A special Thankyou to Fernando in the leasing office. He guided me step by step with my application all the way to my approval and move. He explained everything to us and was always in full contact, no gray areas and didn't leave anything out. He did an amazing job helping us gather all of our proper documentation to be approved. We love that there are both of my kids schools in walking distance and there's shopping centers less than 5 min away. I love my apartment, it's so big and a beautiful kitchen. Amenities are espectacular and the cleaning crew are always working, it's always well maintained, the pool, grills, gym , hallways and the green areas very clean. I moved here happy. Then right after 6:45pm I heard a thump hit my bedroom window then heard kids running and laughing. I couldn't catch them however, I did obtain footage of a group of Hispanic teens walking by prior to the incident. Upon asking around, I was told there's a group of teens who run around egging places and playing ding dong ditch. I did locate the security guard and he said he's the only one and that he didn't see anything. My concern is how they were able to freely walk through a complex and throw eggs and run out through other open areas. Also 1 guard being responsible for this big community is beyond me. I am somewhat traumatized being, I have never had anything like this happen. I just hope there's security personnel that can effectively monitor the complex so that these type of individuals can keep out. Other than that it's a really nice place to live. read more

I like living here although I make one suggestion: PLEASE consider redoing the DOG RUN AREA. This was originally built for pet owners like myself however it HARDLY gets use because the fake turf is really smelly and has been collecting pee and poo ever since it was built. I know it gets "hosed off" by the staff workers here but I think we all know (yes, residential services I'm talking to you) that after 7 years of it being built it needs serious retouching. REAL GRASS and remove the show dog toys, please. Nobody uses them!! read more

After going back and forth with a Senior AR/AP at The Club at Encalve,. We were able to agree on returning some more of my deposit, I didn't get 100% of it back, but it was a fair amount and he was very professional. At the end of the day, please the number one reason I moved into Enclave was to be near my daughter and they allow dogs of ANY size and weight to live there. Not many places in San Diego allow Big Dogs: it's a great place to live if you have dogs for sure! Unfortunately, each dog you have living there will increase the rent, keep that in mind. So I decided to increase the star rating from 1 star to 3 stars. If they wouldn't charge for painting the apartment after moving out and giving me the option to either clean the apartment myself to avoid fees or pay them to clean it, I would had given them 4 stars maybe all 5 stars. I have been living on this property for almost four years now and seeing the Chula Vista SWAT team, police drones and helicopters flying over with an officer yelling on the megaphone down at the residents " to be on a lookout and describing the suspect" with their night sun spot lights shining through our windows, and seeing the Chula Vista police cruisers on the property are a daily occurrence that has become a new norm on Enclave Otay Ranch Luxury apartments. Although there is nothing luxurious about living here anymore. I have had people fist fighting in our hall outside my apartment with bodies being flung against my front door in the middle of the night, there are people selling drugs on the sidewalk within 100 feet from the leasing office. I can't even walk my dog on the property without being harassed by the catcalling, people smoking weed on the stairwell with children around, cars being broken into and property such as bicycles have been stolen and locks cut off of them, parcels have been stolen from doorsteps. So much and so frequent that the USPS postmaster had to come to address the problem. Ironic, it was also the same day the Chula Vista PD and detectives were here questioning a person who was just moving in who had a Uhaul with police drones flying above. Not to mention the dumpster diver fishing out peoples trash and making a mess by ripping open all the trash bags.People continuously throw their large furnitures such as beds, mattresses and sofas in the community trash even though there are clear posted signs that state that it is prohibited. The pool area is a nightmare. There are beer bottles and trash left behind by pool users. The music is blasting from the pool area late at night past the time of city noise ordinance. When the security guards come to enforce the loud noise ordinance, the pool guests are heard verbally abusing the security guards and threatening to harm them when they are only trying to do their jobs. The disrespectful pool goers do not care about the neighbors that live around the pool area. Also the security aren't even checking residents stickers on the car windshields and ticket residents anyway when they should ticket the real violators. Then there are people who aren't residents that park in the resident parking forcing residents to park their cars in places that are prohibited such as fire lanes, handicap spaces and even in front of other resident's garages. So many times I have found cars parked in front of my garage blocking the entrance that I can't even park in there. I have spoken to numerous residents that have been living on the property for many years as well and have come to an agreement that as beautiful as the property is, it has gotten worse. The leasing office sent out emails to all the residents stating that "they care about our safety" and "make sure that we take all our valuables out of our cars and lock the doors". If they cared so much for our safety, why did they not agree to what security offered them with allowing a couple security guards working only on the property BUT was denied by corporate. God forbid we take away from their budget and sacrifice resident's safety. We no longer feel safe living here anymore. I feel like I am living in Zombie Apocalypse. The Chula Vista PD spends more time on the property than they do on the outside patrolling. read more

We are moving out of here with good reason. Management is terrible and does not get back to you. They will however get back to you if THEY need something. They do not honor military orders as far as breaking the lease. They say they do but when the time comes, expect unnecessary charges. We also found many spots in our apartment with mice droppings as we are moving out. These apartments are brand spanking new... and they come with mice friends. I lived at this location for about a year. The property is beautiful, the amenities are great and before COVID the events enclave would hold were fun. The Enclave team is really nice and genuine. They show you they care from the moment you meet to tour the place up until you move out. The team is quick when it comes to getting back to you and making you feel like you're a priority. Maintenance request are dealt with in a timely manner and for the most part are good at communication. The only downfall is noisy neighbors depending on where on the property you live. The team can only do so much and they gave me the option to transfer to another unit. My experience here as far as calling Enclave home was pretty good besides the noise. We moved due to "COVID" but I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking to call a new place home in Chula Vista. They're pet friendly, the neighbors are nice and the property is well maintained. read more

While the property and its management has had its ups and downs since I have lived here, it is safe to say that the management team they have now is nothing less than 5 star. Jariska and Katie are both absolute assets to not only this property but the Baldwin team as well. ***ADDITIONAL REVIEW FROM MY ORIGINAL ONE 7 MONTHS AGO*** -Before a change in management, I was getting harassed via phone calls and e-mails to take down my post. Fast forward to today, management does not care one bit about their tenants. I've called management to complain about my upstairs neighbors multiple times (even sent videos of them hammering away during quiet hours), I was then redirected to call security, and so I did for a week straight. Security informed me that management gets a report about complaints, but I never heard from management. The noise still continues every single day and night. -My dog got severely sick from playing at their dog park at Enclave II. When we went back to check on it, it turns out that the dog park had old dog feces stuck on the turf. -Emails will be sent out stating smoking of any kind can be grounds for a lease being terminated; however, weed, cigars, and cigarettes are still being smoked around multiple buildings in the complex. -The exit gate is always broken, and so many people drive in through the exit only gate, which can result in a bad accident. An email does not stop people or even guests from driving in the wrong way. -There are still no speed limit signs, and so people speed throughout the complex. -Cars are being egged in the parking lot. -Other people are still not dog friendly around here. There was literally a person who looked at my dog while we were on a walk, and took out his pepper spray. -Within the 7 months, a BIG party with a bunch of drunk teenagers was held in the "taped off jacuzzi due to covid." It was not addressed at all due to security only being on duty from a certain amount of time -Speaking of the jacuzzi and pool area, which is intended for tenants, random men can be found jumping over the gate to use the amenities. -Dumpster divers everywhere! Trash and furniture can be seen floating around the complex, which results in a bunch of raccoons and rodents making their welcome to the property. -We're also still paying so much for amenities (gym and jacuzzi) that we can't use due to the pandemic. read more

I've lived here for 15 months and let me just start off with saying the apartments are absolutely beautiful... the leasing agents however are terribly unorganized, rude, and will not solve your problems but will be quick to give you notices on your ESA animals and other small discrepancies. I was talked to very rudely (damn near yelling and interrupting)about a situation that I had no involvement in because they didn't like my answer about being unaware of what's going on. I asked them to solve small maintenance Issues that should've been handled since I pay for the services and they would take weeks to get bavk to me and than still not solve it. I got a particular call once about my dog being loud I asked to explain what happened.. the answer was " he walks loud" this call was at 4pm and the noise ordnance is 10pm per lease. She gave me a notice for THAT and that was just one of the many they would call in quick. Neighbors are snobby and look through windows. Got told to put my dog down because a dog attacked him in THEIR DOG PARK but because he was a larger size it was his fault even tho his ear was ripped and the other owner claimed responsibility. Also when you mention owners walking BULLDOGS off leash they don't care to look into it. And if you're in the side buildings.. good luck with parking! They barely got any or they don't chevk cars that aren't suppose to be there. A weird white van also drives around the residence and their "24 hour security" isn't even there and when they are they are racist and rude. One good thing about this place is that the maintenance staff and Matthew in office are incredible and kind people but whoever the higher ups should be replaced and keep their paperwork in order. Got multiple calls about the same issue hours apart because they "forget" to update each other but it happened more than once. Overall, property and amentities 10/10, Mathew and Maintenance(I think Jose or Jesus) 10/10.. leasing agents 2/5. Laura was amazing but they lost her to a different complex so that speaks for itself. read more

Very happyI'm a tenant at Enclave for over a year and I love this community. It's a beautiful complex very well kept up. Nobody bothers you , it feels as if you live on a resort. If I ever need anything fixed in my apt I submit a ticket online and immediately maintenance comes knocking at my door. The staff is so kind and friendly. Carlos recently did maintenance in my apt and He was amazing! Such a hard worker and very professional man. He deserves a five star rating. I have lived here for almost a year now and not only was my move-in experience amazing-working with the office staff but throughout my stay the office has always been top notch in their communication, attention to detail and customer care. Recently due to a personal issue, I needed to switch to a smaller apartment unit from my current three bedroom. I got to work with Kati this time and she was more than amazing! Not only did she correspond promptly to every email and question, she went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of and my needs were met in a timely manner. I actually live here I've almost have been living here for a year. I definitely recommend this building to everyone. It is very comfortable and a friendly environment. The staff is very understanding and love to help everyone of their tenants. They also set up gatherings with other companies such as papa John's and taco trucks for the residents to enjoy. My initial move started off on a rocky road, police officers pulled into the complex probably about 2 minutes after I pulled in with my U-Haul saying they've received a call that I had someone locked in the U-Haul for over 45 minutes! (Crazy I know) Fast forward to meeting the Management Staff about the situational, I was treated in a courtesy and respectful manner. Furthermore having issues related to the house as far as ceiling fan, blinds, or replacing toilet handle. Kati, Alexis, and Thomas are the best, and Enclave at Otay Ranch was amazing! My family and I moved from Germany to San Diego and while waiting for our home to finish, we stayed at Enclave. Kati worked with us weeks before we arrived when we were faced with obstacles, she took care of it. The maintenance staff responded to trouble tickets swiftly and the upkeep of the property was great. We had to extend at Enclave twice due to our closing date being pushed back, the front desk staff (Kati, Alexis, and Thomas) worked with us and allowed us to stay. I can't thank the entire team enough because they looked out for me and my family. OH! And they were the only Apartment complex in the area that allowed for a month-to-month lease. This place is horrible management doesn't know the law here. Katie is a idiot who thinks she is smarter then most. Further more they try to bully u into a renewal on your lease or make u pay much more month to month this place is a nightmare! This is a money pit for the owners who don't care or want to know about issues they have within there own office. I have gone to legal aid and have seen how many laws these so called good managers have broken. Great place to live for lawsuits I can tell u that much. Are rent from 3.300 a month to a 4,100.00 a month this owner has told there office that the owner has lost a lot of money due to coivd laws and people leaving during covid so whoever is left is paying double in apartment rental when renewal comes up this place is a joke! This is the worst apartment complex!! DO NOT MOVE HERE I REPEAT DO NOT! I have been here 4 months I moved in with my two roommates we are all in our early 20s and so far within 4months of living here, our garbage disposal has broken and had to be replaced, our toilet does not flush half the time and there is black stuff in the water of the bathroom which I looked up was magnesium! And there's a lot of it so far my toilet has not been fixed and the maintenance man said the magnesium "shouldn't hurt us" apparently which is not true because there is a lot of it. Our stove has also broken as well so there was a gas leak in our apartment and every single time we address these things it takes minimum 3 days for a maintenance man to come out and "try to fix it". Our most recent issue was that out ceiling started leaking in the middle of the night and it started to turn yellow they told us our a/c was leaking it got all into our carpet and now there's mold and we had to vacate our apartment for minimum 10 days and when we asked if it's safe there the leasing office presume to tell me and my roommates two different responses one being it's safe for us to stay in one half of the house and the other response being that everyone should vacate the apartment and did not want to accommodate us at all! Wanted to make us pay for a hotel and a deductible for insurance when this was completely out of our hands they wanted to take advantage of the fact that we are all young girls it wasn't till we spoke up and stood up for ourselves did they want to help to house us this has been the absolute worse experience ever and our lease is still another 8months on our lease!! Worst apartment and staff ever I get you have other people that live here but don't take advantage of us just because we're younger and yes I did post this on Google as well I will be telling everyone I know not to live here read more
