It's a nice place, but one table in the restaurant is reserved for their office and it shows--a bit odd to see in a restaurant. Another thing that drives me crazy is, I cannot get them to serve my egg foo young warm, the middle is ALWAYS COLD! This has literally happened 4 times in a row and frankly I'm annoyed by it! Christmas Eve, went in at opening 11am ordered and paid up front with a 30%tip for 5pm pickup. Arrived at 5 waited for 1.5hrs was told couldn't say how long it would be but would call. Waited another hour without a call, went back waited another 30 minutes. Felt awful for kid at front desk, help was working hard, but their order system must be completely broken. Watched as walk ins and Uber Eats delivery people picked up and left in front of an order placed 8hrs earlier. Once received the food was good, but really no excuse for the level of disorganization delivering a customer's meal 3hrs after promised isn't acceptable no matter what the exception. You should stop taking orders as soon as you recognize you can't meet existing orders. We came in 40 minutes before closing, and were told that they're doing takeout only, but the manager was nice enough to let us dine in. Service was quick. The food was all right, the portions were good for the price. And the cleaning this of the restaurant is a definite one star. When getting take home could smell onions in food which was wrong and told server. Food was "fixed" sadly we failed to check it before going home. We had not been there in several months, but on my way home I called a to go order. When I-got there the food was ready. When I served it at home all I can say is Wow it was very very good! We have been fans for years and then not. We are back and loving it once again. My husband is a picky eater but they seem to make the best BBQ PORK AND HOT-mustard. He enjoys their red sauce as well. Welp, I really liked the egg rolls. I forgot the name of the dish I ordered, it was a sweet beef dish. It sounded good, but it turned out to not be my thing at all. I will try it some more and try a few different things and then make a decision if I like it or not. The service was not bad at all. And the ambiance is a lot less than amazing. First off, let me say this, Silver Dragon has ALWAYS been my favorite Chinese place in town. Always. I always recommend them to anyone visiting or new in town. But my experiences have been getting worse and worse and now today has changed that. An actual cockroach, climbing in the booth. Now the rule with roaches, if you see one, then there's an infestation. Period. Staff was informed, and an honest answer would have earned some respect and given me hope for improvement, but the response was, "it came in from outside"..... Not a good look. When a paying customer shows you an actual cockroach in your establishment that is actively serving food to several customers, there should be some honesty and a little humility. To just outright blow off someone's concern over an actual cockroach on their seats is just disrespectful, to say the least. I will definitely be giving it a couple years before I go back, if I ever go back. And I'll damn sure stop recommending this to anyone who asks, I won't badmouth or spread gossip, but I won't keep it a secret either. Way to let us all down guys. read more

Picked up an order to go. I normally really enjoy food from Silver Dragon. This meal was not up par with past experiences. Fried shrimp and the mar far chicken was greasy and had a very oily taste and texture. The bottom of the box those items were in was dripping with oil as well (not normal). The chicken cashew chow mein.and pork fried rice were good. Service was still great on the phone for order and while picking up food and paying. Maybe frier oil was off? Not up too temp? I don't know but hope it gets addressed as I do enjoy food from here! read more

For the most part I can't say I am a fan of Oregons version of Chinese food. It's just really different than what I am used to in California. I always eat Chinese when I visit though because it's my besties favorite and she does not get it often because her husband isn't a huge fan. Today I was pleasantly surprised with the choices at this spot. It is still not exactly what I am used to but it came a lot closer that any other we had tried. Hot and sour soup was actually spicy!! Chow mien looked and tasted as I would expect. We were honestly offered an sauce for dipping that wasn't pink sauce!! "Pink sauce is not a California thing" The food tasted fresh and crispy. Had several people recommend Silver Dragon so I swung by to check it out. Staff was great, quick, and super friendly. It appears like they do a ton of takeout and they moved really quickly. My beef and broccoli had super fresh veggies and the beef was fairly tender. My only wish was that it was a little more flavorful. I will definitely give them another shot. read more

Fresh and Generous Cuisine Love this place! Servings are generous. My husband and I often share a combination dinner for the same price as one entree. The staff is very accommodating. I ask for sweet and sour chicken instead of sweet and sour pork. No extra charge and no hassle! Just asked for special packaging as we had an hour and a half car trip ahead and didn't want to arrive with soggy noodles and mushy sweet and sour. She walked my order back to the kitchen! Couldn't ask for any better customer service. In our experience, the staff has always been cheerful and efficient. Yes, the fried rice does not contain the usual shriveled peas and dry carrots, but I personally like that. Yes, the sweet and sour does not contain huge chunks of bell peppers and pineapple but instead gives me twice as much protein-chicken or pork. And I like that. Yes, the chow mein is piled with crisp, fresh vegetables with very few crispy noodles but I prefer the delicious vegetables to dry noodles. We eat at the Silver Dragon whenever we are in Medford, not because they have a wall of "Best of..." awards for the best Chinese restaurant in Medford year after year from the local newspaper but because we like their food. I do have one complaint. The women's bathroom is awful!! I only will use it in case of emergency . The floor looks like it hasn't been mopped since it was installed! The white grout is now black. The corners are decorated with food crumbs! The chalking around the sink looks like a five-year-old installed the sink. It is tiny and cramped. Definitely needs a facelift!! How can deli Chinese food and Panda Express be better than this place now? We used to come here all the time and loved it but alas the mighty has fallen. First off the price is way out of control as it's very low quality food for $9+. The "meat" is so breaded that it's mostly bread than meat. If you're going to raise the prices this high you increase quality not decrease it! Another problem was that barely anything was seasoned at all. I don't remember the the last time I ever had chow mein that was completely flavorless. The kids love orange chicken and they couldn't even eat any of it. It was like unseasoned "meat" with Orange peel rubbed on it. No sweetness or flavor at all. The worst part is two of us got sick. I wrote a tiny review earlier, because i felt so bad at the time that i wanted To give them a low review. Now that i feel a little bit better i wanted to write the full review.
