Overall well made house. The problem is totally mismatched single-stage HVAC equipment for a 2 zone house. After 6 years of occupancy both the Carrier furnace and A/C had to be replaced - big bucks. A single stage with a one phase zoned system would have worked perfectly. Many neighbors have found leaking roofs, drains and cracks in their new homes. Buyer Beware. Make sure you totally check the functionality of your equipment with competent 3rd party company - even with a new house check everything. read more

Bad service with their warranties, these new homes are a joke, not all and cheap materials used and appliances, things do not last long, It is not worth the price we paid for 4 years ago when it was new...they charge every upgrade...I will be surprised if the house last long esp. the fence, and HVAC systems,,had issues already and few other homes have same issues.....besides paying the Mello Roos, HOA and property tax it is a expensive place..The neighborhood is ok...if I had a choice I would not live here...people are not all friendly they mind their own business...not all but most of them...I try to be friendly say hello.. You are basically 4ft from house to neighbors fence we share. You can hear everyone and their conversations if the windows are open or outside in yard or front...noise carried throughout...each to its own...this is not a place I want to raise a family or live...but I am here I just how to deal with it... read more

I purchased a Signature homes in the Acacia community in Oakley last year Oct 24. I have to say that the home is built extremely well! The windows have great sound reduction, the doors including the front door are solid not flimsy of cheap. The electric panels looked amazing individually labeled even our home inspector was impressed. He was also impressed with the the attic, insulation was done well, heat shielding etc. I have had to use the warranty on some minor fixes like finishes but they are extremely responsive and get things handled asap. My kitchen still looks the same than my last review. The couldnt find the same granite that i currently have so the want me to pay over $3000 for an upgrade. Worst experience ever. We have been in our home for a month and we love it. The location on the street, our neighbors, the layout of the house is all perfect. Ashton, out sales agent, was awesome. He explained the process from the start to finish and he always made himself available to answer any questions we had and was our go to man for all of our concerns. I have to say at first I thought this company might be ok. Nice sales people who seemed knowledgeable. 3 years after purchase I can say I was wrong. I was totally ripped off as were my neighbors. I paid a Lot premium for having a larger back yard and backing up to the road instead of another home. They claimed another housing project was going in across the road behind me. Soon after I moved in a 3 story apartment complex went in behind my house looking down into my backyard... ! I paid a premium for that! And they claimed they were unaware. A complex the size and scale of what went in behind my house had to be in the works for years ! Of course all the fine print when you buy a home ( if you read it , it would take forever to go through and longer to understand) takes them off the hook. I will be selling my home ( that I hate now) soon and know I will take a loss. You walk in my front door and all you see is a wall of apartments! I highly discourage you from buying from a builder that is dishonest and only about their bottom line... I will tell everyone I come in contact with not to even look at this dishonest builder! read more

This is about the building of centra community in livermore. These guys don't care about the surrounding neighbors when building. They only care about finishing their jobs so they can make that money. Their dust control is zero. Dust every where and they don't cars. We go to the city and file a complaint but the city if Livermore doesn't do anything. Why? Because they got their millions for permits and are forcing them to do parts of road repairs and park maintenance so they don't cars about the nearby houses and businesses. First few weeks that they were building the homes there were long nails in the street. We tell them about it and they said kids come and night and throw things around. Well if you make sure the gates are closes no one comes.the dust control truck only came after numerous complaints from neighbors and businesses and yet Buy from a company that respects the community and neighbors. read more

You be the judge. A decorative mirror (approx 68" wide x 50" high) was installed by Signature about 20 years ago in our home, in the family room above the fireplace. In October 2016, the mirror fell. Now, we know why. The 5 spots of adhesive was not enough for this size mirror. So, if you purchased a home about 20 years ago from Signature and purchased an upgrade mirror similar to this, please be aware that the mirror may fall due to poor workmanship. Or, if you purchased a home from SIgnature recently and have an upgraded mirror, be aware that this may happen. I would hope Signature have hired better contractors. I have notified Signature and am now trying to reach out to those who have similar mirrors to please be aware of this potential hazard. read more

I wish I could go lower than one star. We've had several landscaping issues and the way sod was laid at our house. Debris was simply covered up by the sod. Bushes died immediately and we've been waiting for a year, still no replacements. I could go on with other issues. NO RESPONSES without constant prodding, and then still nothing happens, they simply extend a new promise. Worse customer service experience I've ever had. read more

We had been looking and looking for a home in San Jose, but couldn't find the right home for our family in our price range. Our real estate agent brought us to look at the Twin Creeks neighborhood in Gilroy. We fell in love with the homes, neighborhood and location. Fortunately we purchased the home soon enough and we were able to pick out all of our options. Brenda, the agent onsite, was very nice and helpful with the entire process. She went above and beyond helping us with some special requests for the home as well as giving us great advice and information about the area. Due to the heavy rain over the winter our close of escrow was pushed out. When Signature Homes found out that the new date was going to jeopardize our interest rate they worked with us and were able to complete the home in time to preserve our rate. We have now been in the house for the last month and love our new home. And an added bonus for our family are all the new families we have met in the neighborhood, we and our children couldn't be happier. We have had to contact the warranty department to repair a fence and crushed cable line. Signature Homes responded immediately and both issues were resolved. My experience is a little different but definitely a great one. Ive lived in the valley for a long time and my husband and I were ready to move back to Gilroy. We stopped at Signature literally because we drove by and was greeted by Brenda! They didn't have much left but the house she showed us we fell in love with ..so much so we drove back to our house to get our checkbook to make a deposit. Brenda has been AWESOME. Communicative, open to any questions and just an absolute delight to deal with. We bought at Belmont in Galt in April. During the process the sales associates had a good cop/bad cop thing going on. We'd ask one of them (Megan) if we could have something custom done and would get the green light. Then the other (Lisa) would tell us she was wrong and no we couldn't do whatever we asked for. All of the marble backsplashes are coming away from the walls, tub and showers, the plastic insert in the spare bathroom was put in crooked, the doors were not put in correctly, the inside frame work was sloppy, the irrigation system is garbage along with the drains in the yard, and most of the rooms are not evenly square (we found this out when we had new flooring put in). All of our neighbors have had the same complaints, so it's not just us. So far they've been good about responding to our complaints, but this house has had so many issues, we absolutely regret choosing this builder. read more

This review is for the location in Roseville, CA - Oakbriar. We were one of the first to sign and reserve a home. Josh and Lisa are in the sales office and we couldn't have asked for better. Although it was a long process, as buying a new home from ground up always is, it was well worth the wait. Their recommended lender was phenomenal and sealed the deal. We have only been in the home for a couple of weeks but the quality of the home is excellent. Since moving in they have been super-responsive on a couple of small little things that we needed and they have gone above and beyond in servicing. I believe they are a smaller builder so they don't have to go through a lot of red tape to get things done when you do encounter an obstacle. Alfonso, the Super is great and he has an awesome crew that works with him. Other builders after closing I have felt discarded but not with them, I even will stop by the office just to check in and say "hi" to them. If you are in the market for a home, be sure to stop by and talk with Lisa or Josh - you won't be disappointed. read more

We recently bought a newly constructed home from Signature Homes in Moraga and we are VERY happy with the quality of the home. The construction team led by foreman Troy was very solid and detail-oriented as well as being very friendly and pro-active during the several walk throughs throughout the new construction process. Senka, the sales associate heading the development, was an invaluable guide throughout the new home construction process. She provided regular updates throughout a very rainy and somewhat unpredictable construction season. Early in the process, she was able to provide several referrals for loan agents who were familiar with financing new construction homes. This allowed us to get a competitive rate during a time when there was great uncertainty in how interest rates would be affected (i.e. election 2016) and a smooth final closing. Overall, we are very happy with our home and with the home-buying process that we experienced at Signature Homes. We also heard many good things about the quality of Signature Home properties from contacts who are in the construction/contracting business, which helped validate that we made the right choice. read more
