A warm welcome as soon as I open the door! And a comfortable seating area to boot. Being that is was my first time there, a lovely woman gave me a full tour of the facilities. They've achieved a great balance of modern, clean, and comfortable. After the grand tour, she offered me a sit in the relaxation room (with massage chair), while I wait for my room to be ready. Once seated in my room, Dr. Solomon promptly came in and greeted me. He gave me a thorough inspection, followed with x-rays. Super friendly, professional, and totally not abrasive. After my given my dental plan, a really friendly hygienist performed my cleaning. I was out the door in under an hour. Oh, and she suggested to bring in headphones to listen to music while you get worked on. Novel idea. I don't enjoy writing bad reviews, but by god, people, what does a girl have to do to find a good dentist in this town? I've gone through a lot of bad apples and this was one of them. Like many other reviewers, I felt like this place was designed for one thing, and one thing only: to clean out my bank account and clean it out fast. Car salesmen could learn a thing or two from these guys. "Fishy" is correct and they will take you hook, line and sinker if you let them. I just came in for a routine check-up and a cleaning. They did the old "measuring my pockets" by calling out numbers. There is really no need for them to announce these out loud (and particularly in the tone that they do it in, "Oh, another 3, tsk, tsk."), other than to freak you out and set you up for the next step. The next step being that I was told I had periodontitis, for which I needed an extremely expensive treatment with some sort of powder (2000 dollar magic powder!). Apparently one of their favorite little cash cows, because I heard from some other people that they tried to get them to have the same treatment done. Some actually fell for it. Ka-ching! The lady that was pushing this on me actually said that this was basically the same as having cancer. Nice, huh? Really put a spring in my step. Needless to say I got the hell out of there. Went to a different dentist the very same week, who did not mention a thing about my so-called periodontitis. And I'm still alive and have all my teeth. Never experienced any of the symptoms of periodontitis either. Never even had my gums bleed. Ever! I would be very careful when dealing with these guys. They are very pushy. They tried to do the procedure right away. Without me even having agreed to it, they came running in with all the supplies and wanted to do it immediately to overwhelm me, so I wouldn't say no. Very sneaky. They also tried to push braces, whitening and veneers on me. But the worst thing I feel is that they tried to make me feel like I had a serious disease that I did not even have, only to make money off of me. Highly non-ethical. Ever heard of the Hippocratic Oath?? They also claim to take HMO, but when it comes down to it, they do not honor those fees at all and having the procedures done would have cost me just as much as having them done without insurance. read more

Deceptive and Poor Customer Service. When I first called I told them I only wanted "A cleaning": I used to always go into my dentist in NY for only a cleaning. After calling 2 dentists who refused to only do a cleaning, this office agreed to only do a cleaning. Came in filled out "Reason Why You are here": "Cleaning only". Got in the chair and the assistant told me they needed to take x-rays. I told her I was here for "Only a Cleaning". She told me that I would get the cleaning, but they needed to take x-rays first. The next thing I know the dentist shows up and I ask him what he is doing and he told me "an exam". I told him I was there for only a cleaning and he told me I would get the cleaning after the exam. I used to go to this dentist when I was a UCLA student. Every time I went, they always tried to sell me something, whether it was Invisalign braces or teeth bleaching, while still in the chair getting an exam. Moreover, they don't even offer amalgam fillings, which is the only type most insurance will fully cover. Their work is pretty bad too. I just had an exam with a different dentist this morning. It turns out that a resin filling Dr. Solomon made for me in 2005 has come loose, and now I have to have a root canal to save the tooth underneath! Don't let the spa-like feel of the lobby trick you; this is a poor quality dentist! read more

I had a great experience in office of Dr. Solomon! I had an awful wisdom tooth pain so referred by a friend U went there. I haven`t received my insurance ID card by the time of the appointment - I had just number - so a very friendly reception person (His name is Naird if I am not mistaken) helped me with calling and being on hold with my insurance while I got a great cleaning. Unfortunately, my problem was beyond the dentist office - I needed a surgery - so I haven`t had a chance to experience Dr. Solomon`s practice personally, but his team took great care of me and scheduled the appointment at the surgeon`s office the same day!!!! Well. I love yelp, but thought this one was a miss. I will not go back to this dentist. I've recently moved to LA, needed a dentist. Dr. Solomon was fairly close and took my insurance. I went for a cleaning today. They were nice and the receptionist was very friendly. The hygienist took a look at my teeth and called out some numbers. It's been a year since my last cleaning, and didn't think my teeth were so bad. However, the receptionist came back to me and asked me to sign this paper and said the cleaning would be $75. I was like, routine cleaning are covered by my insurance. She said, that because I needed a "deep" cleaning that would be extra. She said the "basic" cleaning is really only for kids who have perfect teeth. I wasn't sure. There was also this "rinse" they tried to include but I told them I didn't want the rinse, and wasn't sure about the "deep" cleaning. I almost walked out, because I felt it was a little off. But was like, "I'm already here and I need a cleaning." So I signed the form. The hygienist came back, started the cleaning. I would have thought the "deep" cleaning would last a little longer. She spent 15 minutes on me and then was done. I was like, "really??" After taking running my tongue over my teeth, I was really annoyed. After a cleaning, you should pretty much feel smooth. Especially after a "deep" cleaning. My teeth weren't smooth. This deep cleaning was not nearly as thorough as some of the "basic" cleanings I've gotten in the past. I feel like I was taken advantage of and even though they take my insurance (blue shield)...they really don't. Hence, the need for a "deep" cleaning instead of a basic. read more

Wilma is one of the best hygienists that I've had, very friendly and thoughtful about anticipating any discomfort that I might experience. Dr. Solomon is always great to see, and I feel confidence in his ability to keep my teeth healthy and looking great. When I first started coming to this office several years ago, the organization was a bit off, but since Nader has started managing the front side of things, I always feel well cared for. Like any dentist office, Dr Solomon and his staff will let you know about the range of services that can improve your health or look, but I appreciate the fact that Nader always goes over the cost of everything clearly. Similar to a few of the other reviews I've read, I had a horrific experience with the receptionist at this office. I too was assigned to CCIND by my insurance provider, and called yesterday to try to make an appointment, as my wisdom tooth has come in and is causing me constant pain. The receptionist I spoke with indicated that there was no record of me being assigned to their office, and that I'd need to have my insurance provider fax over proof. I told her I would have that taken care of immediately, and asked if it would be possible to just have the dentist write me a referral to the oral surgeon since my situation is so urgent. She advised that this is against policy in their office, and that I'd need to come in and have x-rays taken first, but that she wasn't even sure when she could get me in. At this point I pleaded with her to please understand the pain I was in and try to help me a little by looking at her books to see when I might be able to get in (with the understanding that I would have proof faxed over that I am, indeed, on their roster). She told me she could not look at her appointment book until she verified that I was a patient. I proposed that, to make the process easier, she take down my name and phone number, I would call my insurance provider and have them fax over documentation, and once she received the proof she needed, she call me back to schedule my appointment. Her response: until you're on my roster, I have no relationship with you. Suffice it to say, I told her I do not want her office providing my dental care, and I hung up. No thanks. read more

I juat got my two crowns installed. I also had another one installed 2 weeks ago, so it gives me a total of 3 crowns. It has been great here. The doctor is very professional and friendly. Dr. Sid is also very experienced. I went to another dentist, telling me that I need to take one broken tooth away and get an implant. The very next day, I went to dr. Sid's office. the worst part about this place. THEY TRY TO SELL YOU SERVICES and they are super pushy about it!!! As I was paying for the veneer I just got, they kept telling me I needed a cleaning. Being the pushover I am, I let them convince me and scheduled an appointment for teeth cleaning. I tried to cancel this appointment and reschedule but they tried to charge me $50!!! They were extremely rigid and showed no compassion about this, I got into a big argument on the phone with the front desk lady. Everyone at this establishment is creating a bad name for all of dentistry. The bad reviews are true, they tried to sell me a $800 dollar cleaning with the antibiotic injections, water treatments, etc, and then tried to make me feel bad when I thought they were crazy. Sells pitch after sells pitch followed. Even told me I needed braces after I finished my orthodontics with someone who was actually trained and board certified in orthodontics. My teeth are as straight as an arrow...what was that dentist talking about. Do yourself a favor and just go the UCLA faculty dental offices especially if you just need a cleaning or check up. This dentist has changed his practice so many times over the years, "DENTAL HEALTH CARE, OFFICE OF Seid SOLEIMANIAN, DDS, then SID SOLOMON, DDS, INC., then SMILE BRIGHT DENTAL, OFFICE OF SID SOLOMON, DDS, INC., and finally CENTER FOR COSMETIC, IMPLANT AND NEUROMUSCULAR." Yep, he comes from a family of crooks, his brother is "Mr. ticket" himself, Amir Soleimanian, then there is Hamid Soleimanian (bankruptcy attorney), and Bobby Soleiman (dentist)...all constantly having the same problem with their customers. Coincidence? I think NOT....Please also stay away from Dr. Shakib's office at Cosmetic Dental of Westwood (something fishy with how similar their negative reviews are). So why is it that he needs to change his business title every few years? Because people start catching on about what a scam this establishment is, then they delete all their bad reviews and try to start fresh with a new gimmick. All of the positive reviews are fake, by friends, and by relatives. His wife is the one commenting on all these posts, saying these bad reviews are unreasonable. If you go to citysearch, and look at the positive reviewers..you start to see a pattern of the same places that all of these reviewers make positive comments about (not to mention days apart for services in different parts of the country)..conclusion...these people are actually buying positive reviews. Can't trust anything. C'mon a few years ago this guy wasn't doing botox, or TMJ. Really he is only a trained "general dentist". He does a few two-three day seminars at some crapshoot center in Las Vegas and now becomes an expert in everything...please. He is not trained to do implants or any of this stuff. TMJ comes from stress, you grind your teeth, then the pressure you put on your masseter muscle (chewing muscle). This pressure is then transferred to your temples and back of the neck....Not rocket science. So either stop stressing out, or two get some botox in your chewing muscles so they aren't powerful enough to grind your teeth at night. Please though, don't go see this guy...how about Alexander Rivkin, MD...now he's an expert. On top of all of this, this dentist who supposedly has hours in Westwood all day everyday, is also at Dental Wellness in West Hills (reviews talk about the same negative baloney), and calm dental in Los Angeles. A professional and welcoming staff! Setting up the appointment with Fay was easy and quick as she was very sweet on the phone. This was my first time getting my teeth whitened professionally and I can't stop smiling now. I came in and filled out some paperwork before my appointment. Welma was the one who did my teeth whitening and was very thorough and explained the entire process. Dr. Solomon also came in to introduce himself which I thought was really nice, he seemed very easygoing and professional. He gave a brief introduction to the process and assured me my teeth won't glow in the dark, whew! The process took about three 15 minute sessions and is pretty much painless, it does require your patience though! You can't move too much during the process, no phones either so it was a good way for me to just take a nap. Welma was nice to leave behind a bell to ring in case I needed anything. I liked how they compared the current color of my tooth to match their set of shades of color they have, and you can compare it afterwards to see how much whiter it got. I improved by 4 shades with visible difference! Keep in mind my teeth is sensitive so I did receive higher sensitivity pains afterwards, nothing like some ibuprofen can't fix. You can't drink any colored water/foods for the remaining of the day. Also, it might be best to not drink super hot or cold beverages for those who have a little more sensitive teeth. The next day I had no more sensitivity and can enjoy my pearly whites. The whole process takes about 1 hr 15 minutes and leave time for filling out paperwork beforehand. The office is conveniently located close to work with plenty of street parking and behind their office. Dr. Solomon also has offices in Thousand Oaks and West Hills. Overall, a really friendly and warm staff in a nice facilities and convenient location. read more

Dr. Solomon truly brought me back to life. I had daily debilitating headaches, up to 10 headaches per day, for over a year which severely lowered my life quality and made every day a challenge to get through, especially being an active college student. I went to 10 different neurologists or other doctors only to be misdiagnosed and prescribed everything from antidepressants to muscle relaxers, none of which helped my condition. Luckily, I came across TMJ as a possible cause of the headaches. After consulting with Dr. Solomon as the leading TMJ specialist in the LA area, he diagnosed that the cause of the headaches was probably a misaligned jaw from when I had braces in my childhood. I started wearing the orthosis, which decreased the amount of headaches. I then went on to Invisalign, which made the headaches go away completely in a few months. It is amazing how accurately Dr. Solomon diagnosed me and knew the steps for how to treat the condition. It really makes you feel like you're in someone's home. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming, and they processed me in quickly. The service and quality of this establishment is really unparalleled. I've been to several dentists' offices in my lifetime Just this year alone I've been four times because of my wisdom teeth. I came to CCIND for several reasons:whitening, cleaning and TMJ. I hadn't gotten my teeth whitened and cleaned in a long time. So I with was nice to pamper my teeth for once. The procedure took about an hour and half. They didn't make me wait in the waiting room and I was seen right away!!!!!!!!! I really hate that other dentists schedule appointments and then make you wait. But CCIND even called me the night before to confirm my appointment. The paperwork was quick and they even took a photo so they could remember my face. I thought. It was a nice personal touch. Pro: There is parking in the back!!!! LA is notorious for traffic and lack of parking; so I really appreciate when establishments have parking spots available. Super friendly (almost family like staff) Very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions with patience and care Very organized filing system (This appeals to the teacher in me) They let you watch movies on their google glasses during the whitening so you don't need to stare at the wall of an hour. I went elsewhere and found out that the tooth giving me pain had such a bad cavity that I may need a root canal--HOW COULD HE HAVE MISSED THAT?? Highly recommend for people with TMJ. Dr. Solomon really understands this problem. His solution is smart and does not need surgery. The orthosis really worked for me and I am much better over all. I am an independent contractor who researched online trying to find a new reputable dentist that carries my new insurance based on yelp reviewers. I took some time researching and the first place I went looked like I was in a 3rd world country when I was actually in Hollywood; I am very open minded and appreciate new cultures and adventures, but if I am going to see a dentist for a cleaning and your office is dirty, your receptionist looks like she came from high school and this is her after school job, and the smell is stale and funky, how are you to clean my mouth??? So on yelp and another DDS site I searched again and branched outside of Hollywood in West Hollywood, Bev Hills, Santa Monica and Westwood and came across Dr. Sid Solomon who not only reputable and accredited but the pictures of his office looked clean and his reviews positive. I made an appt and went in today! I was 13 minutes late, thanks to LA traffic, but the receptionist, Nadar, welcomed me and asked me to fill out paper work and once paperwork was turned in, not 5 minutes went by and I was called to the back for exams. The Dental Hygenist was warm and whether her gentle touch or the shape of the x-ray mouth insertions, but nothing was poking or probing uncomfortably for the first time of x-rays ever! Dr. Solomon came into the room to review my x-rays and discuss the next plan of action; he was friendly, alert, and appreciative of my visit! Next up, Nadar came in to discuss routine cleaning (insurance covers this) as well as a creme de la creme cleaning option that is more thorough and in depth yet also $105 more even with a new client discount. He didn't force it on me, but simply gave me an option. I had never had the additional 2 step thorough cleaning done he spoke of and I value to teeth & gums and gave the green light! OMG the best cleaning ever! I didn't want to eat the rest of the day so as to keep my mouth free of bacteria and plaque! To start, there was a numbing solution wiped along my gums, but it was intense and uncomfortable much like a colonic; however, the results were worth it! It was a good, satisfying, gain type of pain. Had I been a better flosser, there would have been less discomfort. I plan on having this deep cleaning twice a year inorder to maintain an even brighter, healthier smile! So thrilled I have found my dentist! I highly recommend Dr. Sid and his personable staff, and to upgrade your cleaning regimen! p.s. The only thing I found odd was that they didn't ask to schedule another appt 6 months out like all my other dentists in the past, which means I have to remember to make an appt as opposed to being reminded of my appt. Dr. Sid and his staff are the most welcoming and personal group of people and it's very difficult to write a review that does not speak favorably of my experience. I was assigned to this office by my insurance company. In short, besides maintenance (x-rays and cleaning) I needed a new bridge. After the preliminary work a new bridge was "installed." It fell out within a month of being placed. After apologizing, Dr. Sid "reinstalled" the piece and assured me that despite having a short tooth as one anchor and hardly any tooth as the other anchor the bridge would stay in place forever. It fell out within a year (taking a remaining sliver of tooth with it.) As of the writing of this review I have not contacted the office to express my disappointment and am currently seeking treatment with another dentist. I completed the extraction of the tooth root and am beginning the expensive process of implants (on top of the almost $4,000 that I paid to Dr. Sid's practice last year). read more

Not only is Dr. Solomon the BEST dentist/TMJ specialist I have ever been to but he also has the most kind and welcoming staff that go out of their way to make you feel special and comfortable! I've always had horrible jaw pain, headaches and everything under the sun when it comes to my TMJ. Since I was 13 I've had so many different treatments and none have worked until coming to Dr. Solomon. It's so nice to go to an office where you feel like they actually care about you and understand your pain. Since my initial TMJ treatment, I no longer have any of those horrible symptoms and I feel like I'm finally back to myself. I started going to Dr. Solomon back in April after I was hospitalized for extreme TMJ pain. I have a rare genetic condition that causes hypermobility in my body and my temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is one of the worst areas that's affected. I was seeing a specialist out in Ohio, but that just got worse and worse until I ended up in the hospital. I found out about Dr. Solomon right before I ended up in the hospital, so when I was hospitalized, my mom called to see if he had any advice to bring down the pain. Dr. Solomon spent time on the phone with my mom giving her tips (that actually worked and helped)...not a lot of doctors go the extra mile to do that! He and the staff are so friendly and really take the time to hear what's going on and to try and understand so they can help. I started my TMJ treatment with an orthotic piece that Dr. Solomon had made for me. Minor adjustments followed, but because my jaw is so hypermobile and sensitive, it's taken us a little longer than the average person to get my jaw into a good position. This last adjustment I had (yesterday), actually helped a lot and by the time I left his office, my 4-month long headache had subsided (not completely, but a significant amount)! What I appreciate most about the staff at this office is that they have such a big heart for their patients and are willing to do whatever it takes to make our quality of life better. I went to Dr. Solomon to repair 3 cavities. It was so simple and easy and absolutely pain free!!! He was amazing and gentle. I didn't feel like my face was being torn apart. I was pleasantly surprised at how caring and welcoming the staff was when I arrived! Nader greeted me right away. He took care of the insurance. I didn't have to wait to see Dr. Solomon. Dr. Solomon's team continues to impress me year after year. On a prior visit, Vilma had cleaned my teeth and was so good (!) that I was a little disappointed (temporarily) that she wasn't assigned to my recent appointment. Instead, Dr. Singh (a new-to-me dentist) handled my care. She was fabulous. She did a couple minor fillings, and an inlay. I was nervous (as is my usual nature w/ all things dental), but everyone I worked with at the office went out of their way to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. Stellar. read more

The office staff is great--very friendly and professional. The worst experience I have ever had in my 59 years of going to a Dentist. I had an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. The Doctor I met seemed nice. Then he pressured me into having x-rays after I told him I had them 6 months ago and they could get them from that dentist. Then he said they needed them to see how to clean my teeth (what?). I then told him I just finished 6 months of Chemotherapy and 31 sessions of radiation so I didnt want them. He went on to describe how little the radiation amount was. FINALLY, i just said go ahead. Then, they come back and tell me it will be $400.00 for a cleaning. WHAT? They come back again and say they could do it for $200.00. My insurance is suppose to cover two cleanings a year. I just left and will return to the Dentist I had before I had insurance. With her I know I will not be ripped off. I was dumfounded and shocked for a week after this experience.
