These tacos are so good. Plus they serve breakfast and they're a full-service coffee shop as well. They have a full range menu of Mexican food, but I seem to always get the tacos when I go there. I went there last week, it was mid afternoon after lunchtime, I was seated immediately, I had a Pepsi in the Street taco platter and the chips and queso. I was surprised they didn't have Mexican Coke. Every other Mexican restaurant in town does. Oh well. Attentive service, delicious food, reasonable prices. Free parking. Silly Serrano has put in a lot of work to create an eye catching venue for people to enjoy Mexican cuisine. There is a fun mural on the outside of the building and they have added a nice sized patio on the side of the building (which I believe is dog friendly). I always value outdoor dining options and when my dog can join me! The food has been great when I have dined in, got takeout, and when it was catered. I have enjoyed working with Silly Serrano when catering an event too. They were really nice to work with, flexible, and more affordable than some other vendors. I have enjoyed the food, but haven't loved their coffee. I appreciate the convenience of the drive thru when on the go, but I would say it it's not worth the stop if you're going solely for coffee. I feel there are better coffee options relatively close. I typically order a vanilla latte when I go places, but I just haven't enjoyed theirs (It may be the syrup they use that I am not a fan of, but don't know for sure). If you do decide to get coffee, they do allow use of reusable mugs, so it is always encouraged when you bring one to reduce single use products! It's also important to note that they are only open until 2pm and they are closed Sunday and Monday. read more

We stopped to grab a bite for lunch here. Overall, I thought the food was good for a fast casual type of a meal. The menu was a little confusing on the board because we could not tell what was on each taco. It would be helpful if they were to list what each item entailed. I ended up getting the shrimp tacos. They were good, but again, I didn't know that there was going to be cilantro on them. I would have definitely asked for it not to be on the tacos, but again, I didn't know what was on them. I used to live in CA and really missed the street tacos until I found this place. It's better then what I remember! The meat is always wonderfully moist, flavorful and doesn't have large chunks of fat that I find off putting. The pork/carnitas street taco is my favorite food in Eau Claire. read more

Great little Mexican restaurant! I had the fish tacos which were delicious, along with black beans and brown rice. Had a little margarita, also tasty and hit the spot. The restroom was clean and there was not only one hook on the door, but two!! In the Upper Midwest where you have big winter coats and many women also have purses or people have a backpacks, it's nice to have a place to hang those things. Anyplace with a public restroom should be ashamed if they don't have hooks in them. The service was quick and friendly. It's not fancy but perfect for a casual meal. My wife and I are new to Eau Claire, I think we found our Mexican restaurant. Food was fresh and flavorful and light. Normally the American spin on Mexican is grease, not so here. We will be back. I tried the 5 street tacos with different meets, simple presentation and very very good. My wife had the chipotle salad, it was amazing. They balance the chipotle and acids from the lime perfectly. Holy cow! This place is great. Authentic, delicious...try the ceviche. It's to die for! So fresh. Also, the tamales are so great on a cold day like today. I had a barbacoa tamale, and it was seasoned so well, The creamy masa and crema over the top was just perfect. The owners were so welcoming, and checked on us to make sure that we enjoyed our food. I've driven past Silly Serrano a few times since it had opened and was always looking for the right opportunity to give it a try. Being the Anti-Social Queen of Delivery that I am, I decided to give it a shot and order lunch from them yesterday. Street tacos are an absolute favorite of mine, and should be a staple in every Mexican Restaurant in my opinion. So OF COURSE I'm going to try out their street tacos! They have four different types: chicken, pork, barbacoa and steak, and you can add anything you want to them outside of the standard onions, cilantro and salsa (for a price, of course). I wanted to give just the plain meat, onion, cilantro and salsa tacos a try and see what Silly Serrano had going on. So I ordered one of each type of meat and waited anxiously for them to arrive. They came in an adorable, perfectly fitting delivery container, and were your regular street taco size. They smelled DELICIOUS. The salsa, in my opinion, is lacking flavor, but that was something I didn't even register after taking my first bite. All four tacos were PHENOMENAL and I was sad when I was done with them because I could have kept eating them, and eating them, and eating them. My favorite was the chicken street taco, which was surprising to me. The pork was a very close second, but that chicken one.....man..... I could probably just eat a bowl of that chicken. #NoShame I will definitely be looking forward to going back to Silly Serrano and visiting the interior, and you can bet your bottom dollar there will be street tacos in my future too! read more

Food was cold and lacking in flavor. Price was high for the size portion received. I also strongly dislike using field greens in Mexican cuisine. Stopped in on July 4th. No burger joints around were open. Did we get lucky! Great service. Very welcoming and shared ideas for menu items we'd like. I had the shrimp tacos. Best choice ever. Such good flavor with the shrimp a little spicy and cabbage slaw a little sweet. I said it might be worth the 1 1/2 hr drive again for sure. Very fresh. Tried this new place with friends. Burrito, enchiladas, tacos ordered. Tacos were very small and not filling, but of decent flavor.Burritos were of decent size but mine was brought out cold with occasional lukewarm areas from the kitchen. Enchilada was very spicy but at least warm. Service was decent for not having wait staff at the tables. Everyone at table agreed that every other Mexican food in town was better than here. I decided to give the Chorizo Burger a try today. Sad to say I was disappointed. The Chorizo patty was 1/2 the size of the bun and therefore my lunch consisted of 1/2 a Chorizo Burger and the 1/2 a bun sandwich. In theory this burger would be great and the burger 1/2 was delicious but the execution was very poor. It came with a side of chips and salsa. I decided to try the mild salsa not knowing their spice level. And again I was disappointed. There was absolutely no flavor at all. And in all honesty looked like the very bottom of an empty bowl. No chuncks of veggies to be seen, just tomato puree and it didn't even taste like tomato! I do have to confess I have had a burrito from there and it was good. A little dry, needs more sauce but flavor wise was good. I would go back for a burrito and I would becwilling to try a rice bowl or street taco. But I do not recommend the Chorizo Burger or the mild salsa. I have included pictures. As you can see lots of toppings and a big bun but no sign of the patty. :-( read more

We waited more than twenty minutes and Azul Tequila generally has our food out in fifteen or less. Please note that there are some positive comments too. The name is great. The staff is good.
