Also, the facilities are bright, the tools are clean and kept up to standards, and they have a great selection of colors. They also have specials - Monday through Wednesday you can a mani and pedi for $25, which is a deal! They're open until 7pm everyday but Sunday and unlike most other salons, they don't make you feel rushed to get out of there even though it's passed closing time. Also, I've come to love this place because I've gone to its competitor down the street, InStyle Nails, and yeah, they have the free baby water bottles (which you don't always get) and the place is decked out in hot pink walls, but the quality of their work isn't that great (sorry to say).

Sometimes I wish I lived in LA so I could experience one of her amazing facials I've heard about. Since this was an out of town wedding (I live in Arizona and we were having the wedding in Southern California), I wasn't able to meet with Marlu before hand to talk about what I wanted or to do a trial run. I provided her with pictures of the type of look I wanted and they were able to execute it perfectly! This isn't to say that you should have a trial run, I'm sure it would have made things easier for Marlu walking in if we had done one. However my point is that Marlu has the ability to recreate what YOUR looking for. They were able to achieve a natural look with my makeup and my hair was perfect! I wish I could post a picture here of the final results so you could see the amazing work they did. My mom's hair came out amazing as well! She was so excited to be pampered for a bit by Marlu and her team. They also did a great job with my bridesmaids. They all wanted a similar look, down with loose curls and they all had very different hair types. They did a great job working with each person to achieve a uniform look. Marlu is simply amazing and has my highest recommendation!

After keeping regular appointments over the past few months, I have seen a significant improvement in my skin. She is very thorough, yet gentle with her skin treatments. It's also great to work with her because she understands the variety of issues that occur with different skin types (hyperpigmentation, oiliness, dehydration, etc). Marlu is pleasant, flexible with scheduling, and very encouraging. It's easy for anyone to feel self conscious about their skin, but Marlu's friendly personality allows me to let me guard down. Every time I get a facial I see an immediate difference the next morning. It's exciting and a relief to see the transformation! She filed my pinky toenail really aggressively, and I am still dealing with a damaged nail bed as a result months later. I had never had problems with my toenail beds before. The polish was applied remarkably sloppily, and because so much of it was in my skin, the gels fell off within days. And somehow the total came out to 160 for a gel mani pedi.....
