The workers are awesome 95% of the time, every now and then there is a substitute or new employee training who just isn't as confident in the work. They a have a good loyalty program and the vibe is always quick easy in and out with good eyebrow sharpening the end. Would recommend. They also have several other locations in the area. First off, why am I just now finding out about threading? I have been a wax gal for most of my adult life. Sejal was kind and patient as she was threading my face. It was a bit uncomfortable at first but she told me it was because I'm not used to it. As it went on it got better and within 5 minutes she was done. The workstations are clean and the prices are reasonable. Sejal offered me a cotton ball with some type of oil that helps with redness. By the time I got in the car, I couldn't tell I had just got a threading done. Will come back and support this business. This was my first time getting my eyebrow threaded and so I had no idea what to expect, but my experience here was great! I came on a random weekday night and thought I was being smart and wouldn't have to wait, but when I got there, there were already 5 people ahead of me. But the wait was not long at all, probably less than 30 minutes which I was very surprised about. When it came to my turn, Sid didn't necessarily ask me for my eyebrow shape preferences which I was a bit relieved as I did not know what shape I was looking for. She then went on to do, I guess, the shape that she believes would best suit my face and it turned out great. My eyebrows now really shape my face which is not something I thought was a big deal, but now that I have this shape, I feel like I can't go back! I will say that it is not super clean and you might need to go home and pluck some of the scraps but the shape is very neat. Overall, would definitely come back to get my eyebrows done again. And by the way, the whole process took less than 10 minutes which was so nice and it was extremely cheap too - $11 for both eyebrows. read more

I am not new to this, I am true to this and so too is Sid! I have been going to Sid for well over 5 years - when she was working for someone else in the mall. So proud of all that she has accomplished over the years and the top level of precision she has been able to maintain. Threading has been the go-to for facial hair removal for a minute and here is why: No burning of skin (with waxing you can lose a layer and the hair never grows back); no harsh chemicals; not as costly as other forms of hair removal; hair doesn't grow back as fast; no mess; and you are in and out quickly. Is it painful? Not as much as other forms of hair removal and we all know the old adage, no pain no gain. On average threading lasts for 3-4 weeks. How is this done? Well thread is used, pulled taut in order to accurately and precisely remove each hair. The space? Nice and clean with two seats to do the threading and a waiting area. The only oh no moments I've had there is when she'd bring her kids and let's say you can tell it was waay past pamper changing time. Whenever you get an eyebrow threading you get a stamp on a frequency card. Threading can also be done all over the face (lip, chin, sideburns etc.). Sid is super sweet, you just hold your closed and she does the magic. Sid gives you a custom brow to frame your face; so everyone doesn't walk out looking like a female gang member with those thin, overarched brows. You leave with natural, not overdone eyebrows. Thought I'd stop by today for brow threading because of the positive reviews. Checked their website and they're open Mondays 10-7. Drove all the way out here and they're closed. Signage on the door also says they're open Mondays. I even went to their Facebook and there's no announcement of a closure. Very disappointing. read more

I'm not sure where to begin, at the beginning I suppose ‍ She didn't wash the subway sandwich/ cigarette smoke off her hands before (I should have stopped the whole thing at that point). Once in the chair I communicated that I wanted my eyebrows to be cleaned up, natural looking and not an over processed shape... my understanding was that we were on the same page. She then had me stretch out my eyebrow area by having me pull up on my forehead and down on my eyelid. I stopped her, asked why, she grabbed my hands and placed them back to the stretch out my eyebrow position. The end result is as you expect, awful. Yes. yes. When you don't have a lot of hair and every piece counts - I need someone mainly to shape my eyebrows. In general- this is the place to go for threading. And honestly, I'm not a threading type person. But - they do it right here. There are no appointments, just walk-ins. Beware that they are sometimes packed at all hours of the day, but it's worth the 10-20m wait. It's usually pretty quick. There are also only 1-2 people on staff (Sid and her counter part). I had my eyebrows done a few times with Damberi and she does a good job. But for some reason Damberi today was rude af to me and closed and locked the door in my face. It's 2 pm and she had a post it note on the door saying she would be back in 25 minutes. She didn't time stamp it so wasn't sure when she would get back. I decided to wait around 5 minutes and I saw her coming back. I approached, smiled and said hi and she scowled at me and said that she was still on break, opened the door and then shut it and locked it right back in my face. I'm a regular at this establishment and the last time I went I was very disappointed. I entered the shop and was not greeted pleasantly by the person working. She seemed to have an attitude. She did my eyebrows and was frustrated because I wasn't placing my fingers in the correct spot. I didn't leave a tip obviously and left the shop. I returned and asked her name which she was hesitant to give me and I didn't understand her. I went to the shop on March 31, 2022 around 2:20 pm. I was desperate to get my eyebrows done, and it's always such a struggle to find a decent threading place when you relocate. Sid's had the most positive reviews in the area, so I decided to give it a try. It's easily accessible by public transportation, which is convenient for me since I don't have a car. It's only a few blocks away from the Del Mar station. She was nice, and quick, but two areas lead me to dock off a star. First, it's $9 to get your eyebrows threaded?!!!?! That is outrageously expensive, especially for a place like St. Louis where the cost of living is relatively low to compared to other cities. Most places in LA or Bay Area are only $7/8. I know it's only a dollar, but it would definitely add up since I frequent a threading salon every 3 weeks or so. Lastly, she did a phenomenal job on my right side, but didn't really make it even on my left side. I wish I had taken before and after pictures, but she flattened the arch of my left eyebrow. The tail end of my left eyebrow was a lot thicker than my right side too. I know eyebrows are sisters, not twins, but I was a bit disappointed. read more

The first time I went there, Sid did my eyebrows and I knew right away I will be coming back. The second time her daughter did it for me and it was awful. However, I got tired of doing them myself and realized for a few dollars I could have someone else do then in a third of the time. Now I'm addicted and I will never go to anywhere else but Sids! I LOVE her new location. As the previous reviewer mentioned, Sid charges less than anyone else in the area by at least 20%! She also upgraded to an iPad with a credit card attachment and at first I was dismayed because that is what I liked about her (even more than the prices) - paper receipts. At the place in the Galleria they use an iPad as well, but like many places, if you use a credit or debit card they will only give you a receipt if you give them your email address (dirty buggers!!). - Sid quickly assured me that she bought a printer to go along with her new system. So, not only is the price extremely reasonable and new place is great, she upgraded, without trying to spam my inbox. Sid is very friendly and quick; I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The parking is convenient; each time I have been there have been street spots available within a block. The location is clean and well-maintained. The shop runs a loyalty card program - after six visits, your next visit is free. A few reviewers have mentioned that her child is in the shop - that has been the case when I visited, but her daughter was sitting quietly reading in the corner, definitely not an inconvenience or a nuisance. I came in with full eyebrows that's I've been growing out for months. I left and my eyebrows where thin like spaghetti.
