Been coming here for a couple years. Consistently for wing Wednesdays, I was so addicted I couldn't stop! Had to have them every week! But my review is based of the last month or so. They got rid of their very best bartender/server TEDDY. Him and the cook were the only reason we came back week after week. Then they were out of the best flavors for 3 weeks running. I finally give them one more shot- girl is working alone obviously overwhelmed, got a new cook, wings were RAW. Sauce wasnt even close to the same. Table next to us, same thing. They did comp all of our wings but WOW. Overpriced. Overworked. & undercooked? I'm heartbroken but we won't be back for AWHILE! I want the old Smeads back. Is it Poor owners? Management? Place could also use a professional clean (coming from a professional cleaner) and maybe some ant traps near the booths. Ugh. read more

BEST MOZZARELLA STICKS EVER!! Celebrated a birthday here and received such awesome service! Not only were the drinks good but so was the food. We enjoyed Queso & Chips which was pretty good. The "Cheese Sticks" were breaded nicely, were super hot and cheesy when served. They came with marinara sauce and ranch! Loads of parking available, great atmosphere and environment as well. Who knew a little dive bar would have such good breakfast? It's only open for breakfast in the weekends. This is now our favorite local breakfast spot in east Clark county/Washougal area. All the food is good, but the Monte Cristo is my favorite from the breakfast menu, followed by the breakfast croissant. First off, the owner is lovely and the food is amazing for a bar. Great selection of beer, booze and other items. But.... we have stopped going because of the server, Richelle. I know it's hard to find decent help but she is so so rude and the worst server. If you have a penis, you will get great service. If you lack one, be prepared to belly up to the bar for refills or any kind of service. Richelle is bitchy when she comes to the table and I don't think I've ever seen her smile. Her entire attitude sucks. I hope the owner can find some better help soon. I've heard many other customers complain about her, as well. read more

After too many years of the brewpubs in the downtown Camas area... Each one has something to offer, but I am so tired of those places... Rummaging through Yelp I came across Smeads. So it's true - on the surface they look like a lumber town dive bar and truth is - this isn't a downtown PDX beards and beer crowd, but... I first came three nights ago and have come back every night since. They have an absolutely solid selection of IPAs, the food is pretty good and look over their daily specials - $4.50 pints of micros? $1 Tacos? Bar staff is friendly, thoughtful, great. And remember table service? They do that here... It's worth the extra 5 minute drive. read more

55" TV ... World Series ... Dodgers ... 50 Cent Tacos ... HOOAH! Crystal was our bartender/server and was very attentive, friendly and helpful. $4 margarita specials and a pretty good IPA got us off to a good start while watching Game #1 of the 2017 World Series (AKA Dodgers Win!) We came to try their Taco Tuesday, but I decided to have the Chili Burger with Fries Special ($10) instead. The burger and chili were very good with plenty o' onions and cheddar cheese. The fries, a basket, were hot, crispy (not burnt) and scrummy. Taco Tuesdays gets you two tacos for $1 all night. The tacos are in pre-fab shells, but the meat was good and the lettuce, cheese, salsa and sour cream fresh. Whaddya want for 50 cents for cryin' out loud? We returned for their Thursday night Prime Rib Special (starting at 6PM) - $15 for salad, roll, prime rib (10-12 ounces) with baked potato (add $1.50 for "loaded"), au jus, horseradish sauce, thufferin' thucatash, and dessert (I had the cheesecake). Without a doubt, it was the best $15 prime rib dinner i have had (ever) and as good if not better than many you will find at twice the price. My wife had the Monte Cristo ($11 plus $2 for fries vice chips/potato salad) and was pleased, not thrilled, with the outcome. We live near Smeads so when they first opened we were excited to try them out. At first they were good. Typical bar food, etc. Then we just started coming for taco Tuesday because we knew at least those were good. Hubby drinks beer so that's not an issue but I like mixed drinks and wine. Never could count on my margarita being made the same way. Even by the same person. Now I order a Paloma or wine. We are here to watch the Rose bowl. It's freezing cold in here (I heard someone else complain about it as well). One bartender and the cook didn't get in til 3:30. Sent my nachos back once because they were cold. It's not even a comfortable environment to come to for drinks and a game because of the freezing temps indoors. Sticking to taco Tuesday only from now on. read more

Really great place! We two rookies went with two wily veterans of this scene. Enjoyed Taco Tuesday, but had much more than yummy tacos. Nice House Salad, Chili Cheese Fries, Bacon Potato Skins, and strong drinks made for a full dinner. Me? Although there is also a wide selection of draft beer, I went Old School, and sucked up a couple pints of Rainier on tap! 7/25/2016 Made our "once every six months or so" back to Smeads, had a good time and like that they've added more local beer and ciders. Staff is always very nice and attentive and food is very good for a dive bar. For some reason this seems to be the loudest bar we've ever been to. Showed up around 5pm on a weekday to grab a quick drink and the customers at the bar, for some reason were almost yell-talking. It was the loudest conversation I've ever heard between three people. I think as their beers flowed the voices erupted and they felt like they had to damn near yell at each other in order to be heard. Thank goodness they left after 10 minutes, although they were very nice but after a while it gets a bit over the top. It's really a nice place and the locals are also very nice for the most part. read more

This bar used to be a country dive bar of the worst kind, Now it is one of the best bars in Camas Washougal. They let you sing songs on most nights of the week. There is only one pool table, this can be bad if you like to play pool. But this place has come a long way and with the new owner it seems to be doing way better than before. No pinball's and beer prices are a bit high, other than that this bar is great. read more

Decent pub food, iffy service depends on the night really, but reasonably priced all around both drinks and food. Good spot for a quick bite and beer but we don't bother if the lots pretty full. They usually have trouble keeping up with a full house, a bit understaffed and the music is usually a bit too loud when they are busy making it very difficult to hear or chat with your company. Also seems to make it hard for the wait staff to hear your order. Hit and miss at best. read more

I love little local bars. I think they tend to have the best service. Smeads isn't far from where we live and I can't tell you how many times we have stopped in on our way home just for a drunk and a good laugh. The staff is always very welcoming and kind. Not a ton of beer options, but that's ok. The mixed drinks are made very well and always taste good. At times you might even be able to get a delicious jello shot. There is a pool table in the side area. Bathrooms are always clean and stocked with great things such as hair spray, lotion, etc. Wanna karaoke? Well this is the place to do it. The whole bar gets involved and is such a good time. On the weekend they are open 24hrs. You can't drink from 2-6am but their breakfast is awesome. Love the hashbrown. Plenty of places to park.
