I came here to see a local band play. There was $5 door charge, which seemed reasonable. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the interior was clean, and there are lots of tables . I opted for a glass of cranberry juice as I'm not an alcohol drinker, and the very large size for $3.00 seemed like quite the bargain. The parking lot is BIG, but definitely needs some maintenance work based on the potholes. The stage was big, the sound system sounded good, and the stage lighting was good. So you know when you want to grab a bite because you have personal issues going on but a drunk wants to sit by you even though you are sitting far away? And the biggest issue is the bartender! All we wanted was to enjoy our being together and order dinner but instead we ended up with a very drunk person not leaving us alone! It ruined our night completely! My dad had stage 4 cancer on top of other issues so we have always enjoyed coming to the Cascade Bar but after this we won't be back A bartender who allows this behavior to ruin customers dinners is a horrible bartender! Went for a drink and dinner got the nachos. Food and drink were delicious and amazing. My only issue is I was double charged... I got my original $30 charge which was after tipping and then another charge came through for $22.86. I come to this bar so much. I love the karoake they have, and the DJ. They always play some good music. It's fun to just come and watch people vibe to karoake. They also have billiards, an outdoor smoking patio, and darts. The bartenders their provide amazing service, and always cut me off when I ask them too. They really keep their customers safe. I have had their food as well, and I am always satisfied with their menu. They also have half off appetizers during their happy hour. I find this bar affordable as well, and its a great place to go for a night out with friends, even if you don't like to sing. The live music is always something I enjoy. They have karoake Sun-Thurs starting at 9pm, and then live music from I believe local bands, on Friday and Saturday. I highly suggest this place! read more

Me and my friends have been coming here for well over five years, it is our neighborhood bar of choice. For us this is a great place to come during the day and have a delicious meal cooked by Carlos, Tina is usually the daytime bartender and she is incredible. Crystal is the manager and she is one of the kindest human beings you'll ever meet. Like all neighborhood bars you're going to get a mix of customers, I have had the opportunity to meet some really incredible people here, and there are some others that I wouldn't call my cup of tea, but I'm sure they're fine people in their own regard and probably think the same about me . The new owners are implementing a lot of great changes, and it has remained my regular go to place for years. I would highly encourage you to come check it out during the day, it's a great chance to enjoy the food and atmosphere, they have a couple pool tables that people are always using, and if you're a cigar smoker like me and my friends, this is one of the only places on the east side of Vancouver, that you can enjoy a cigar outside, and still have some protection from the rain. Smoking cigars outside during nicer weather is a no-brainer! Cascades at night is definitely a very different bar the day. I've been here several times over the years at night, way more of a party atmosphere, like I said earlier, it's not really my speed most the time, but I have had some fun nights here too, that I still remember. read more

My first thought was, "how could anybody rate this only three stars?!?" ...then I saw the menu. I suppose It isn't THAT pricey, but it also isn't one of those Happy Hour (Almost) All Day joints. The decor is perhaps classic/Northwest-Tavern (but excellent condition) although the first $5.75 10-oz margarita could have been a bit stronger... (for only 75¢ more you can get "100 Años" ) The menu is full of choices and they even have Juliano's Pizzeria 12" pizzas "Made Fresh For Us" until 12:45 AM! With 18 brews on tap and a full bar with regular live music you almost can't miss! I think I could enjoy this tavern on a regular basis. Alas, it's a bit far from home, the bus transfers (Uber fare) would get my gruff and unless that Christmas Bonus / New Year raise comes through my pocketbook just can't handle it. The most horrible experience we have ever had. Waitress was a joke, asked for catsup for our fries and she said, "when I get to it" wtf, I went to the bar and asked the bartender and she handed me it right behind the bar. I sat down to cold fries, they were so saturated in oil they were limp and of course they were served with no salt. We left and the waitress had the balls to run after us to pay for the fries. I said no, we didn't eat them, they were inedible, she said, she would call the police, I said please. We waited for 20 min in my car and we left. This was our 3rd attempt to eat there. This place is gross! Nichole is a PITA. Looks people over others when serving drinks and the owner needs to spend some money on cleaning. The bathrooms are borderline bio hazard. When I went up to buy more quarters for the pool tables, Ronnie, one of the owners told me she was going to enforce their new pool rules of two hours maximum, if someone else wanted to play pool. A little while later she comes over and tells my buddy and I we have to give up our table. She proceeds to tell my friends that it's the same people in there at the tables and that we play way too long, "it's ridiculous" she said. Who TF is she to tell me or any customer in there that what we like to do is ridiculous? Congratulations Cascade, you burned that bridge, and maybe I think putting tattoos all over your body is "ridiculous". Funny how that works, isn't it? I have never put up with that lack of respect from any business, any of my employers, or whoever, so why TF would I be expected to put up with it from them? This reminds me very much of Jim, the owner of Oscar's bar years ago, where my Brother and I used to play pool. We watched him power trip on people, until he went out of business. I've passed this place many times on my way to the Chinese grocery next door. It always looked like a drab, uninteresting bar. But, one day I was on a search for a decent burger and beer somewhere in the Couve, so I decided to give this place a try and it was surprisingly good! It was definitely divey, but the interior is much nicer than the outside with pool tables and a dj booth. They have karaoke Sun - Wed and bands Thu - Sat with ladies night on Wed. I was there on a Tuesday, so there were a few people singing (very loud) karaoke. The beer selection was ok; we got a Boneyard RPM, a Shadow Ninja, and a Ninkasi IPA. For food, we got a burger and a Reuben. The Reuben was pretty good and the burger, while ordered medium, came back more of a medium-well, but it was charred properly (not the burnt or grey puck I have seen in so many other bars). It was a better burger than most bars I've been to in the Portland-Vancouver region. Although I did feel a tad out of place on a Tuesday, I will probably be back if I need a burger and a beer. read more

This may not be an accurate measurement of their service considering that all we ordered was drinks and we arrived after midnight. It was definitely a dive bar. It wasn't bad though, the service was a little slow but not bad. They had a live cover band that was awesome! Also, pool, pin ball and a fire pit outside which was cozy.
