Mark from Silver Neele Studio in Concord gave me the best gift. My dad passed away recently, and I wanted it as a tattoo of one of his drawings mixed with his ashes. I had initially reached out to Jacky, and she told me that she could not do tattoos with ashes BUT she offered to help find someone who could (check out her work; it is gorgeous). She connected me with Mark, the owner he squeezed me into his packed schedule cause he could tell my heart needed to heal. Stew helped lighten the mood with a sense of humor my dad would have loved. They offered to play my dad's favorite Music (Kind of Blue by Miles Davis) and tattoed my dad's art and a piece of him on me so I could always carry his love with me. Both Tristan (Stew touched up 2 of his tattoos) walked out of there with a beautiful new memory, and I know that my dad was sitting there with us, not only shaking his head that we were getting tattoed but also loving it at the same time. I know in my heart that he would have loved Mark and Stew. Thank you both for giving me this memory. read more

Came here for a tattoo and was met with disappointment. While my tattoo came out good, the vibes in the shop were not. Every artist in there is unprofessional, slurs and racist remarks are casually thrown around, and not to mention the men in there are very misogynistic and talk bad about their female customers behind their backs. Go somewhere else to get your tattoos, you can find nicer and more professional artists for the same price. read more

I went in for a tattoo appointment, and during my first visit, everything was very clear -- pricing, communication, and expectations were all straightforward I was told I would be given a fair deal with fair pricing . However, my second visit was a completely different experience. As a mixed woman, I felt extremely uncomfortable with the casual and repeated use of the N-word in the shop. The way it was used -- playfully and loosely -- made the environment feel highly unprofessional. That word should never be used in a professional setting, and it was especially unsettling because it was being used casually by the Mexican artists in the shop. It's not about being overly sensitive; it's about basic respect and professionalism. I worked with Bryan, who I initially thought was nice, but I ended up feeling taken advantage of. He spoke in a very manipulative, mansplaining tone, as if I didn't know how tattoo pricing works -- even though I've had multiple tattoos done before and have never been treated that way. On top of that, the environment was chaotic: the music was so loud you could literally feel the floor shaking from the bass, conversations among staff were often inappropriate, and there were constant cigarette breaks that delayed the process and made it hard to focus. I honestly think that's part of why it took so long for my design to even be made. While my tattoo itself turned out nice, the overall experience was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and not something I'd ever want to repeat. I would never recommend this shop to anyone -- professionalism, respect, and boundaries should be a standard in any tattoo environment, and unfortunately, this place missed the mark completely.DONT GO HERE!! read more

Jacky is amazing! @jacky_moreno_ I truly love her work and am beyond satisfied! This is the first actual professional piece that I've gotten done and you can really tell the difference. Her skill level is high for such a young artist. The quality of her work is just great, I am so happy. They often have flash specials for certain holidays and Friday the 13th. I have received tattoos from a couple different artists during these events, but my most recent artist @ceaztattoos was also amazing. His line work was great and his flash book has lots of nice pieces. I would definitely go back to him for some bigger work. read more

It's been a minute since I've been to this shop. Stopped in a couple weeks ago on a chance of being able to get a small hand tattoo I wanted. I was greeted by Bryan, really nice dude. They didn't have an artist readily available, but he made a call and Renzo was willing to come in about an hour to do it for me. I really appreciated that cuz I know he didn't have to. No one made me feel like my smaller tattoo wasn't worth the effort. My tattoo was done by Renzo, hella cool dude. Both Bryan and Renzo had great and friendly attitudes, not the typical shit don't stink attitudes of tattoo artists. The vibe was good, energy was good. Probably safe to say the friendliest shop I've ever been to many shops and I have a lot of tattoos. We chopped it up and I had a great experience. Came in today for my touch up with Renzo, he was on time, just as friendly, did an excellent job. He was easy to get ahold of, cares about customers and the tattoos he does, really chill. That's a win win in my book. They impressed me all the way around by being professional and treating me kindly. I'm for sure gonna be coming back for more work! Go see Renzo or Bryan! read more

I am working on a fairly complex, detailed sleeve. Ceaz is doing an incredible job. He really only does Black/ gray/ white work but has incorporated some color into my design and I absolutely LOVE what we are co-creating. He's open to my vision and direction for my piece- but I've actually chosen to step back to allow some artistic license because he is THAT good and everything he's suggesting is turning out beautiful. My arm is only 1/3 completed and I am continuously fielding compliments on it because the piece is already a showstopper. Big 5 stars from me. To the shop itself- it's always clean. The artists are all super cool. They swing through to watch and support each other's work. Very happy here! read more

First off when you go into a shop you have to understand that people are going to respond to how you present yourself. You're trusting others to put something permanent on your skin so don't be an ass. I love that this shop is open until 10. Most shops around where I live close between 5 pm and 8 pm. For someone who works full-time that doesn't necessarily allow much time to get work done. I went in with an idea an Bryan elaborated on it and didn't even know what the meaning was behind the image. It was perfect and i had received so many compliments. Well i got another tattoo bug and went back to Silver Needle in hopes that Bryan was available again. I was so excited to see that he was. Again I showed him what I had in mind and he went right to work. He helped me with connecting the two pieces together and it came out better than I envisioned. Thank you so much Bryan!! I can't wait to continue to build on this piece!! read more

I've been getting tattoos for the over 25yrs and never once did I have to wait 3months like many studios in the area said was their next appointment. Thankfully I called Silver Needle and they said "you can come in now." My first impressions were the studio was very clean, front desk worker and artists were friendly, professional and accommodating which is VERY important when you're walking into a new tattoo studio. Jacky was my artist and despite her being a fairly new artist she had a very light, gentle, clean and thorough touch. Throughout my tattoo she checked in to see how I was doing (100%! Zero pain thanks to her gentleness) and engaged in light casual talk with me. After my tattoo was done, I realized I didn't have enough cash or my ATM card and couldn't figure out the Zella app. Thankfully she was understanding and allowed me to run home so I could get more cash. I'd definitely recommend her for your first or next tattoo! read more

I've gotten a couple awesome tattoos from Ceazar! He did Medusa on my hand and is currently working on a Nightmare Before Christmas Jack Skellington piece! If you're looking for an artist that takes your idea and makes it 10x better than he's the guy! His black and white work is amazing. I've been to a few other shops in the area but this one tops them all in regards to just the overall environment to get tattooed in. Definitely showing off my tattoos from Ceazar and recommending everyone I know. read more

I am so disappointed in the simple tattoo that pedro did. I requested Chinese letters on my fingers the 1st time. The ink didn't take.the 2nd time He dug so deep into my skin that my fingers were sore and red for a very long time once the soreness, scabbing and redness went away they ink went away with it. My tatoos looks like a third grader did them. now I have to go find a tattoo place that can fix them. I have had several tatoos before and never had an issue read more

I went there to get a second tattoo from this shop. I can't remember who did my first tattoo but my second tattoo was done by Jeremy and he did an awesome job. I brought in a rough design of what I wanted and he drew a tattoo that was 3 times better than what I first wanted. If I ever want to get any more tattoos I am definitely going back to the shop. While I was there, there was another tattoo artist who name I didn't catch, but he was working with a guy on an arm tattoo and I found out through talking to him while waiting for my tattoo that he spent hours perfecting this tattoo and then when he was done, he was making sure as I left that the tattoo was immaculately placed on this guy's arm. He must have re-did the trace of the tattoo on the guy's arm at least four or five times before he was satisfied that the tattoo layout was perfect. Today I got my very first tattoo. Since my chosen design was small, simple, and used only black ink, the guy at the front told me right off the bat that their minimum charge was $60 and that my design wasn't necessarily $60 worth of tattoo, and asked if that was ok with me. I really appreciated how upfront he was about it, and I decided that I'd rather pay a little extra to get tattooed at such an honest and professional (and highly reviewed!) place. The gal at the front also really helped me out by telling me about her experience with an ankle tattoo. Both of these people also were great about putting me at ease and, when it came time to apply the stencil, were absolutely dedicated to making sure everything was EXACTLY how I wanted it. Bryan was my tattoo artist and his work was quick, clean, and crisp. He talked me through the whole thing and kept my mind off the pain by chatting about the meaning behind my tattoo, his experience in the business, and the origins of tattooing in general. I was incredibly impressed both with his work and with him. Afterward all three people helped me to make sure I knew exactly how to take care of my new tat, and, to my surprise and pleasure, did NOT try to pressure me into buying any kind of expensive aftercare stuff. Overall, I had a GREAT experience. Great people, great ink-work, and I ALWAYS felt like everyone in the shop cared about giving me the absolute best experience possible. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Savanna is an extremely talented artist. I found her portfolio on Instagram, and in a matter of seconds I knew she was the artist for me. I came in for a consultation, and she was very patient and understanding of how I wanted my tattoo designed. We got the appointment booked for a couple weeks out. She sent me a draft of the design and it was everything and more of what I wanted. The day of the appointment I was a bit apprehensive and nervous, but she has a very calming aura. She made sure it was placed just right, and that I was comfortable the entire time she was working on me. My tattoo came out so beautifully- I can't even describe how stunning it makes me feel! I will never go to another artist now that I have found Savanna! Also- the shop is very clean, and it was nice that there was parking right out front. They had music playing, and it's always good having some background noise when you're getting inked. The other staff was friendly and it was kind of fun having other artists coming over and telling us that my piece looked good! :) read more

I just got a tattoo done here earlier today and I think the overall experience was awesome, but there was one issue that made me take a star off of this review. Someone answered the phone when I called in to ask if I needed an appointment or not. They said that one of their artists was free and if I dropped in I'd get started quickly, but when I got there all of the tattoo artists were busy and I had to wait a little over 4 hours - not something I was okay with. I was pretty pissed, but to be honest it wasn't that bad of a wait: the waiting area they have is super comfy and clean, there's a pretty good filipino food/snack store right next door. I had brought a sketch book and art supplies, so I was content, but if I hadn't it would've been a lot more of a hassle (I'm incredibly impatient). However, when I got to the tattoo artist (Shaugn) he was kind, calm and took my art right away. Within ten minutes I was seated in a very clean chair and resting my arm on a saran wrapped arm rest, comfortable and ready if not a bit nervous. I'm 19 and this is my third tattoo but it was my first professional one (tip: don't let exes with tattoo guns tatt you without any license, it ends up pretty badly), and I didn't really know what to expect. It was probably the best painful situation I've ever been in (lol that sounds a little weird) and it took about 30-40 minutes total, but Shaugn was careful and the process barely hurt. More like a mild annoyance, really. We chatted and some of the other workers sang loudly (and not too badly) to songs on the radio, joking with each other, seemed like a big family and it put me at ease. The tattoo came out perfect! Just the way I had imagined it in my mind when I decided on the design, and I'm really happy with the way it looks. In total it cost $120, which was what I was expecting - custom work, 6 different colors, 30-40 minutes, so the price seemed fair to me. So, to sum it up: Wait time? Sucks, but it might've just been the time and day (2pm on a Monday) Atmosphere? Comfy, relaxed Cleanliness? Perfect. Price? A little pricy, but c'mon, their tattoos. People? Friendly, kind. Tattoo? Best I've had (though it is my first professional time) I'm actually kind of relieved, since this was a first time and I kind of took a gamble, but it paid off in the end. The art is line for line and color for color what I wanted, something that I think can be hard to do with such a small tattoo. Do I recommend? YES! Go here! You won't regret it, just make sure you have time to wait. I don't think I'll be going anywhere else for my tattoos, that's how good my impression was of the place. read more

I would give this a half star if I could. I was booked with Johnny "Vampz" for a big piece. First session he assured me that we will finish within two sessions max, did not happen. All good. Third session he canceled the same morning, just an hour before our appointment. Couldn't book me within the same week, had to wait three other weeks. Today I walk in into my appointment, he was not ready still texting back and forth with someone he was trying to sell his car to. We start our session 20 min lates, start working on making some progress and within 40 minutes he just stood up, took his phone and went outside. Gave him 3 minutes, I hear the guy flirting on the phone (not an emergency) I walk up to him and ask him to finish my tattoo. He looks at me say he is on the phone, comes back inside and tells me that he didn't appreciate me telling him what to do. I explained that we were on the clock, and he was wasting time I was paying for. He tells me that he will not finish up my tattoo because "he does not like being told what to do". This is ridiculous, super unprofessional and just cringe. Wish this would have been handled in a more appropriate way. Please do not waste your time and money by going to him!!! read more
