I was at the private karaoke bar area for a birthday party last night. I ordered two old-fashioned drinks from the bartender. He gave me two dirty martinis. I explained that it was a mistake and we wanted to old-fashioned. He argued that that's what those were. Clearly they weren't. They are very different drinks. It became an argument, but he took a sniff of one and realized the glass was full of olive juice. He apologized and said he would remake our drinks. He did. They were OK. They were not in an old-fashioned glass and didn't have the big ice cube, but it was OK because it's a dive bar and I didn't expect that. However, I asked to close my tab and charged me $36 for the two drinks. I thought for sure that was a mistake. He said it wasn't. I argued that these drinks should not be $18 each and he said they were. I was really mad about that. It's a dive bar and dive bars don't charge more than a fine dining establishment in Vancouver or Portland. Plus I had to pay a service fee. So I didn't leave him a tip. But I'm still mad about it. Those drinks shouldn't have been more than $10 or $12. At most. That's what you pay at a nice restaurant for one of those. I'm positive if he charged me for all four drinks. My brother and girlfriend had 5 drinks and were also charged $36. Weird. One was a tequila soda and he served them Tito's and soda. I realize it was very busy and he was the only one working and could've been having a really bad night. But I don't think I should be punished and double charged. Needless to say, I definitely won't be back to this, especially if they really do charge $18 for a white trash version of an old-fashioned drink. read more

Everytime I've been here they're always out of several menu items. I like their menu, but if wit comes down to salad because the fryer is out or oven down, or out of ingredients.... I can do that myself at home. read more

I really liked the food that we got there and that the mimosa was mostly champagne was a plus! But there was only one waitress on duty (was a Sunday so that's probably why) but she did not look happy to be there and was slow even though it wasn't that busy. Also, they no longer had items I wanted to order that were on the menu because they were making a change so I was totally bummed about that too! I'll be back on another night because again, the food is good, but I'm hoping there will be a happier waitress on duty read more

Super great little bar in the Vancouver area. I have a friend that lives within walking distance so we go a few times a month. The bartenders are always friendly and helpful. They also do karaoke twice a week, on Thursday and Sunday. I may or may not be a shameless mic hog so please come down and put in a song. They have a decently sized tap list with a variety of beers from a lot of local breweries. They also have a surprisingly large selection of whiskey! A few different syrups and bitters for some interesting mixed drinks as well. I normally stick to the beer because it just goes better with the vibe of the bar, but it's something to keep in mind. They get their food from the restaurant next door. Service is prompt and they never forget about bringing it to you while it's still fresh and hot. Plus they have malt vinegar for the french fries! It's a match made in heaven and you should try it if you haven't. I will for sure be coming to this bar again in the future. read more

Fantastic bar with outstanding service! Went in last week for a drink and ended up staying for a little while. The bartender was so friendly and more than happy whip up a few special shots for me. The ice bar is awesome. Your beer stays cold and it's also just a fun part of the experience. They offer a full menu from the sports bar next door, the food is great. I think they're under the same ownership but TOTALLY different vibes if you're looking to step it up a notch in terms of ambiance. Will absolutely be back. Plus, the had 3way IPA on tap which is the best thing since sliced bread. read more

Had such a blast here! The service was awesome and I brought my clients to experience new Battle Ground. They loved it!

We came here last Friday for a late night dinner around 10pm. We were surprised by how small the place was but I loved the atmosphere and decorations. Minimal seating area. We were promptly greeted and drinks served. When the bartender/waitress came by to take the three of our dinner orders, I began and ordered an appetizer and a salad and then she just left and placed the order on their POS.... umm... my fiancé and friend wanted to order! I went up to tell them they still wanted to order food and the man, who I believe is the owner, came over to finish our order. Problem is... they weren't serving the items they wanted on the menu. After 9 or 10pm, certain menu items are not available since they are cooked next door at South Pacific. Bummer. My Waldorf salad and my friend's garden salad were huge and DELICIOUS but my fiancé's chili chips were less than mediocre, even though they were recommended. The man, who I think is the owner, was very nice and attentive but the bartender/waitress needs training. She swung by to ask how everything was and before we could answer, she was already asking the table next to us how they were doing. Anyways, I feel bad for nit-picking on a newer business but when I'm going to spend $90 on food and drinks, I expect a little more. read more

Beer is not 38 below. Hot and uncomfortable hope they fix it. Love South Pacific but this place needs work before I go back.

Disappointed that during the summer especially they aren't open on Monday and Tuesday evening. I would expect a bar to be open daily.
