate massage appointments at the same time (instead of a couple's). Service again was of the highest care. My masseuse was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Pretty sure I fell asleep at one point, that's how relaxing it was. Similar to the rooms, the spa amenities seem a tad outdated, but all was very clean. They had a shared space with a lap pool and jacuzzi. The individual spaces for men and women included a resting area (with coconut water, cucumber water and tea), restrooms, a locker room, showers, a steam room, a jacuzzi with sun/lounge chairs and a sauna. The quick drier thingies (to help dry your wet stuff) are in the restroom area and took me a while to find. The showers have soap, shampoo and conditioner available. The locker has a robe and slippers in it for you and you can easily close and open it with a code. The locker room also had a vanity with body lotion, cotton balls, hair products and a hair dryer. Towels were restocked very often as well as clean cups for the water. So why not 5 stars? - Needs updating. The rooms felt outdated for a resort, especially in terms of appliances and heating system. The heating blasted so insanely in the bathroom you almost wanted to shed off all your clothes to make it bearable to go to the bathroom. The spa also could use some innovation. - Real lack of vegetarian food offerings in the restaurant and room service offerings. The only option was the wood fired pizza but that one closed somewhat early for us as we had a later lunch that day. read more
