Unfortunately, ownership here changed and has impacted the quality and pricing of the washes. Pricing has increased a bit, but quality has dropped a lot. While it didn't take as long as usual during my latest visit, the quality of the wash just wasn't what it used to be. There were streaks on the glass, no interior glass cleaning had been done, and obvious dirt spots were left throughout the interior and all over the exterior. For a nearly $50 car wash. I expect better. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend Prestige. They still do the job, but not in a 4- or 5-star capacity. Too bad! I'll have to find a new spot to get the car washed.

Growing up, my Father and Grandfather owned and operated an APCO station in Estherville, Iowa, hence my tendency to review every gas station I come across. Gasoline is a commodity, so things like price, clean restrooms (as applicable), and convenience are my key interests in what is usually an unremarkable customer experience. Hence, a 3 Star "A-OK" rating is the most common. That's what this Pacific Gasoline Station received then and right now. I have filled up several times since the review, and what I wrote remains true today. So yesterday, I'm attending a Genoa Western Heritage Day event, look at my phone, and see that a comment had been added to my review. I've pasted it in below, and I'll have to say that it's rare to be personally attacked that way for a middle-of-the-road "A-OK" review. Looking at similar (and lower) Yelp reviews, it appears that I'm not the only one in this "owner's" crosshairs, who might not take such realistic comments well. Since this is a self-serve station and he/she isn't normally around to police customer experiences, I'll be sending knowing smiles and optimism his/her way every time I fill up. SMH. Nice little place for gas…read more. Clean... ran card at punp so didn't need to go in.. but I peeped in.. lady wasn't that friendly, turned around and walked back to vehicle. Cute little tree with pink blossoms, reminded me of Okinawa .. turned around to see stree line with a great cherry blossom trees... gorgeous.. a gentlemanchanging sign was nice. Mind you I brought the truck down two separate times, though they would be able to identify the correct size tires and wheels.. then I bring it back six months later for a tire rotation. They threw ALLl the center caps face down on the concrete, so it scratched the center caps to shit. They (Melissa and Mark) claim they care. Yet they've proved to me that is false. Take your vehicle ELSEWHERE. Unless it's a pile and you don't mind fuck ups.

Now that the weather is warmer (a lot), my drying method of just driving on the freeway after…read morewashing works a lot better. Still a little touch up spots, but way easier than hand drying with towels after using this pressure washer wash. If you wanna do this dry method, you NEED to use the "no spot" rinse option. It's right there on the dial switch where you put in the quarters. First cycle, use high pressure soap. The soap has been working better lately these days here, lots of soap and pressure. If you have any bugs, I use a spray on bug remover before putting in the quarters. Works great with the pressure soap wash. Bugs all gone, I was amazed. After you rinse with the no spot, just drive off, you might have to use windshield wipers once, and take Fairview straight to the freeway. Drive as fast as you wanna risk, and in a few miles the car will be all dry. This place is well worth the $1.50 per wash cycle! Pro tip: bring your own quarters! I never try to use those change machines that everybody complains about. I got a bag of quarters I keep in the car just for washing.

Reading reviews I see a lot of comments on waiting and the phone ringing. All I can say is it takes time to be authentic, friendly, polite and thorough.
