Because the project was small, we had experienced problems with other contractors not taking it seriously or wasting our time by always delaying the start due to other other more lucrative business opportunities presenting themselves. This didn't happen with owner Mike. Mike immediately arranged to meet with us, gave us a good quote and then slated a time to start the project which he stayed committed to! More important, we could not be more thrilled with the work. Mike was able to completely understand the aesthetic we were trying to achieve and it is evident in the superb craftmanship of the finish work. As issues came up (as they always do with projects) Mike was able to clearly articulate the problem and provide creative solutions. We especially appreciate Mike's knowledge of code since he is also a licensed home inspector. As we shared our ideas, it was comforting that he had the ability to point out issues and steer us away from anything that would violate code or potentially be unsafe. He was amazing to work with through the entire 8-month process. Mike added windows to dark rooms, moved walls and closets to open up the space, redid the plumbing and wiring, removed non-compliant wood burning stoves and installed a modern gas fireplace, completely updated the kitchen and 2.5 bathrooms, and so much more. He was incredibly easy to communicate with and always came up with creative solutions to complex problems. On top of all that, he's an extremely polite and considerate person. Everyone who comes into my house asks me who my contractor was--and I'm more than happy to recommend him.

Jeff was courteous in our meeting and agreed that he would do the repairs and send me a work order via e-mail with a cost estimate. Regrettably, Jeff did not furnish me the cost estimate at all. I waited a week for the estimate and made several phone calls and left messages on his cell phone asking if he had made the estimate yet. After a week had passed when I heard nothing from Jeff he sent me an e-mail saying he decided he couldn't do the job until next year. This was in conflict with what he told me when we met at the property a week before. i had to come 82 miles on the day we met to discuss the work needed. Jeff did not act in a professional and organized manner in this negotiation. He was not business-like and pulled the rug out from under me and made no attempt to get me satisfied. I could not recommend him as a contractor because he apparently does no employ fair business practices. Some of the qualities that stood out to me were their professionalism, communication, thoroughness and thoughtfulness. Sean was great at communicating to me what days they would be working and what projects they'd be working on those days. He gave me timelines for everything and always communicated if things were taking longer than expected. Sean's crew was absolutely fantastic at cleaning up at the end of the day. We were living in the house while they were working on it and I have kids so it was so nice to come home to a construction site that was clean and safe for my kids. The first door we ordered had arrived cracked from sitting too long in the warehouse, so we had to order another door. Sean soon had the 2nd door in and it looks great! Not long after our rental house had a pipe burst and it totally flooded the entire house. We called Sean and he was so very efficient at working with our Insurance company and taking care of everything. It involved extensive work with Sheetrock, flooring tear out, new bath and kitchen cabinets and new carpet. We were so thankful for Sean's attention to detail and his hard work ethics. When he was finished we had a brand new home! The 3rd time we called on Sean was to update our main bathroom. I wanted to keep the bathtub and it was not only the wrong color, but was badly scarred from non slip decals. He suggested Miracle Method to resurface and paint the bathtub. I was skeptical at first but after researching the procedure, we have a brand new tub.
