We were able to choose a cabinet and countertop pretty quickly. The orders were all as expected. The cabinetmaker's work is good, and it was easy for our woodworker to install the cabinets. Our stone countertops look beautiful, and they are cut really nicely. As far as craftsmanship and timeliness, everything was expected. Brock was very quick to respond to me about my questions. I had a lot of questions. I'm not trying to discount the frustrations in these reviews. They are also real to some extent. Remodels and building can be extremely stressful, requiring decisions and money (lots of money sometimes). I won't lie if I say I haven't been tempted to give vendors bad reviews because of timeliness and lack of response. The key for me was to really try and reach out and ask questions and get answers that helped me. That didn't mean they'd be faster or cheaper. It just meant I knew what was going on. Now that I have a little distance from this phase of our project, I can say that I am happy with the work and the options that Mountain Modern gave us. They did the work that we paid for, and they did it well.

I come and and the guy rings the bell for will call. Wait 5 minutes and no one comes. Ring again. Someone comes. He spent 10 minutes trying to find my order and couldn't. Then I had to wait 15 minutes in line and then someone wrote up my order and I went to pay for it. They told me I had to drive somewhere a few blocks away to pick up my items. Fine. I did that. And I get there and they say they are out of stock of 3 of my four items. Why did they just sell me out of stock items and not tell me. Now I have to call on the phone and convince them I didn't actually get the three items I paid for and they need to credit my card. I didn't have the time to drive 2 blocks and back wait in line again. Update: they don't take phone calls on the weekend, even though they are open. !!?! And all of this took an hour, which should have taken less than 5 minutes and completely messed up my whole day of scheduled events.

Great size show room and they have slabs in the back right. Why am I sharing where the slabs are?…read moreWell, customer service is lacking, so this way you can navigate a little bit. Went in twice. First visit I was there about an hour, looked at everything from prefab showers to faucets. I was the only customer in the store, yet, was never even greeted, much less offered any kind of service. Second visit, I came in with my husband. We looked at the slabs and then went back into the showroom to look at vanities. We were asked what we were there for. Let them know we were looking for 80+ inch vanities. The guy just said "that would be custom and it's double the price of that one" and pointed in the direction of the vanities. Not sure which one was "that one" but it didn't matter. I never asked the price. Just wanted to know if they had them so I could checkout the quality and the choices. Guy walked away and went about his day. Thankfully, we found a custom cabinet maker who has been great. He's finishing up a 90" vanity and two linen cabinets. We were able to pick out a slab for the vanity top and have added the stone to our shower threshold and are using the stone for sconce backings. Giving Granite Expo 2 stars as a thank you for pushing me to go elsewhere.
