    amber oolong

Sent amber oolong and silk oolong to a friend this Xmas. Friend wrote back " tea is very fragrant and it doesn't upset my stomach". I'm grateful that they're taking the time to make clean, high quality tea from Taiwan accessible. Price is reasonable for the quality. I follow their instructions and brew up to five times. Tea so enjoyable throughout the day even in a non fancy glass jar that I wanted to get the entire tea ceremony set, which is not practical at this time. But admiring this tea color and the smells does bring some mindfulness relief throughout the busy day. Customer service is awesome. I had questions about brewing their tea, sourcing and farming practices prior to gifting to friends. They were patient in providing explanations that show they care very much about their products and customers. I can get high quality tea elsewhere or I can fly to Taiwan or have people bring me tea from Taiwan, but this business is trustworthy and they are local.

A tea experience like no other. Truly a great variety of drinks and things to snack on for the real connoisseur. The owner is super nice and very knowledgeable! We had a great experience there, and will definitely be returning!

Silk & Jade was quite a find! A little gem of a tea, silk and jade boutique in a Glendale neighborhood, easy-parking on the street, free for two hours. As you step into the shop you feel as if you have traveled to Asia. All of the details were a feast to our eyes and mouths!! Gorgeous pieces of silk clothing and jewelry, I also loved the chandelier. The knowledge and history that Joe shared with us was spectacular and such a treat! We were lucky to have found him on Yelp! His mother was a tea expert when they lived in Taiwan. We learned about green tea, oolong, the difference of teas from England to India and All over Asia. We were able to smell and sample a variety of teas. You can purchase beautiful and unusual tea sets for a great price. Other one of a kind gifts too. I will go back and purchase a crystal necklace w a silk chain for my niece. They also sell a variety of green matcha sweets that you can enjoy at home when you brew your tea and savor together... Thanks Joe, we had an awesome and lovely experience!!!

at the end of the tea ceremony. I feel like a princess.

The owner are a young married couple. They are friendly and fun and candid. The owners historical knowledge of each tea is surprising and super cool. They offered tea tastings of any of the teas you're interested in. It felt ceremonial and was a fun experience with friends. Lots of gifts here too. They are adamant about sourcing the best of the best.

Seriously, Nina and Joe are incredible. Super attentive and knowledgeable... drinking tea was such an amazing experience. Who knew you have tea pairings, similar to wine!! And their merch is pretty cool. Beautiful Korean jewelry boxes!

They lay down the ground rules when you walk in and let you know how the evening will go. The tea was 10/10 wow! I can't recall which one i kept coming back to but i had four cups. I love how informative they are of each tea blends and they really cater to everyone. Once you find a nice little cozy spot pray it's still available when you get up to go to the restroom or get more tea. You can't reserve an area the whole point is to meet others and socialize. Again i loved coming with my friends and made more at the end of the night. Loved the live music as well!! (:

There's fabric couches on the floor that are dingy and weird, people take up way more space than they should so you have to awkwardly wait for someone to get up and leave and take their spot. People are kissing and being super PDA even though you're one millimeter away from them. If an orgy started here I really would not be surprised. The tea is given to you in a teeny tiny cup, so you'll need to get up a lot to go get your refill and money's worth. Then you're worried some vulture will swoop in and take your spot. Looking around, I can see it's a very profitable place for them seeing as it's $50 a head for a pretty mid experience. This place is literally the definition of looks can be deceiving. It looks beautiful, spacious, and enticing on instagram but it's small and weird. If you're claustrophobic or easily grossed out, spare yourself. Oh, and if you have to go to the bathroom you'll have to go do that barefoot, too. It's also in a super sketch area so if you aren't lucky enough to get parking right out front then good luck. I want my $100 back. Do NOT recommend. Soo many better places in LA.

The shop is LOVELY! Pink everywhere, lovely set ups, it was a dream! The tea we got was soooo good too! I got the Des Alizes and my friend got Paris for her. We asked for a side of cream and took our tea with one sugar lump. It was fantastic. The three tier stand of scones and finger sandwiches were super yummy too. We went with the Rose Tea set - came with 3 finger sandwiches, 2 scones and desserts. The desserts amd scones were good, but of those 3 finger sandwiches, my favorite was the cucumber dill sandwich. Second was the smoked salmon. Didn't very much care for the egg one. I will definitely be coming back with all females I know in my life! I highly recommend, such a fun time!

Great teas and little finger sandwiches and pastries all at an affordable price of $30-50ish per person (vs. some other places which may go upwards of like $60-100 per person). The whole decor is cute with pink and white being the main motif of the tea room which is a stark difference from the plaza just outside. The dishware and tea sets are all so cute and the teas? Plenty of options. My wife and I tried out the pear and hibiscus teas respectively and they were just right: not too sweet. The sandwiches were great with slight asian influences to them. The pastries were my favorite though, nothing like a scone with butter and jam to go with your tea. Anyway, great teas, great food, great vibes, and great prices. What more do you need? A reservation? Yeah I suppose that helps too hah!
