5 StarsPlum Level Square is the real deal - Get Marcos if you can!…read moreWe hired Plum Level Square for the framing on our home build/reno in Northern Nevada, and they completely exceeded our expectations. When we first met Marcos, he came across as extremely friendly, professional, and straightforward--no sales fluff, just honest talk about the project. That immediately put us at ease. We did our due diligence and checked the references he provided. Everyone raved about him, but one gentleman's comment really stuck with us: "If you can get Marcos, you need to get him and sign him. Do not have any other framer frame your house." That turned out to be 100% accurate. Marcos and his crew were on time every single morning, left the job site cleaner than they found it, and their work was impeccable. Our home is truly "plumb, level, and square" just like the company name promises. Every wall, every corner, every detail is spot-on. We also had a general contractor overseeing the project, and he was meticulously inspecting their work daily. He couldn't stop singing Marcos's praises to us, telling us over and over how lucky we were to have him on our job. In the end, we have a rock-solid framed structure that's perfectly prepped for all the trades coming in behind them. We couldn't be happier with the quality and the entire experience. If you're building or doing a major project in Northern Nevada, do yourself a favor and book Plum Level Square--specifically Marcos if he's available. Worth every penny and then some. Highly recommend!

Marcos and his crew showed up on time and they kept the neatest worksite. Our deck is top knotch! The foundation and supports were built very well and Marcos took time to be sure he had the correct footings and tied it it our house. Another company was just going to float it on our existing concrete which we found out later was pretty thin. This crew has experience and I'm so thankful we were able to have them build our deck. 100% would hire again.

Rob (the owner), who is a 3rd generation contractor, met us promptly after our initial inquiry. Not only was his project plan comprehensive and pricing competitive but we just got a really good "member of the family" vibe from him. It's such a leap of faith to trust someone with an asset like a house but we are so glad we took that leap with Rob. The project included flooring, every inch of electrical, modified interior framing, insulation, complete kitchen, complete master bath reconfiguration, half bath refresh, sheet rock, trim, painting and the occasional psychotherapy session when we encountered a few surprises along the way. Rob was patient, kind, thorough and had a crazy eye for detail. One of the things that really set him apart from other general contractors we've worked with in the past is the quality of subcontractors (electrical, plumbing, tile, etc) and how closely he manages those critical resources. If he says countertops are going in on a Thursday, they are going in on a Thursday. On one hand, the thought of going through another remodel gives me PTSD since I'm ready to just enjoy our home without making a dozen decisions per day for several months. But on the other hand, we are going to miss seeing him so often and will make him our first (and ONLY) call when it's time for the next project.

Oh, and the door was an odd size, needed to be replaced with another working door, AND this needed to happen within the next week - no pressure. Jose and his team at Mr. Handy not only said this would be no problem, but also got to the house within an hour to measure the door and begin the process of finding a replacement. Another hour later, he said they were unable to find a new door but already searched on marketplace and found one the correct size that had been listed that morning. For once, the universe was on my side! They travelled all the way to Reno to pick this door up for me and less than 24 hours after I initially called them to inquire about this daunting chore, my family's door was safely wrapped up and in my truck and the new door was in place. These days, this kind of service just does not exist anymore. Mr. Handy has restored my faith that there ARE good people with good business practices out there.
