Fortunately we found Flanagan's. My wife and I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I got the boxty and she got the schnitzel (I have no idea why she got a German dish at an Irish establishment) and they were both very good. The portions were enough that we ate until we were full and still had a bit to take home for leftovers. The Guinness was also good, as were the Irish Coffee and the Kahlua/Baileys I had. The staff was friendly and helpful, manager was great, and we were fortunate enough to meet the owner, who was also very friendly and interesting. If we do come back to this area, will definitely drop in again.

My assumption is the guy was at the end of his shift and didn't want to deal but still, good customer service would have him at least offer us water and Inform us his shift is over but someone new will come. This is why we felt we were being discriminated. Anyway, we finally got someone to our table and took our orders as we already knew what we want 15 minutes ahead of time. All I will say is that the beers are fantastic and the food was decent. My advice is that if you have a toddler, do not come because you will be discriminated by some of the staff members who do not want to cater families with kids.
