We stopped by on our way through Chippewa Falls and we were delightfully surprised by the size and atmosphere of the lodge. There was plenty of seating, a wide range of Leinie offerings, loads of merch, and pricing was reasonable. I'm sure this place is absolutely packed in the summer, but they do have a patio as well. Highly recommend stopping by for a pint.

A tasty basic Pretzel available at a low price point. The staff were very helpful and lowkey, if you need something approach them. The environment is a typical brewery vibe. Very family friendly, we saw a lot of babies.

Wow what a sick place! Traveling through Chippewa Falls and what a better place than this to stop for a couple pints :) Obviously tried the $5 happy hour pints! I love a light and refreshing beer, so the brewology mix was right up my ally! The cherry lemonade with their red berry and summer shandy was actually one of the best things I've tried! Will be making those all summer. The fuzzy bear was a close second with a mix of their honey and berry Weiss. Not too sweet. The bartender was helpful in suggesting which brewology to choose and did so with a smile! Great place!

Love this place, so many beers to choose from I did the flight. They also have indoor/ outdoor seating and a great gift shop. Dog friendly! I highly recommend doing the tour for $17 dollars, it's a full hour of the history of the beer company and Nana is a great tour guide. I really enjoyed my visit!

A must-stop if you find yourself in Chippewa Falls or Eau Claire! We attended the 4pm brewery tour, and it was quite extensive and well done! We went inside the brewery (pro tip: if you go in the summer wear short sleeves because it's HOT in the brewery) and saw where and how the beer is made, the bottling factory, and the current flavors they are producing! A fun fact is that all their brewing equipment was made in Germany. Afterwards you get 4 tasting tickets to try any 4 beers of your choice! My favorite was the grapefruit shandy and the Strawberry Hefeweizen they have currently in their test brewery! They have a ton of great merch so of course I also had to pick myself up a shandy T-shirt! Great time!

This place was packed on a late September Saturday. Some people, like us, were there to do a full tour, while others were just enjoying a drink. There were also many high school seniors dressed up to take photographs outside and indoors--this is quite the local landmark. The lodge itself is large, containing an extensive bar, sitting area, merchandise shop, and patio. A short walk across the bridge is the actual brewery. Our tour guide was great. We were never bored on the hour-plus tour as we learned about Leinenkugel family history, local history and the evolution of the brewery, and the science of beer making. The tour was family friendly, as there were several kids along. The adult tour price includes tickets for flight-sized beers back at the lodge, which can be redeemed before or after the tour. I'm not a big beer fan, but I really enjoyed myself here.

By far one of the best brewery tours I've ever taken. Leinie Lodge is beautiful and so laid back. The staff is fantastic, so many beers to choose from and their store has t shirts, koozie, and tons of other items. Plus great prices Say Hi to Matt!!

Your quintessential tourist brewery. I only ever knew them for their shandy but their lagers are actually very good. Definitely get the peach beer if they have it. They offer a lot of tours and their taproom is a glorified gift shop. The service was excellent and if we're in the area I would 100% stop in again. The taproom isn't dog friendly and can get pretty crowded but their patio is spacious and pups are welcome.

Sitting down to the Berry Weiss.

Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing( Leinie Lodge is the name of the tasting room of theirs here )have had in the past but it was considerable amount of time that has passed since I had their beer so I figured it was time for a refresher. When I think about this brewery Shandy and sweet Berliner Weisse style beers pop into my head but they make other beer styles as well like IPA'S , Spritzens, Bocks and Helles style beers as well. I went with what I normally associate with them on and got a Berry Weiss. Specifically it was a raspberry and blackberry flavor so it did indeed came in sweet. The beer was pretty good. Just slightly passed "too sweet" but not bad.The tartness and the light body of the beer made it very manageable and drinkable. With a low ABV and not being too overwhelming in any particular way it would be easy to have a few if your mind was set towards doing so.

Great offerings of beers on the tour - beautiful facility that is very well maintained. Very friendly staff that's knowledgeable and helpful! Absolutely loved the Libeerty Shandy - please take that to market next summer!!! We'd also love having Dunkle back!

Being a Summer Shandy officiando all summer long, I was excited to check out the home of my favorite warm weather staple! Easy to find, with plenty of lot parking, the outside of the space screams lodge! Upon entry, it kind of feels like a massive gift shop with everything you can imagine Leinenkugels branded. Upon further investigation, you find a large bar and plenty of seating options. We loved how it was decorated for the holiday season! Service was extraordinary and the beers were only $5 a piece! While you can find your favorite Leinie classics, the taproom also has some other exclusives to try! Where the Leinie Lodge stands out is it's Brewology mixes. They have a curated list of different mixtures of their various beers, which gives you access to another myriad of choices! Try one or a flight...you can't go wrong! Such a fun stop on our road trip to Milwaukee from the Cities! Will probably stop again when the weather is a bit warmer and we can enjoy some of the outdoor seating!

Yes, here for the beer :)

What a fun place! Leinenkugel beer is always fantastic. They are widely distributed so we drink it in AZ but this is my first time enjoying it at the actual brewery. The tasting room is very nice and Chipawa Falls is a beautiful spot. So many trees, the river, and the hills. Didn't take the tour due to timing but that's okay. We had a great time enjoying some beer with family. We had a tasting flight of the juicy peach, hefeweiss, fresh hop red, Jacob spring, canoodler, and bumble bee. Then I enjoyed a pint of lemon haze IPA mixed with juice peach. So tasty and $5/pint is a deal. We had a coupon for buy one, get one so even better deal. But I made up for that savings in the merch area. They have really cute stuff!

We did the brewery tour and tasting, which was fun and interesting. Our guide, Diane was great. I highly recommend visiting before they close the brewery (Jan 2025).

Ask the Community - Leinie Lodge

This might be a dumb question considering this is a drinking-related venue, but are kids allowed on the premises (i.e. on the patio)? We're visiting from out of state and will have a few small kids with us.

Yes! We brought our son and there were other kids on the patio. Not sure about the tour specifically, but definitely allowed in the lodge.

I love visiting breweries and trying out local offerings. Lazy Monk was on my list of places to visit based on just the name alone, but their current beer list was looking pretty good, too. Tim and I (Matt was coming up the next day) dropped in around early dinner time and it was fairly quiet in the brewery. There were a few people chatting with the bartender when we went up to order some drinks. First and foremost, I grabbed a sticker and magnet before I would inevitably forget. I grabbed a flight of beers since a lot of them sounded really good. Unfortunately, the one beer I was really hyped to try was out until the next day. That was the kolsch. I ended up getting the Bohemian Pilsner Lager, Raspberry Lemon Shandy, Kristall Weiss, Mad Monk IPA, and Bohemian Dark Lager. The Mad Monk was really good. It was my favorite. The Kristall and Bohemian Pilsner Lager were really good, too. The Raspberry Lemon was good but not really my cup of beer. I got it to sample since I was taking home a 4-pack for Emily. As for the Dark Lager... not a fan at all. Not that it was gross but it just isn't for me. The bartender was super cool and took the time to explain all the beers I ordered, made great small talk and really made us feel welcome. Lazy Monk really leans into the German/Bohemian aspect. The exterior of the building has some strong German vibes and once you walk inside, it really feels like you walked into a bar in the middle of a small German town. I believe there is also an outdoor seating area but we only saw it while we were out walking around. If you find yourself in Eau Claire and want a really chill place to grab some beer, Lazy Monk is the place to go.

They will fill a growler for you, but it's not very economical, better just to buy the cans. They have all their own beer on tap now and root beer on tap plus a few cans of soda and bottled water. No food here but you can bring in anything you like and eat it inside. Nice meals, occasionally have some special events and live music, you have to check their social media for those updates. They have a Mug club for regulars. Always great service from personable bartenders. They really know the regulars. Occasionally you'll catch the owner slinging beer too. No TV or jukebox so you can actually have a conversation. The acoustics can make it a little echoey at times however, especially if there's a lot of people inside.
