The carrot cake we had for dessert was the best carrot cake I've ever had. One thing that really surprised me was the portions. Usually at an upscale casual restaurant like this, the portions tend to be on the smaller side. Not here. You had to roll us out! Richard, our waiter, was amazing, and the rest of the staff was so nice and attentive. I've been saying for years that the food scene around the lake is a little disappointing. You can get pretty burnt out on all the restaurants serving similar foods that start to taste the same. 1932 Reserve is such a refreshing change. It's a great place for a special occasion, a date night, or just when you want a really delicious meal at a nice restaurant and you're tired of the typical restaurants around the lake. The one negative would be the parking, but it seems like they have a golf cart running people back and forth, which definitely helps. We are from Southern California so we "know" Mexican food. Never seen a burrito covered in queso blanco before, but at Sergio's that's how they come and it is ABSOLUTELY HEAVEN!
