I am losing a very important family home in Incline, so emotions were high when I called around to…read moretry to find someone that could save our very unique, very sentimental, family heirloom front door. Oh, and the door was an odd size, needed to be replaced with another working door, AND this needed to happen within the next week - no pressure. Jose and his team at Mr. Handy not only said this would be no problem, but also got to the house within an hour to measure the door and begin the process of finding a replacement. Another hour later, he said they were unable to find a new door but already searched on marketplace and found one the correct size that had been listed that morning. For once, the universe was on my side! They travelled all the way to Reno to pick this door up for me and less than 24 hours after I initially called them to inquire about this daunting chore, my family's door was safely wrapped up and in my truck and the new door was in place. These days, this kind of service just does not exist anymore. Mr. Handy has restored my faith that there ARE good people with good business practices out there. I will forever recommend this company to anyone needing work. From the bottom of my heart - THANK YOU!!!

This was on a Friday. He was supposed to buy baseboards over the weekend and paint them and then install on Monday. It lightly snowed on Monday and he didn't show up. Then Tuesday came and he didn't show up and wouldn't answer texts either. He said he was gonna show up on Wednesday. When I confirmed again, he said it was too stressful and he wasn't gonna do the job and kept the $200. Bad faith dealing. I wanted to give him a chance despite his bad reviews but he totally messed up and kept the $200. He said that was the price for measuring! Do not hire him and save yourself a lot of anguish.
