I drove all the way from Santa Monica to see Seppi. I've heard great things about her, and since my regular nail tech at Poppi Snails (on Santa Monica Blvd) was on vacation, I thought it was a great opportunity to see Sepi. Her scheduling system is really simple and user-friendly. For the past year, I've been getting Gel X, but Sepi suggested we try acrylic instead, so I went with it. UI was there for almost 3 hours. Sepi really takes her time, and she learned how to draw the heart and the star on my nails as she went, using a YouTube video. The salon was empty, so I believe they can use more business! The neighborhood is a bit rough, but the prices here are way lower than in Santa Monica. I normally pay $160 for a new set of Gex X, but here at Signature Nails, I paid around $105, including a $10 tip. Free parking. read more

She may overcharge your credit card and take your money without you realizing it. It's as if she borrows your money interest-free if you don't catch it. A friend of mine came here for nail services and was overcharged--from $100 to $1,000. She noticed the discrepancy two weeks later and asked the owner for a refund. The owner wrote a check, but it bounced. My friend and her companions had to visit the salon to confront her and demand their money. Mine lasted 3 weeks in 5 years of getting my nails done they've never stayed on that long. They quick too which made me have low expectations at first but wooow I was so happy. They were super speedy and the price was about average ($35) for the area. This place feels fairly quiet but with a steady stream of local regulars who are on first name basis with all the staff. Tina was warm and wanted to chat. It's not fancy inside, and the pedicure basins are basic BUT they listened and gave me exactly what I wanted and I was very happy with their work - no cuts or pain! Feels like They take care of regular older customers more than new customers. I tip generously on salons, not today. Sorry. adding on. I'm giving this place a 2 star for the spa chairs. The chairs are new and comfortable. I made an appointment for a regular mani and gel pedicure. The regular mani-$13 and a gel pedi-$32. A regular pedi-$20. I didn't ask the price for a gel mani.The salon needs to update prices on their price board. My total was $45. The mani/pedi technician's work was average. The nail polish fill work was horrible that she wasn't applying the color all around the nail. The color I applied was "bubble bath." The nail polish color is very sheer and I am very aware of that. I asked for a 3rd coat of the color and the technician said no because the color will lift. I am fine with that since it's a regular mani. its excepted for the color to chip or ware off easily. I did not care if it occurred. For my pedi, she cut me and cleaning out the cuticle was very choppy. For the foot message it was more of a rubbing motion up and down and side to side instead of a message technic. It turned out to be very PAINFUL. On top of that the tech. doesn't make conversation which makes you feel unwelcome or a bothered. I did tip so I didn't walk out with free services. The whole point to take time off to come in and get a little pampering done to yourself was not met coming here. Instead, your leaving with disappointment and frustration. read more

Okay spot on this side of the valley. Make sure you have about an hour to spare...they stop and talk a lot while they're working. I didn't like that the scrubbing bar that they used on my feet wasn't clean(This was the first time I have seen this happen here). It had dust and hair on it. Pretty gross. By the time I wanted to tell her not to use it, she had already started. Uh. Also, they heated up fish for lunch and the whole place reeked of fish. I had taken a shower and gotten my hair done, ready to go out after finishing my nails..but by the time I left my hair smelled like their food. Also, there were a bunch of flies everywhere because of the smell. They shouldn't be eating that type of food inside. If you're looking for a great nail place go to Top nails in northridge. They sanitize all their instruments before each use and have tons of people working there so you barely have to wait. read more

"Quin" did my manicure and I don't know the lady's name that did my pedicure. They both did a good job. The only thing is that I was very careful not to mess up my nails while it was drying. I did a good job but when I went to sleep and woke up the next day I had all these lines (guessing from my hair) on my nails. Wth? Did my body get that hot to kind melt the nail polish again and make it susceptible to lines and what not. Weird. I used to go to them and Anne used to do my nails. I was a client for 5/6 yrs and they are very rude in there. They do not listen to people when they ask for something and they take forever to take off acrylics when you soak them. I took my mom in there one time and she had the worst experience because I know Ann and I know Ann is good and I know Tina is good but I requested my mom to have someone who is experienced and Ann put my mother with someone who has never done an acrylic in her life and she ruined my mothers nails and then stated that she didn't have to go to her and that it was my mothers choice.
