The Brewing Projekt is one of my all time favorite breweries and always a stop when we are in town. The space is large and family friendly. They have a rooftop and large patio available too. Always fun events held throughout the year. The staff is always friendly but the real star is the beer! They make the most unique brews and they do them well! I highly recommend the flight so you can try a few. Definitely have to come back soon to try the cocktails! read more

Really unique and varied beer options. And a super rooftop patio with views of the river. A true Eau Claire gem. No food trucks on the day we were there but we were able to carry in a Little Caesar's pizza from right down the street. read more

Came here on a Saturday night and had a great time with friends. Parking was easy (there's a big lot) and the staff were kind. I love breweries, but I'm gluten free and don't always feel like drinking alcohol, so sometimes my options are very limited. That was not the case here. There were several different options for cocktails-all of which could be made without alcohol. I ordered the cranberry mule and other members of my party enjoyed the NA beer and some of the sours. The space itself is nice and perfect for catching up with friends and playing a card game or two. I can't wait to visit in the summer and sit on the patio overlooking the river. read more

There are a few breweries that specialize in certain types of beer and this is one of them. They do almost exclusively "smoothie sour" type beers and they do them well. Normally the style can be much more "smoothie" than beer, but The Brewing Projekt gets the mix just right. Everything is well blended, not too sweet, and surprisingly light for what they are. Every beer we tried was great. The taproom is huge, their patio overlooks the River, and they allow dogs everywhere. What more do you want? It's a super chill atmosphere with board games and friendly staff. I would make a road trip here again and park a lunch or something. Just hang out, drink a couple beers and play board games. read more

Five stars all the way Worth driving some distance for Best in the Midwest? Best in the Midwest might be a stretch. I would say it is the best in Wisconsin. Top ten in the Midwest for sure. Different people like different beers. I like experimental beers and beers that pack a punch. Brewing Projekt has them both in spades. They put out some of the craziest and tastiest sours that I have ever come across. Sours are definitely what they do best, but they are solid all around. Had their Double Gunpowder last night - fantastic double IPA. Also had a Barleywine to end the evening for a boozy farewell. They rotate a ton; they only have one flagship beer which is the standard dosage Gunpowder. I have been a number of times now as it is a fairly short drive from the Twin Cities. Always been able to belly up at the bar with no problem. If you live within eight hours, I'd say Brewing Projekt is reason enough to drive to Eau Claire for the beer enthusiast. Definitely a destination brewery! read more

I've enjoyed the Brewing Projekt's beers from home since I discovered them during the COVID lockdown. I was so excited to finally stop at the taproom. Wow! The interior is HUGE. We got there shortly after they opened, so there was plenty of space. Even during their busier times, I doubt it would feel cramped or crowded given all the room. They also have top-notch merch compared to many breweries I've been to. The beer itself was great! One thing I truly appreciate about the Brewing Projekt is their selection of sours. I'm not an IPA/malty/hoppy person, so sours are my go-to. I've never been to a place where I had to order a flight and THEN some to be able to try all the sours I wanted! And not only does TBP have variety, they do sours RIGHT. I loved every beer I tried, and it tastes even better from the tap! I also appreciated that they were taking donations for the local animal shelter for the holidays. I love a place that can give back to the community, especially when it involves animals! I can't wait to go back again. This is probably the best brewery I've ever been to. Until then, I will continue to enjoy them from home. Thankfully they're available at my local liquor stores! read more

The Brewing Projekt - Flight of sours. - Breweries Near Me - Eau Claire, Wisconsin

While going to the lake we made a pit stop in Eau Claire for some libations at Brewing Projekt. A super dog friendly brewery with plenty of space to spread out. We got a flight of three plus one extra as we couldn't choose. Stolen Mile: A Golden Ale brewed with fresh lemon zest and fresh basil. The beer tastes like a mix between a light herbal tea with a slight lemon tartness and a lemonade with basil. Very refreshing and unique. Things of That Nature: Their, They're, There: A Double IPA that was double dry hopped with Citra, El Dorado, Mosaic, and Nelson Sauvin. Juicy, hazy, and all thing DIPA. White wine grape flavor with grapefruit / pineapple. Aroma is tropical fruit. Puff Tart XL: RLP An Imperial Sour with raspberry, lemon, pineapple, and marshmallow. I get a good berry and tropical sweetness with thick body from the fruit / marshmallow mixture. The mallow gives it a 'fluffyness' that makes you feel like you are swimming through a fruity cloud. Dezzert Fight: An Imperial Sour with milk sugar, cream cheese powder, blackberry, pineapple, soursop, graham cracker flavoring, and vanilla brewed in collaboration with Dangerous Man. If that's not enough flavors then I don't know what is. If I close my eyes I would think I'm consuming a cheesecake with blackberry and pineapple. Mastery of flavors shown in this one. _________ read more

One thing I have to give for The Brewing Projekt is that their beer recipes are definitely creative. They have lots of variants to certain name beers and many of them are of the more fruity nature. I have had about three or four of their beers at this point and I felt like a little goes a long ways. Speaking strictly from the fruited beer selection (which is vast here) it often times is very, very sweet and sits heavy on one's stomach. Perhaps these beers would be more manageable for me at least in taster set sizes. Artistic concepts for the beers and their names are fun but for somebody like me who is enjoying lighter beers more and more best scale back on the size and pass on the pint size option. read more

Such a cool place to hang out with humans or pets outside. Great selection of drinks.

The Brewing Project is a great spot! It over looks the river, has a large patio space, a large indoor space, and some space for events too! I appreciate how dog friendly the space is as well. My dogs have been able to enjoy the space just as much as we have! They have an excellent variety of beverage options (something for everyone to enjoy)! I personally love the smoothie beers!! I also had my wedding reception in their event space upstairs! Guests all commented on how fun the venue was. It's also nice because it is close to downtown/hotels/etc. They answered all of our questions while we were planning in a timely manner! I would recommend as a hangout space or for events! read more

This place has an incredible location on the river in Eau Claire and a nice selection of beers! The prices are pretty steep for just a pint, my only reason for the 4 stars, but the service was great and the atmosphere was super cool. I didn't get any food, so can't review that yet, but next time I'm in EC, this will be a regular stop with my friends. A warm day on the river with all the space to move around...incredible for large groups as well as small. read more

A very relaxed ambiance. The sours I had , amazing . It is a good place to hang with friends

Even though there are a large collection of breweries in Eau Claire, WI, my wife and I ended up going to The Brewing Projekt three times during our stay in the area. They have high quality beers and by far the best patio seating in the city. They specialize in strong, frothy sours. I had never seen a brewery that specialized in sours. Obviously, I had to give them a try. My first one was a memorable one. It was powerfully green, sour not sweet, and had a frothiness to it like a milky nitro stout. However, the head was not smooth like a nitro stout; instead, it was clumped up, almost as if the beer was still alive and changing in the glass. The next two times I went back I tried different sours, hoping to reach the same experimental perfection I found in the first glass, but they weren't as good. My wife tried a variety of lagers and IPAs and they were all outstanding quality. The patio seating is spread out on the main floor and on the roof to take full advantage of the river views. There were always many people on the patio yet there were always open seats. read more

This brewery is quite trendy. They make several realty hoppy IPAs, hazy dry hopped IPAs, sours, fruit smoothie sours, and high gravity stouts. 20 taps. 4 packs to go. Great outdoor patio and rooftop seating overlooking the Chippewa River. Dog friendly. No food on site. Occasional food truck. Plenty of free parking. Adjacent to bike trail. read more

This quirky brewery specializes in sours, which I've never liked until I tried theirs. Now I LOVE them. They also have more traditional brews for those who don't enjoy sours. They don't have food, but they often host food trucks on weekends. Dog-friendly, with ample indoor seating as well as an outdoor seating area with a view of the river and river walk. We hit The Brewing Projekt every time we visit Eau Claire! read more

Went to a brewery down the road (Lazy Monk) that didn't offer food or a food truck and they sent us here. Mimi's food truck was awesome! I appreciate the Projekt's bicycle rack (near the river/back patio area)! Since we were here, we had to sample a flight (or 2). They have unusual sours and other good (non-sour) choices! Don't forget to check the rooftop seating! It's amazing and a great view of the river and downtown. read more

This place was a great little surprise we found while visiting Eau Claire! We sat at the bar and were greeted right away. The selection of beer is great, if you're in a larger party everyone should definitely be able to find something they like. The bartender helped us pick out a couple of great flights and I thought all the selections were great and so did my husband. I tend to like stouts and brown ales and my husband likes sours, ipa, and funky ones... so between the two of us we were definitely satisfied. The atmosphere is great too! They have ample seating in the main area and at the bar. There are games to choose from and dogs are welcomed inside. read more

Excellent choices on draft beers. Great outdoor area with a nice view. All seating was picnic tables or Adirondack chairs neither good for my husband wearing a kilt. Could use some thought towards inclusivity on seating as that situation is also true for skirts. Overall we had a great time here and would return, in jeans. It would be great if they had food options. read more

Some of the beers were pretty good. Service was just ok. Most of the girls that worked there knew very little about what ingredients (allergens) were in the beer and really just seemed like they were collecting minimum wage checks and could really care less about being there. Beautiful space with tastey IPAs. Not a ton of variety in type of beers but plenty of IPAs that I'm all about! Bartenders are super nice and would be more than happy to make recommendations to fit what you like to drink. The new space is gorgeous with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Belly up to the bar or find a cozy booth to sit inside. Between the indoor space and the patio are large garage doors that let in tons of light and air. The patio out back is huge with five long picnic tables and a green space overlooking the river. The entire space is dog friendly, woop woop and even has little bowls for the furry friends to enjoy a drink inside. They do not offer food but are totally cool with you ordering in. Enjoyed a flight of beers (3 pours for 5 bucks) and enjoyed a pizza from a local restaurant while we played a board game outside. Nice way to end the night! Lots of fruity sour options, which I love!! Besides the sours they mostly have IPAs which my husband tried in a flight of 3, but didn't care for them. However he did like the sours and fruity beers! (Which he doesn't normally care for) We sat outside which was nice. Lots of inside and outside seating. Came back the next day to buy some cans to take home. read more

Beautiful building! ... great selection of beers! Got 2 flights and they were all good!!

4:30p on Sunday. No crowds. Brewery was quiet with a bartender, a handful customers and a great cute puppy. So you know, you can bring your lovrly dog to the facility. :-) The brewery has a tap room with a dozen or so beers on tap. A flight has 4 5oz beers for $4 a flight. So you get to find your best one and probably have one or a few crawlers or growlers to go. It doesn't serve food. That's a bummer but shouldn't stop you from going. read more

We loved The Brewing Projekt when we stopped into town. You can tell they are taking Covid precautions very seriously. They escort you to a table and ask you to stay seated the whole time. They have a barcode to scan at the table for mobile beer ordering. SO (highlighted and bolded for extra emphasis) many fun beers to choose from! We tried four sours that ranged in alcohol percentage, flavors and consistency. We loved all four. Highly recommend! read more

We didn't know what to expect from this brewery, but having high expectations based on other local watering holes in the area, we had a great experience. Tucked in the corner of a parking lot, it doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you get settled, you'll find that this is a hard place to leave. On nice days, they open up the garage door and you could easily spend several hours on the outside patio under stringed lights. It's not too big of an establishment, but there is plenty of parking, and the staff is friendly. I believe that they have food trucks once in awhile, but there wasn't one on the Friday afternoon during our visit. They don't have your typical lagers, IPAs, etc., but rather, some interesting variations, specifically their Gun Powder IPA which was hands down my favorite of the several that I sampled. It's a dry hopped beer, which adds extra aroma and the green tea infusion added extraordinary distinct flavor that I had never experienced with this style of beer. It is very drinkable but with its 6.8% alcohol content, be wary of drinking too much on a hot day! Certainly looking forward to my next visit! read more

I'll start off by saying that the building itself is absolutely gorgeous, with a fantastic industrial feel to it. There is a beautiful mural on the outside North wall of a Hop, which just attributes to the atmosphere. The inside has high ceilings, cement floors, a small bar area, but TONS of space! You can also head right outside or take the elevator up to the roof. HOWEVER: the beer selection here was lacking, in my opinion. I personally do not mind hoppy beers, but the person I came with didn't like hoppy beers at all. There are also no dark beers here. I tried an IPA, and my friend ordered the least hoppy beer that they had on the menu. He couldn't finish half of it. I was pretty disappointed in my selection, I wish I remembered what it was, but it was a huge bummer. Such a beautiful venue, yet a lack of variety. I probably won't go back. read more

So fun to hang out at on a sunny day. The beer was great and so was the bomb drinks! Quiet, chill, and very relaxing.

Now I'm not saying this review is scaled higher because we toured a certain *other famous shandy brewery* earlier in the day, but we may or may not have been at Chippewa Falls a few hours previously. After that experience, the No Sh*t Shandy at the Brewing Projekt was SO very welcomed! As the bartender here told us (without a hint of irony), this particular shandy -- and the beer -- contains 100% lemons and 0% bullsh*t. I don't particularly like shandy in general (Wisconsin, you are weird), but yeah, you can very much taste the difference. I tried the Stolen Mile, a lemon basil beer, and was impressed by how refreshing and flavorful it tasted. Each beer here is still only about $5-$6, which is a steal for the quality. They also have some delicious dark beers, none of which I can remember the names, but man, these guys are doing something awesome. A flight of beer will only set you back a few bucks and you'll get to try some truly decent brews. The seating area outside is full of picnic tables and string lights; the employees are friendly and awesome; there is plenty of parking and a big open sky above. It's like sitting in someone's backyard (ok, no grass), if that someone was a heavily tattooed dude who happens to like brewing delicate lemon shandy. Speaking of tattoos and lemons: Why is this brewery named like a bad metal band? Is it German? I'm going to pretend like it is German, because the "k" really confuses me. Otherwise, win/win/win: A craft brewery with genuinely good beer, decent prices, no sh*t. read more

I love the beer this place makes. There were a few missteps when I visited from out of state, but overall the love is still very strong. My wife and I arrived and I entered the queue for ordering. I'm not sure if they were locals, supporters, funders, or who exactly - but as folks came up to the bar after me they were served first and I kept getting the "I'll be right with you" from the 'keep. Okay. That made for a long wait. They also had no merch to sell, which was so weird. I was informed that the place would be full of merch tomorrow for an anniversary celebration. Me being there the one night I could, I was just out of luck. And they had nothing to sell to take home. If I didn't love their product so much I'd give a lower rating, but I guess if your beer is awesome, you don't have to be good at much else! read more

Came here on a Saturday, it's pretty small so if you have a big group, you might have trouble finding a spot. There was only one bartender so there was a little wait to get the beer, but nothing excessive. Beer itself was great! Midnight Oil - This is a standout, smooth and creamy - it almost looked like dessert in a cup. It was just as delicious as dessert too. East Meets West - Was a bit aprehensive about ginger in my beer, but it wasn't overwhelming and added a nice touch GunPowder IPA - you could taste the green tea in this, but it worked really well! I normally don't like IPAs, and the idea of green tea turned me off, but my friend ordered this and it actually pairs very well together read more

A perfect spot to spend a summer night! The Brewing Projekt is a working brewery, so it's a little out of the way and housed in a cinder block building that isn't much to look at from the outside. There is a fenced-in area in front of the brewery with picnic tables and string lights that make for a lovely summer setting. The lineup definitely skews toward IPAs and other hop-forward beers; I tried a limited release for a festival and it wasn't for me. Looking at their most recent tap room menu there are some new(er) brews that sound amazing and I'm pumped to go back to try something on the darker end of the spectrum. read more

I really love this brewery! Their IPAs are some of my favorites. It's awesome how the tasting room is right in the middle of the brewery. There's tons of space both inside and out. I also love that its dog friendly! Next time, I'm trying a beer slushie. Cheers! read more
