I hope this helps anybody looking for a place, especially in San Diego! I would love to share my experience to warn others as professional as possible.
Also, I 100% agree with everyone else's review that is saying this new build does look nice and modern on the outside but... Upon move in, I was told the finishing touches would be done within a month of living here. But, it is still undergoing construction. There are switches for a ceiling fan/ ceiling light, but there are no ceiling fans/ light until now and I have been living here since July of 2023. I pay $3400 for a 2b2bath and can't use the full potential this apartment has and been paying full price for an unfinished apartment.
Second problem, sorry to call them out but.. mice control is a problem for me. I don't even want to attach the photo because it's just nasty . There were a couple mouse traps that were put and ALL traps had caught a mouse, that's a total of 4 mice in a MONTH. I had brought this to their attention MULTIPLE times since November 2023 (attached email with date).. and their resolve was to offer an upstairs unit (oh yeah.. no follow up.. shocker) It is now January 2024 and I JUST heard from them because I had to email them how upset I was. If I never emailed, would they have done anything? Probably not at this point... how could it take 3 months for a response AND still nothing is resolved. In addition, I would be responsible to move ALL my things all over again and resign a new lease if I moved to an upstairs unit. I replied: "Hello,
Since I haven't heard any updates until now, I decided to not move forward since I have 6 more months left on my lease and do not want to resign for another lease or go through the hassle in moving belongings.
Thanks,
Daisy
The response I got was "of course, thank you"....... Someone please tell me how is that convenient in any way? No thanks, I rather save my time and energy since my lease is done in July (can't wait). Which sucks because one thing I liked was the sliding door on the balcony, but I cant even open it up because I don't want any mice to sneak in.
Lastly, I reserved the clubhouse well over a whole MONTH ago. A WHOLE MONTH! From 6-10 pm because it allows you to book at that time. Had I not come in to discuss the reservation would I NOT know that you can't reserve the clubhouse after the leasing office is closed. How are you going to tell me a DAY BEFORE that you are unable to reserve the clubhouse, but when you choose the time to reserve those times are available to book the clubhouse. There was no call, email, text, NOTHING AGAIN regarding this restriction. I already ordered food, sent invitations to family and friends, for me needing to cancel the day before.. are you kidding me?? It doesn't even show on the booking page of any restrictions, just the protocol on how to submit payment.
All in all, it really takes a lot for me to be upset and when people are paying an absurd amount to be treated in this way, then I want no part in supporting or living in these apartments. I will not be renewing my lease and matter of fact I've never been so excited to get the hell out of this place. Quite honestly, it sucks that it had to be this way because these apartments have so much potential but the communication, costumer service is not there at all. So here I am, stuck with mice roommates and upset .....However, the fridge with the filtered water is a plus, the keyless entry, and the maintenance workers are all super nice and tentative, which is why I put 2 stars instead. read more
