New to the area and was also victim to the negative reviews that were posted for this business. I went once before and had a good experience and after this, I will not be returning. I had asked the worker who was threading my eyebrows to keep my eyebrows thick and just clean it up and it was waaay too thin when she was done. The picture below is with my eyebrows filled but it was so thin and am currently growing them out because it was the thinnest I had ever had them. Along with this, I had small cuts on both eyebrows. I am actually devastated after going here. I am Persian and have been known to have really thick eyebrows that I am usually proud of. After skipping around different eye brow threading shops (mainly for convenience sake) my eyebrows has increasingly become thinner (but usually I go to the galleria, and they mostly do a great job). However, I made it a point to grow it out for a couple months and then get them cleaned up. I stopped by "I Browse Threading" because it was the closest place near me, and I had gone here years ago and had a good experience. I 100 percent regret going here. I literally spent 5 minutes saying that I just wanted a clean up and I spent months growing them out, as I want THICK eyebrows. Rehka told me to keep coming back to her (before she even had threaded my eyebrows) and she will help me get my eyebrows to the point I wanted them to be. What did she do? Thinned my eyebrow and made them completely shapeless. My experience could have been in an SNL skit, because she literally did the opposite of what I asked. I wish I would have stopped and really noticed before I left because I would have said something. I didn't realize in full until I went to my car. Devastated. It's been over a week and I don't even want to look at myself in the mirror. Additionally, this location just does bad business. Their hours state they close till 8, but the week prior I had arrived at 7:15 pm and they were closed. I asked Rehka about this, and instead of apologizing she said that they closed because they were slow, and that having just one customer at that point would be pointless. The issue is they don't answer their phone (as I called a few times prior to going the day I actually went, and no answer; also someone called while she was threading my brows and there was no answer). So, in other words, if you want to come here later in the day closer to closing time, you may just waste gas and time, and apparently it's no one else fault but your own. If you want thin eyebrows and customer loyalty is not very important to you, this may be your place. read more

Took my sister here to get her eyebrows done for the first time ever. We were in and out in less than 15 minutes. We came in without an appointment. Luckily there was no one there. The place smelled very clean, like they had just did a once over with the Chlorox bleach before we came. It reassured me a lot to know that they thoroughly sanitized everything. The girl wiped down the chair, sat her down, and got to work. I'm so amazed by threading. Watching her in action was addicting. It's so cool how they shape eyebrows with thread. My sister said it hurt, but it was her first time and her eyebrows were thick. The change was drastic and much needed. Eyebrows cost $11, equivalent to a waxing. I would come back for myself. This is my new go to for threading! I switched from waxing to threading about a year ago. I found a great threading place in Chicago and when I moved to St. Louis I was in search of a great new place. Naturally I went to Yelp and this place came up with the best reviews. There was only one woman ahead of me and the wait was super short. The woman who works here is so sweet. I asked for two services and she was honest enough to tell me that I didn't even need the second service. My eyebrows turned out exactly how I like them. She even gives a rewards card so if you come here 9 times, you get one free! The only confusing thing about this place is that the name on the building says "Eyebrow Threading" not "I browse threading" as this listing says. read more

They used to be inside of West County Mall but got the semi-boot as another company came in and the mall leased them a 'store' instead of IB's kiosk. None you worry! They have a store now at 1054 north Ballas road (in that strip mall next door to West County, where the 5 Guys and Schnucks are). I have been going to them for a couple of years now and even though some of the procedure still hurts like heck, the results are better than anything I ever had done with wax and reasonably priced. And lasts a heck of a lot longer too! I only get my eyebrows done, but I have seen women (and some men) get their chins, cheeks, sideburns, and upper lips done. My fave person to have work on me is Christina (little thing with all the ink, a real sweetie) but any other person will do a good job on you. Just tell them what shape and how thick/thin you want your eyebrows done and let them do their string thing. Once you try it you too will be a threading fan. read more

Clean. Fast. And great at eyebrows! A full win in my book. I've been to both this and the SoCo location. I prefer the West Co one for sure! Plus Shawna works there on Wed's and she really does a great job!!!!! Hardly ever more than a 3-4 min wait. I've only had my eyebrows done at this location, but have also tried my upper lip and cheek threading elsewhere. I decided to just stick with the brows. :) I think it's less painful than waxing and doesn't leave you with a swollen /red upper eye brow. :) I say try it. At least once! read more

I have some jacked up eyebrows so it's difficult to find someone who can shape them the way I could never do. I'm very impressed with the two ladies that are always here. They're friendly and do a great job! If you haven't done threading, I would definitely recommend it over wax but that's pure preference :) They suggest coming every 3 weeks but since I'm a hairy gorilla, I have to come more often lol. read more

Taking a star off because I found a couple ( as in 5) stray hairs left, but it was no biggie - I just went home and plucked them myself. The threading technique is way better for your skin than waxing. There are no chemicals applied to your face and you don't leave with your face all red and whatnot (I have really sensitive skin). The place itself is clean and nice. I went on a Saturday at around 3 ish and there was only about 2 people there so it wasn't crowded, all the better because you don't want your person to be rushing! Absolutely love the young lady that threads my eyebrows. Sadly I cannot remember her name. I will find out. She's the only person I will go to. She works Monday - Friday from 10am - 4pm. She doesn't do a half-ass job like so many do. The only advice I have is to make sure you let her know what it is you want. Must let her know that you just want it cleaned up and not thinner. If that is what you want. Speak up instead of going home and throwing a fit. Eyebrows $11 and make sure you tip! I give her $4 or $5. They have stamp cards as well so after 9, you'll get the 10th for free! Dear Yelp, why won't you let me indent my first paragraph. Please fix that glitch! read more

So, I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for a few years and I had been doing it at the mall. The middle of the mall for all God and creation to see. I had to make sure I got up extra early so that no one would watch me getting all kinds of sassy in the middle of the mall. So, when I heard that this place opened up with a store front and no one is going to sit and stare at you wondering if they should try it too, I was in heaven. I first got to experience this location through Groupon. Side note - watch out for the deal of the day places, I've gotten a couple since my first visit. I get there, no wait. Great job, not bright red afterwards. I look like a new woman. Overall, very happy with the staff and atmosphere. I went again today, and once again great service. It's amazing how more defined your eyebrows look with threading over waxing. A+ in my book. read more

I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for a while now and once I moved to Missouri I was worried about having to find a new... everything. I decided to check this place out based on location and reviews and I wasn't too disappointed. I have been here twice now and both times I was in and out fairly quickly and left pretty satisfied. There were some imperfections though. They don't take the time to clean up the random hairs left behind, both still attached and not. I'm only giving it 4 stars because it's more expensive and not as good as the place I was going to back home. read more

This is the first time I've ever had my eyebrows threaded although for the record, I've never had them waxed either. Yeah, it's uncomfortable but I doubt that's specific to Ibrowse. My experience at Ibrowse was almost perfect. My technician was incredibly fast, precise and professional. I found the price reasonable. The only thing I might suggest for improvement is that she find a way to get rid of all the strays after she has removed them. One of those vacuums they use at barber shops, maybe? read more

Yow! Nobody told me this would be so uncomfortable. I've never had a threading or a wax, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Nobody answered the phone when I called to find out if I needed an appointment, so I just decided to show up. The place was empty and there was one attendant. She jumped up as soon as she saw me and asked, "Eyebrows?" After instructing me on holding the skin around my eyebrows taut, she commenced with her work. she was very professional and quick--I don't think I was there longer than ten minutes, including paying. I have to take a star off for lack of courtesy, since no one answered the phone, although the place was clearly not busy. Also, I am not a chatty person, but I would have liked a little more friendliness. She scarcely said a word and never smiled the entire time. The other star I take off for not even brushing the hairs off my cheeks--seriously, how hard would that be?! On the other hand, the job was quick, but only mediocre quality. My eyebrows look better than I could have made them, that's for sure, but my left eyebrow is slightly closer to the bridge of my nose than my right, which is also slightly thinner. I wish I'd noticed this at the shop! I paid $11, and added a $2.50 tip. I'm not sure I'll go back. read more

SO impressed! This was my first time for eyebrow threading and they look perfect now! I decided to get my upper lip done too. I've never even waxed my upper lip before either. While the upper lip was slightly painful because it's a sensitive area, it was over quickly and I am impressed with those results as well! I will be back again and again! I was growing my eyebrows out for my wedding in 3 days and just wanted my eyebrows cleaned up. I told the woman at the salon that I liked my shape and fullness and now I am left with pencil thin eyebrows without an arch. I didn't really get a good look at my eyebrows until I was driving home. I called the salon when I got home and complained about how my eyebrows look and the woman started arguing with me saying that she did exactly what I asked. She obviously did not, or else I wouldn't be this unhappy. Now I have to pencil my eyebrows in for my wedding, not exactly the look I was going for. read more

Very disappointed. Especially since I went there for the first time, I made a point to emphasize that I don't like my brows thin, and just to clean them up. I ended up with thin eyebrows, my natural shape completely removed. Looks terrible. All I can do now is hope that my brows will grow back. Really don't understand why it is so hard to comprehend. Who likes those think eyebrows these days? I was hoping to make this my go-to place, because it is close to work, but will never go back. Will return to my old place in Clayton. First a few good points...its easy to find, no appointment is needed, the pricing is reasonable, the process is quick and the facility is clean. I've had my brows threaded before and its less painful and messy than waxing. However, today, I walked out in tears as my brows are non-existent. I will be drawing them in for the next 2 months. If I could rate less than a star, I would. I let the technician know I was growing them out, that I liked a full brow and to not take anything off, rather, just clean them up. I have no eyebrows left and when I asked what I could have done to explain what I wanted more clearly, there was no answer. I recommended that in the future, if a client says they want thick brows it would be better to take off less, and if the client wanted more taken off, that could be addressed. But by taking off too much, there isn't a "fix" for that. Her response was, I don't understand. So, if you value your brows and don't want to draw them in for several months, do NOT go here. read more

I got my eyebrows threaded here and the lady threading them didn't see like she really cared. She rushed and was doing it really hard. I would not come back again. I found another person her name is Abbey she threads eyebrows in nail gallery and she does a great job and it doesn't hurt as much. She is so sweat. I have gone in the past and had good experiences. I have very light blonde eyebrows with lots of stray blonde hairs, but you CAN see them! Today I left with half a left eyebrow and a full right eyebrow and when I saw myself in my car mirror, I was shocked and dismayed. I went around the block and came back to tell the woman that I was missing half my eyebrow. She assured me that there was hair there and that she hadn't touched the width, which was an outright lie. She did not offer to give my money back even though thats what I asked for. She also said, "Look, there is hair there!" and there was not hair there anymore. The only thing I could say was, "Well, I do not agree that there is hair there or that it is the same width it was" and walk out. I look at my own eyebrows every day, so I would assume I know how wide they are. So now I will be drawing in the rest of my left eyebrow for the next few weeks while it grows in. Fab! At least they should stand by their services and try to get a customer back, because now they've lost one! And I wish it wasn't so, because its near my house and I generally prefer threading. read more

But over the years I felt like my eyebrows had gotten too thing so...I rocked the Grouch look for a while to let my eyebrows grow out. It took so much strength!! But I finally came here to get them shaped. OMG..the wait was less than 5 min, she listened to what I said and literallyy 10 min later I was a hot bitch. There's something about great eyebrows that just clears your face!! But yea this is my go to spot about...every month, three weeks if I'm being picky. See the way the thread is situated pulls out each strand, goes according to your natural brow line if you let them, which is way more beautiful than the average stick over a womans eye. read more

I don't know what made me decide to try threading over waxing, but I don't think I'll ever go back. I've been to this location several times, and the technician always does a wonderful job. The only down side is I've popped in a couple of times when I was waiting behind 4-5 other people and it can take awhile. I've only seen one person working even though there are two spaces. I keep driving past this place and I was always curious. I saw they got good reviews so I decided to try it today. I walked in and was seated right away. The girl explained the process since I've never been in before. She laid me back in the chair, told me to hold my eyebrow tight, and she went to work. I could definitely feel each time she pulled the hairs out but it was less painful than tweezing or waxing. The girl did a great job and even cleaned up a spot I wanted a little more. I break out horribly from eyebrow waxing so I decided to try threading and I will NEVER go back to waxing. The salon is very clean and the employees are very nice.
