We came here for a concert and the venue was pretty nice. It felt like a giant school. We were kind of annoyed because we were sitting in the corner and the security told us we weren't allowed to sit there, but no one moved except us in a couple people and the security card didn't even enforce it so we lost our seats.

What a cool spot!!! This is such a cool venue and I love how they restored the school into something that is being used as a third space for so many people. A great music venue that offers options for food and beverages. Also a unique spot for dogs and humans alike. Can't go wrong coming here on a sunny day with your four legged friend, soaking up some vitamin D and enjoying a nice adult beverage. No complaints here!

Revolution Hall is a cool venue, it is the auditorium of an old high school. The entrance is in a weird spot, you enter from SE Stark Street. There are many levels to the venue. You go up a flight to get to the entrance/ground floor and if you have a seat in the balcony you go up another set of stairs. There is a bar on the ground floor, they had pizza for sale when I went. I had a seat in the balcony, I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. The sound was good and the staff were nice. There is a small parking lot right next to the venue.

Concert: Tank & the Bangas Pros: The artist was amazing A+! They were so engaging, fun, vibrant, and entertaining. The venue location is dope and they even had the air-condition on lol! Cons: the venue has to do something about the sound. Specifically, you can never really hear the artist they always sound so drowned out. Its always like this every time I come to the venue.

This was my first time at Revolution Hall which was pretty amazing from start to finish. I was expecting... I really don't know what I was expecting but I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and easy to navigate the space is. It's appreciated when I don't feel like I need an instruction manual or am overwhelmed and confused trying to navigate a space or just trying to get in a door. This happens at a disturbing number of spaces and I am ADA so that gets pretty exhausting. I was very hyped to see Tangerine Dream since I was born in the 70s. Some of my favorite music was written and performed by Tangerine Dream such as Risky Business - Talk about a sexy piece of music. The movie Thief, genuinely that entire soundtrack is just, well, it makes the movie... it really does. You can't breathe, it's so good. Tangerine Dream was amazing and my seat was perfection - they have a great ADA section and I had it completely to myself! The vibe of the space is pretty great and the sound was incredible. seating looks pretty great from where I was sitting and seeing the crowd. I look forward to more shows here.

Got to see a live recording of one of my favorite comedy podcasts, Comedy Bang Bang on 8/16/24 at Revolution Hall, Portland, OR (not generally a fan of the venue personally). Been a fan of Scott Aukerman (the host) and Paul F Tompkins (frequent guest) for almost three decades, but the other guests were all a surprise. So it was exciting to see the very talented Ego Nwadim (one of my favorite CBB guests - she's known for being on SNL, but I've never seen her work on there). All of the guests were great however. It was a lot of fun, a lot of laughs. Our tiny cramped seats were in the very back (see pic of stage far away), and at the last minute they had some seats available in the front and let us folks in the back two rows take them. Not only were the seats in the back smaller, but there wasnt much leg room, it was very hot, and the seats were very uncomfortable. A few minutes in, before it even started, and my big body wanted to leave. Thankfully through an act of God, they moved us up front, where for some reason it was cooler (temperature wise), with more leg room, and bigger / more comfortable seats (see pic of stage close up). Comedians from left to right: Lisa Gilroy, Scott Aukerman, Will Hines, Ego Nwadim, and Paul F. Tompkins (Scott and Paul got their start on the classic "Mr. Show", one of my all time favorite sketch comedy shows...)...

We went to revolution hall on suggestion of my newly 21 year old niece. She wanted to show us a rooftop bar. It was cool. The views of the city were amazing. The roof top is open seating, the encourage everyone to share the table space, family style. We didn't get any food, but to get some you had to go down to the first floor to order it and bring it to the roof top.

Ok....4.6 stars. Awesome venue for shows and events. Saw Al Franken there, the other night. Bought the tickets quite some time ago and then heard that the place was under construction Our seats were good but they don't have cup holders or any place to put your beverage, unless you're under the very end of the row. We also thought that the seats could have been wider. Really good sound system. They also had a very well stocked bar close by. Nice place all in all.

This was an old high school? They sure don't build them like they used to! I would have loved to attend a school like this! I had no idea what to expect from Revolution Hall. I was vaguely aware of it as an event venue, but that was the limit of my knowledge. When we arrived to watch one of our favorite stand up comedians (Mark Normand, for the curious), we were treated to some pleasant surprises, in the form of multiple bars (at least one on each floor, including the roof!), a spacious theater and a (conversely) cramped auditorium, and classrooms converted into office spaces for local businesses, small and large. The theater itself lies in the center of the building, with every other occupied space orbiting around it, in side rooms, on every floor. The staff were surprisingly helpful in describing the layout, which bars were open, and guiding us to our seats. You're able to bring purchased food and beverages into the theater, too, which wasn't immediately obvious. Very McMenamins-y, if a bit less aesthetic. Cool venue, though. I'm looking forward to future events here. Comedy!

Are dogs allowed in rooftop deck?

How do I get a refund for a show that was abruptly cancelled due to covid? I did NOT purchase etickets so none of the information on your website is helpful. I have tried emailing, calling and night of tried to get a refund at the box office.

hopefully you figured this one out. The info should be on your ticket or on the site your purchased it at.

What are the "obstructed view" seats like at Rev Hall? Ok for a comedy show? How "obstructed" are they?

Is the auditorium seated or standing? What's the best way to get a seat?

Depends on the venue but ours was all seating. Call and ask them directly for your show.

Do they still charge a service fee if you buy tix on site at the box office?

There is still a service fee when you purchase tickets at the box office, though it is less than when you purchase online. Typically you save $2-4 per ticket depending on the face value by buying in-person at the box office.… Read more

Does the venue get pretty warm in the balcony?

Our HVAC system was brand new when the building was remodeled in 2014. We do our best to keep the room as comfortable to all possible, but it can get warm on nights when the band is rocking and the room is full.

Is there any table or chairs to sit in the General floor area?

There are chairs like you would find in an old school gymnasium

"Dam Good Whiskey!" -- A Beaver's Review of Westward Distillery…read more Well chew my bark and call me industrious--Westward Distillery has crafted a whiskey so fine it made my tail thump like a drum on spring thaw! I waddled in skeptical. After all, we beavers know a thing or two about craftsmanship: sharp teeth, strong wood, steady paws. But the moment those folks poured me a sample of their American Single Malt, I realized I was in the presence of fellow artisans--humans who build with barley the way I build with birch. The aroma? Like sniffing a warm cedar log at sunset, with a hint of orchard fruit drifting downstream. The taste? Smooth as a freshly planed maple branch, with a delicious grain character that made me contemplate abandoning dam construction to pursue professional sipping full-time. The finish? Long, warm, and rich--lingering like the satisfaction of placing the final stick on a perfectly engineered lodge roof. And don't get me started on the place itself. The distillery is polished, welcoming, and smells pleasantly of oak instead of predators. The staff? Delightful! Not one of them tried to trap me, and they spoke about their whiskey with the passion of creatures who truly love their craft. Westward, my whiskered friends, you have built something remarkable. If I had opposable thumbs, I'd raise a glass. Instead, I'll slap my tail in tribute: THWAP THWAP THWAP! That's beaver for "EXQUISITE WORK, KEEP IT UP."
