    Vanilla almond milk latte $6
    Charis W.

Gorgeous little establishment, tons of room and natural light. Vanilla almond milk latte 12 ounce was six dollars of deliciousness. They do a good job of keeping the coffee shop and bike shop in the back separate. Not too crowded on a Saturday morning, unfortunately, it was still pretty loud for trying to be able to study.

Shift is a great place for events, to hangout, work, socialize, or for any of your bicycle needs! I frequently visit Shift and have really enjoyed everything I have purchased. Their vanilla latte and peanut butter cookies are my go-to items and they pair so nicely together! They have a variety of seating options such as the bar, tables, couch, outdoor, etc. They also have a 50 cent discount if you bring your own mug! It is definitely worth the stop if your in town!

A cool place to hang out and chill. Warm lighting. Lovely music. Very friendly staff. I got a cold brew and hubby got a Peru pour over. The coffee was good and beans were fresh. They also serve snacks, tea, lunch boxes and overnight oatmeal.

Eau Claire, Wi. The Good: Wow, a place in Wisconsin that makes an excellent latte. It was Father's Day, yet the line moved fast. I settled into a nice couch and munched on a delightful blueberry scone. I consumed a large portion of this before the coffees were ready. Perfect scone, the only sweetness emitted by the blueberries. The latte's were perfect. Rich espresso with a nutty finish. The crema was thick and rose up through the froth in an almost oily fashion. Probably one of the best lattes I've had. A great discovery here after a week of pathetic latte's. The Bad: The Shift store set up at the Blue Ox Music Festival was a huge disappointment. First of all it insulting to be served a tiny half serving at full price regardless as to how you spin it. It's about the customer, not you. The espresso machine is a joke. It's one of those crappy things where they load up about a dozen servings in a large filter holder. Probably good if you're there early. If you're twenty espresso shots behind, good luck on any flavor. I never saw them refill or change the filter cup. This weak machine produces weak warm (Not Hot) espresso. The steamer is also weak and the milk is only warm. The coffee flavor is good but the entire drink experience is dismal. We were told that yes, they would be serving their tiny latte's on Sunday morning when everyone else there is closed. Guess what? Come Sunday morning it was coffee only, no lattes. At this point I did not even care. Since the experience at their downtown store was so good, the festival experience is only a one star deduction.

Friendly service, excellent coffee, and the Liege waffles are SO GOOD! They are just as good as the ones we had in Brussels.

I came in on a Sunday morning and there was a little line of people ahead of me but it moved pretty quickly! Interior-wise, there isn't a ton of space for seating but luckily, there are plenty of tables/chairs at The Yard Container Park that's ~40 second walk from the bakery. I got the strawberry passionfruit cruffin, chocolate almond croissant, lavender vanilla shortbread, and a latte with sugar-free caramel. First off, I was very impressed with the variety of flavors that were displayed (i.e. passionfruit, rhubarb, cardamon, kimchi, etc.) All the baked goods I got were fantastic- especially the cruffin. I was initially hesitant to order it because I'm not a fan when the exterior doesn't have that flakey/crunchiness. But I'm glad I tried the one here because the texture was perfect. As for the filling, it was a good balance of sweet and tart. Same thing for the croissant. When I ate the cruffin, I already knew the croissant was about to hit- and it did. Perfectly flakey and had that beautiful crunchy exterior. They definitely didn't skimp on the chocolate/almond filling either! Personally, it was a little too much for me but that's just a me thing Last but not least, the lavender vanilla shortbread was wonderful. You can actually taste the lavender and they added a perfect amount of salt to bring the flavors out! Aside from the delightful pastries, the coffee was lovely and the staff were super friendly. Nostalgic Bean is definitely a Altoona gem!

A cozy end to a fantastic vacation…read more Tim described Racy D'lenes as what coffeehouses were like before they exploded everywhere. What he would consider to be a true coffeehouse. This got me excited as I do like a genuine cozy coffeehouse that does it's own thing and Racy was just that. We rolled in around 9am to get coffee and enjoy the quietness before Matt and I drove home. The sky was overcast with the constant threat of rain. The inside of Racy was nice and cozy. I got my americano, a giant chocolate chip cookie and a funny sticker for my final Eau Claire experience. Tim and Matt both got the Cadbury Egg latte. The place was a bit busy so we ended up sitting on this couch. We weren't crammed in there but 3 grown males put it to the test. I kid you not, this americano and cookie may have been the best thing I had during this whole trip. I know I'm easily excitable and tend to give high praise for most things but those two things were legit delicious. The cookie was so good that it made me wish I got a hot coffee just to dunk it in as that sounded divine. Both Matt and Tim said their latte were amazing and tasted just like a Cadbury egg. As we sat there and made small talk and went over the fun of the last few days, I couldn't help but look around and notice all the little things strewn about the place. There was a tank with a live turtle in it. There was a skeleton handing from the skeleton talking to someone (I couldn't see where the line went) via a can and string. The walls were painted or had stuff hanging up. This place must've been here for a long time now. Speaking of the cozy feeling, if this place had a fireplace, I would've fallen asleep so easily. I was already nodding off due to the weather and being perfectly content and settled in, it wouldn't have taken much more to slip off into a light snooze. Now that would've been a first for me, falling asleep in a coffeehouse... but if you've been here on a rainy day, you would understand. Eventually we made our way outside and were doing the midwestern goodbye when it started to sprinkle. That put a little pep in our step to get back to our cars and say goodbye to Eau Claire. Two things to keep in mind for visiting here is that its on the backside of The Nucleus and that since it's on the backside of a building, parking is very limited and you may need to park on the street if it's busy. Racy D'lenes... I will definitely be back.

They have tables available and also couches/chairs for a more comfortable experience! There are some parking spots available in the back or street parking is an option. They also allow you to use reusable mugs, so feel free to bring them if you're getting a drink to go! Edited review based on business response: Based off of the Visit Eau Claire website for dog friendly places, I previously understood that Racy's was dog friendly. It indicated, "Racy D'lene's Coffee Lounge - You and the pup can enjoy a laid-back morning or afternoon at Racy's together. Their coffee and sandwiches and pastries will be a real treat for both you and your trusty four-legged sidekick." It appears that is not accurate and dogs are not allowed inside the building. My coffee order was a ln iced lavender latter with regular milk and an extra shot. It tasted bland like water, yet burnt at the same time. Did not enjoy. The sandwich was perfect and what I was hoping for. But again, the service from the girl that dropped it off at the table really needs to work on her energy because it was not pleasant to interact with even for the split second she came to drop off my food.
