DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPLEX. At a glance the apartments look very maintained and when I took a tour, they leasing agent couldn't stress enough about the new upgraded units and improvements they made. Well if u consider replacing old appliances with matching ones an upgrade!!! The whole entire leasing team are hyping this place way too much. I guess that since they have an egotistical guy that thinks he's god since he knows people,(Michael) they can just pick and choose how they wanna handle things. Cuz it seems like the few times I tried to go to the office for any reason, (Michael) was always trying to get involved one way or another. And not in they way of him trying to help, the creepy way like he was always inching his way closer to me. Made me feel uncomfortable. So I tried coming in when he wasn't around. But then that problem is that you'll end up talking to this other agent (sapphire) who by just looking at her you can tell she's clue less and has no right to be running that leasing office all alone. Maybe it's cuz she got that job through (Michael) who is married to (Sapphire) cousin!! And that's when I understood why she always asked him to help out even though I expressed to her how he made me feel. After that I left that one place as fast as I could. Plus you have an observed amount of inconsiderable neighbors. If you have kids, then is complex isn't for you. They allow tenants to dive like maniacs inside the complex when kids are walking out there. Then it never fails, 8 out of 10 cars that come or go through the side gates are blasting their music, throughout the entire night. Don't matter if its 12am, 1am, 2am, they don't care. Had more then my share of having to get up cuz they woke up the little ones. And I say the complex allows it cuz when you try to let them know about it, they reply with "this is appartment style living" don't wast ur time with putting complaints in, they will not do anything about the situation. We've lived here for a while now, and if we didn't have a pet we would not be living here. I think the worst part about this place is the staff. Aside from the maintenance who are very quick, the office staff is terrible. Anytime a complaint is made, they say they will do or something is being done about it, and the problems still occur. It's like they only say they'll do something about it to get us off their back. I have never felt like the office staff truly cares for the residents or listens to them. Parking is an absolute disaster. Residents are given stickers for parking here, but almost all the spots are taken up by visitors. Cars are supposed to be towed if they have no sticker, but they don't follow through with that. I'm not sure why they even bother with the permits if they don't follow through on their end. Cars are only allowed to be parked in an opened numbered spot for no longer than a certain amount of time but there are people who park their cars for days/weeks and even months and nothing is done about it. -Residents here are loud, rude, and dirty. -Ants and rats are a huuuge issue. I don't think I've ever walked the sidewalks and not seen millions of ants. There's been a few times where I've been walking my dog at night and a rat has literally ran across the sidewalk from the bushes. If we didn't have our dog, and this place being one of the only places that allow dogs larger than 25 lbs, we would NOT be staying here. It seems like the only way to get our complaints heard and taken care of is by contacting corporate which I plan to do since the office staff seems to care so little about anything here. read more

lived here for 3 years now. The apartments are very nice, mine a single bedroom unit with hardwood flooring on the 1st floor. Neighbors can be a bit loud but relatively a quiet community. Great amenities, i don't think I've seen the pool or gym go a day without being used. Walking distance to barber shops, restaurants, and a beautiful park. 5-10 minute drive from everything else you could need; movie theater, highway, post office, grocery store, etc. The apartment managers are always available during working hours. Gated community with staffed guard at night. The maintenance team here is what really shines though. One day, our oven had just stopped working. We put in an automated request and the next day a technician was out to look at it and 2 days later we had a brand new oven installed at no charge. Great apartments for those with children and pets. I really cannot stress the level of satisfaction i have with choosing this place as my home for the last 3 years. I hear horror stories from friends at different places and i have not encountered a single bad thing about this place. And the pricing is right on point. Might seem like a little much at first but you get what you pay for. When, compared to other surrounding apartment complexes it really is a great deal. read more

I would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND ALL MILITARY to these apartments. We are a military family that have lived here twice. Each time we have lived here we have found the staff to be extremely helpful. We did not move out owing any money to them. Not sure what these other reviews are talking about maybe they owed money that they need to pay. My understanding is that the company merged and didn't change names - they been very upfront about the changes taking place with the residents. I personally have spoken with the manager on several occasions and have found her in the office and available whenever I have needed to speak with her. The assistant manager is extremely knowledgable on military procedures and terminating your lease due to orders. Go see her she is very friendly and will give you ALL the INFO you need! I have ALWAYS found her available and ready to help you out in any way. As far as utility bills you pay your own to a separate company. They have no control over it. Pay your bills and you won't have any issues lol CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! We love it!!!!! read more

I've lived here for over two years and I was already happy with the quality of life and the quick maintenance response times. However, the reason I'm writing this review is because of the stellar customer service from the employees in the leasing office. My rent is set up through "auto pay" and my account was double charged this past month accidentally after a lease update change. This error caused 3 of my checks to bounce (the first 3 checks I've written in a long time), but Suzanne not only got my extra rent charge reimbursed...she also made sure that I was reimbursed for my "bank overdraft" charges. Most businesses would say, "Your bounced checks aren't our responsibility." I've dealt with the public for most of my adult life and people are quick to complain, but rarely give compliments where they're deserved and that's why I wanted to give the team at Pinnacle some well deserved recognition. I lived here for 14 months and it was a pleasant experience. Not many places in San Diego or surrounding areas accept large dogs and this was one of a seldom few I found. They even supplied waste bags for your dogs in the designated grass areas with a trash can. You can't beat that! I had a two bedroom apartment and the rooms were bigger than what I expected. Everything in fact was a great size (even the closets), especially for being an apartment. It definitely had a cozy feel to it. The maintenance workers came to fix any issues the same day as my report or next day. They had a playground in the center of the apartment buildings I was located in but even better, these apartments are located within a 5 minute walking distance of a park that has a playground, two walking paths, community building, picnic tables, a community pool, and a pond with lots of ducks. I enjoyed my time living here and would choose this place again if I had to. read more

I have lived here almost 3 years (the second time living in this complex) and I absolutely love the front office staff as well as maintenance , this is why I am writing this review... It happened on a Friday night and very cold I might add but my water heater went out , called the office and within 5 minutes Chuck showed up to have a look, he checked everything out saw it was having some issues and contacted his supervisor Faron who then came up , they reset the water heater only to find out it needed replacing (they did temporarily fix it so I can shower), but first thing the next morning the contractor was at my front door to replace it, not only were they both prompt at making sure it was done and timely but Chuck came back to check on me and make sure everything was good and asked if I needed anything else, such great customer service from both these guys and they did an excellent job!!!Thank You to all who made it right!!! read more

This is a shout out to Henry Llamos a maintenance guy at this apartment complex. Let me tell you he did a fantastic job! Me and my husband accidentally got locked out of our apartment, so we called a locksmith that was super trash and didn't know what he was doing and over charged us.(we couldnt get ahold of maintenance) The next day we called maintenance to let them know the locks on our door were broke. Henry came in and fixed my door in literally minutes and was super nice and helpful! I then told him about my dishwasher that was broke and was leaking 3wks ago that another maintenance guy shut off and never heard back since. Henry was right on top of replacing my dishwasher that same exact day, he apologized about what the other maintenance guy did and was just super nice. 10/10 customer service very helpful!!! This guy needs a raise! Lol read more

I just want to give a compliment and show my gratitude for the staff at Pinnacle at Otay Ranch, I've never been in an apartment where the management was so attentive and always there whenever you need them and always putting their residents first.. Specifically Miss Hannah she has made my lease renewal so simple and fast. I really want to send mine and my family's appreciation to Miss Hannah and all that she has helped with and her staff. In the past places I have lived at it always seemed like it took forever for someone to get back to you. Thank goodness I've never experienced that here at Pinnacle. But yes overall I just want to extent my gratitude towards the staff here where I live. Lastly I want to give a shout-out to Miss Sapphire if she is still working there she helped move us in and it was always a breeze read more

CROSSPOST - 2 entries on yelp I lived here for almost 2 years My home was robbed 3x and had my car vandalized 2x !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! everytime it was reported to management they did nothing and even lied to police to tell them that it didnt happen they want the complex to look good and the high rent to be something people want to pay "Security " doesnt do ANYTHING but question residents on their way in to the community I lived on the no pet side but it was FULL of pets supposedly no pits but they are all over the place LOW INCOME apartmetns are across the street while my rent was $1622 for a 1 bedroom, the people across the street could get a 4 bedroom for $1400 a month AND they would come use our facilities and damage property but management didnt care read more

These apartments are the most welcoming and they are just an amazing environment. They are very clean, and it's also a peaceful neighborhood. I found out about them because I was looking for an upgrade from the place I'm currently staying in. I was given a tour by the most genuine employee who's name is Edwin R...He was easy to communicate with, he was also very understanding and tried to accommodate to anything I asked, or requested. It also made me feel at ease that most attendants seemed to have a good relationship with him. Which is always a plus on everyones book. The neighborhood is peaceful, the apartments themselves are gorgeous, and most importantly the employees are top notch. Most definitely a would give a higher rating if possible 10/10! read more

Lived at this complex for 7 years and we had a wonderful experience. Love the community, the apartments are in a great location. The apartments themselves are very nice with very nice amenities. We did have a few issues with things breaking every now and then like expected over time but the maintenance team was very fast and responsive every time. I never had a problem with them doing a bad job and replaced appliances with new ones without hesitation whenever they broke down. Daniel Gutierrez and Juan Gaytan do a very good job and provide great customer service when needed. Sad we have to leave the complex, but would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to live with a great team running the community. read more

Sent in a maintenance order for my kitchen light and kitchen sink and got a prompt response from Pinnacle saying that the work order was opened. The following day, I received a call from one of the maintenance members and asked if they could enter the apartment in a few minutes to check out the orders that were opened. Within minutes Joshua, one of the maintenance members was at my door. Between changing the kitchen light bulb and diagnosing what was wrong with the sink, it was done in a reasonable amount time. Joshua also showed me what was wrong with the sink and what part needed to be replaced. Overall, it was a good experience. Maintenance team was quick and efficient. read more
