This location is amazing. Saddly in my time I've come across Indviduals who wernt professional, honest about their capabilities and did not have a good skill set. Today I came in, after calling to see if they had time for a walk in. The sir who answered the phone was super sweet and told me to come right down. The artist who worked on me today was Regina, she was very awesome. Asked a ton of questions, my dislikes vs likes for my tattoo . She helped me choose a final result based on area of tattoo, size, color and format. Explained everything very well and got to work. I absolutely love how it came out !!! I went here last year for my first tattoo for my 18th birthday and everyone was so welcoming. They whole crew here is hilarious, creative, and helpful. They all made me not feel nervous at all. It was beyond clean and kept up inside which I was paying attention to in all places I checked out. I had Mark do my tattoo because I had family who recommended him and man did he go more than an amazing job. All I did was tell him I wanted a bull head and gave him a picture of it and gave him the script and quote that I wanted and he did the rest of the creativity. A year later it still looks brand new and I continue to get compliments on it. I couldn't have asked for a better artist or better shop to be in during my first tattoo. read more

The girl who I was talking to about prices during casual conversation, claims I was "low-balling" her. While I was obviously joking with her about a birthday discount. She then tells me to read the sign about attitudes raising the prices. I told her we were good and I didn't mean any disrespect. She goes to the back with her coworker, who then proceeds to kick my friend and I out. (A person who wasn't a part of the conversation whatsoever.) I had high hopes for this place, but it's really unfortunate when the staff is rude and unprofessional over a small joke. Good luck to anyone who has to deal with these two. read more

This review is for Savanna! I really feel like she took the time to listen to what I wanted & needed. I haven't had the greatest experiences with other tattoo shops and I've never been back to the same person. Most of the artists I've encountered elsewhere have been rude in some way or made me feel rushed. I LOVE Savanna and I'll definitely be back. She did 4 small tattoos for me & I love each one. She's an incredible artist. The shop itself is conveniently located for me, and feels really clean. ..The only minor complaint I have is regarding the shop.. they need larger mirrors & MORE of them. I had to either walk to the back or look through a tiny handheld mirror (they all have the same kind) every time I wanted to check the placement, and it was kind of annoying. If they put large mirrors on both sides, the shop would look bigger & brighter! .. other than that, it's cozy & comfortable read more

I didn't have an appointment and just walked in one morning wanting a tattoo. James approached me and helped me plan my tattoo because I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. He sketched out a couple drawings and was chill and helpful. At the time I was a tattoo virgin and James was really understanding and explained what he was doing step by step. She is gentle on your skin (least painful tattoo i've gotten) and she was willing to replace and resize on my body numerous times. She really cares about her customers and want them to be happy. This is for BRYAN. I first contacted the shop after googling shops in the area, checked out they web page then Facebook and photos of the work down. I have a 20 year old all black tattoo that I was looking to cover and had been told it couldn't be done or at the very least it would look horrible. Silver Needle didn't think that was the case. I sent a pic via Facebook to which I got an immediate response from Tina that she would share with the artists and see what they could come up with. Well, I heard back just a few hours later that Bryan was up for the challenge. I stopped by the studio, found that he was available and we started with a consult. Looked at some ideas I brought with me then expanded upon then and he helped me to fine the perfect cover up that would 1)do the job 2)fit my personality and style and 3) would look fabulous as the work I chose was and is what he specializes in! This was my lucky day! So, the process started and at the end of the night the past and my not so pretty or feminine Raider Shield (still a fan just not a fan of the shitty work that was there for 20 yrs) was replaced by the most beautiful Japanese Chrysanthemum. If you're looking for a professional who knows what he's doing, is a master with color and does amazing work especially Japanese works then PLEASE GO SEE BRYAN!!! I'm not used to writing 5 star reviews...omg this is gonna be tough on me. I did 2 sessions with Reggie. She told me straight up how much it would cost and actually stuck to that price. I mean really...who does that without trying to jack up the price? Then she had the nerve to actually show up to the appointments on time and call to confirm and work around my schedule. Tattoo artists are supposed to be a gypsy bunch that you can't get a hold of after they do the first session! Now for the quality of the work. It's really getting irritating hearing people talk about how great the lines are and how awesome it looks. Then she sat there and to listened to me talk about my baby the whole time and actually carried on a conversation while working. Go see Jorel! So this was the first time coming to this particular shop, I usually go to Bay Area Inkspot down the street, but my favorite artist just happened to be here last night! Jorel has done all of my tattoos for the past 4 years and there's clearly a reason why!.... He's awesome, easy to talk to, and funny! Anyway, the atmosphere of this place was awesome! I walked in around 9:00pm and was greeted nicely by the pretty girl at the front desk. I got that chill island vibe right when I walked in (could be from the island music playing in the background). The place was well kept, clean, and everyone was very friendly and courteous. There was another artist there seemed pretty chill too asking about my tattoo and the meaning of it. CJ did my tattoo I have nothing but good things to say about him. He is very professional. I came in a few days before my apt. To show him what I wanted. He drew it up the next day and sent me a text message of his drawing to show me what he had. I thought that was cool. When getting the tattoo he was very detailed, he took the time to make sure everything was perfect. Very very thorough with every part of the tattoo, it's exactly what I wanted. I went into Silver Needle yesterday to make an appointment to finish this 10 yeast old half sleeve that was beat to shit. The owner Mark said if his appointment did't show, he'd do it at 12:30...Lucky for me the appointment no showed (thank you Drew) and Mark got to work. I told him to just have fun, do what he wanted, and he absolutely killed it. Going back in a couple weeks to finish....the place has a Great vibe, and I laughed my ass off all day. I had three clients come in and all 3 wanted to get a small simple outline, I called ahead of time for them to make a quick appointment and the girl who answered said everything was cool I let her know it was just three simple outlines, when we all walked in we were approached by an old white guy with missing teeth and kept saying he couldn't do the tattoo and they had to be bigger, when we said we'd get them bigger he kept saying no bigger and he wouldn't do it unless it was like a foot long outline??? My three clients are heavily tattooed and we all have a few small tattoos as well that are really detailed and this dude was telling us he couldn't do a simple outline... he was very unprofessional and clearly didn't want to make money that night. Stupid decision on his part not knowing my clients are TikTok stars.... Would never go back or recommend this shop... run away fast find another shop. read more

Was on vacation and wanted to get a tattoo last thursday, this place was recommended to me by a few locals. Upon arrival there was an artist out front smoking marijuana, the interior looked like the inside of a detention center, dirty and looked highly unsanitary. There was an artist (the bald guy with a cowboy hat, didn't catch his name) shouting and yelling at someone in the back and sounded like a fight was about to break out. It seemed like a very amateur and unprofessional environment where the artists do not clean their stations and drink and smoke on the job. Amazing service! Everyone here is very nice. Pricing is fair. I had Roper do my tattoo. He spent 4 hours on my tattoo, and still only charged me for 3 hours of work since that was what he had previously quoted me on. Amazing work. He worked fast and has a light hand for sure. Appreciate the original drawing he did. I brought a picture in and then had a bunch of other ideas. He made it work and flow. He def. understands what people want out of their tattoos and has a great manner of keeping the apt. positive and fun. The whole office is very upbeat and nice. A great experience overall. Thank you! Six months ago I had this idea for a tattoo. I wanted a green sea turtle ( honu ) that was unique. I decided I would add a ying-yang to his back, so I found some images of turtles and a ying-yang that included fire and water. Clearly my love for the Hawaiian Archipelago influenced my plans. Five months ago I walked into Silver needle Studios in Concord and looked through some artists portfolios and Immediately knew Mark S. was the artist for my honu. Turns out he is in very high demand and I made an appointment on a Tuesday two and a half months away. At the time I was self employed but right before my appointment I went to work for a general full time so I had to reschedule a month and a half later which was the first Saturday available.
