DQ provided the most reasonable quote at a reasonable time. Devis was incredibly responsive, communicative, and respectful. He was reluctant to provide advice on paint colors, but it was clear we didn't like the color I picked out for my living room. After some deliberation, a new color was picked and his team repainted the living room at no extra charge. Another important detail is that I'm pretty handy myself, and most contractors I've dealt with were generally dismissive of women who know a thing or two about home repairs, tools, and the work it entails. Not Devis. He and his partners were great - they listened, considered my input, and I never felt dismissed in any way. The work took a bit longer than expected due to material shortage but the end result was beautiful. I'm absolutely going to use QD for my kitchen renovation soon. The last time we had our driveway sealed (which is a large driveway with cracks, lawn overgrowing…read morethe sides, and in places weeds growing through it) we had a company come and they did a fantastic job. They did a thorough job edging it, they filled in the cracks, and they pulled the weeds. They also charged us almost half of what Egan charged us now, though that was in 2020. That company doesn't appear to be around now, so we looked online for reviews and after getting several went with Egan. Their estimate seemed detailed enough (we had also asked for other quotes to do other things besides sealcoating) but when it came time to actually lock it in we discovered that the low number wasn't the correct number. We had to add another number too, which made the job a lot more (though still less than the others). Arranging a time to get it done took four calls spread over several days, but they finally showed up. And their work was less than spectacular. Yes, the driveway is mostly black. But they missed some spots along the edges; they didn't bother to fill in any cracks; they actually applied the tar over weeds in situ (sort of like those online pictures of highway striping crews painting right over roadkill) leaving black plants sticking up; and they didn't edge everything properly first and part of their tar was just brushed on dirt which was on top of the driveway which instantly peeled off a day later. Now, to be fair if I had to do this all myself (not a fun job) I doubt I could have done it much better. But for $1400 we expected more. In the future I will make sure the contract clearly specifies crack filling, full edging, etc. Since their quote was the lowest and most of my driveway now has sealcoat on it I can live with it. But I will likely look elsewhere next time as you get what you pay for. Maybe our previous company spoiled us with amazing service?

Thursday arrived with significant work left to be done with Friday deadline. Work was rushed from then on and the end result showed it. Paint job was terrible. Tile floor was also cobbed. Much other evidence of hurry up and finish attitude. Issues were addressed a week later after several calls and waiting around for work to be completed again. Overall a very stressful , inconvenient and unimpressive experience. Felt our little job wasn't a priority . Would not recommend this company as they seem to have too much work to handle with reliable, satisfactory work for every job taken on.

However when the job started I didn't realize Jeff wouldn't be involved much at all. Instead the Foreman running the job didn't share the same values as Jeff, He is actually a complete HACK and I would never let him in my home again. Jeff's price was by far not the cheapest but I thought it would be worth it for a job well done. Instead all the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC was done by the foreman who clearly has no business to be in that line of work. It was all done incorrectly, with many shortcuts taken. He also lied and cheated his way through every inspection process that clearly needed to be done. After many missed deadlines, a job that was estimated to take 8 weeks was stretched to over 20 weeks where I was finally forced to remove this company from the job and spend more time and money finishing with other contractors. After just a few short months I am already having issues with the work McDonald Construction performed.

Our house is difficult because our house has old-fashioned windows with eight-over-eight small panes all around, which take a lot of effort. They climbed up on the porch and the portico roof to clean hard-to-reach windows.
