The guy was at my house for 5 minutes and required a check for $55 before he left. I asked that the quoting fee be added to the total bill I would pay once the installation was complete. He stated that the company didn't allow that, unlike most all other companies which give free quotes. After I received the quote, I emailed multiple times and left voice messages to schedule the work to begin. No one answered my messages. When they finally did respond to the email messages asking why they weren't scheduling a start date, they stated that I needed to bring a check for 50% of the cost to their office. Which of course was in the fine print of the quote but never directly explained to me. Since I hadn't dropped off this check to their office they simply ignored my requests. After I was given the run-around by this company and realized they had just scammed $55 from me for 5 minutes of looking around my house, I contacted another company. The other company gave me a free estimate and found out the Broken Windows guy had measured the window dimensions wrong anyway! They would have ordered incorrect sizes, realized it once they tried to put the windows in, and would have had to order all new windows making the job take twice as long. I'm glad I didn't do business with Broken Windows.
