Very bad experience with a filling! I went back a couple times for work on it before the crown and…read moreit seriously got infected and they were slow to return my call. I suffered big time over the weekend with nerve pain after they promised they would be there for me if there are any emergencies. This started on a Tuesday and they said give it a few days as it might be sensitive after drilling. Well, it got worse very quickly and I called Friday but she did not get back to me until Sunday and the antibiotics she gave me was not strong enough. They said they did not receive the call until Saturday afternoon, well if that is true, then it would still be 16 hours to let a patient suffer with excruciating pain. When Dr. Boisvert finally seen me the following week to have a look, I felt she panicked as my jaw, neck was swollen,I had ear pain and a pounding headache so she overdosed me with 2 potent antibiotics that made me vomit for days and now that has given me tinnitus for life. The ringing in my ears is very annoying and affects my sleep. This was back in April, and I wanted to give it a fair chance to clear up but it did not so that is why I am writing a negative review for Dr. Boisvert. She is not experienced with handling emergencies; she is more of a cosmetic dentist. She is also overpriced, the most expensive. I had to see an audio specialist, ENT doctor and both of them said my tinnitus was most likely caused by overdosing of antibiotics. Another heath professional suggested I should report her to the California Board of Dentistry for the panicked overdosing and maybe I still will. I haven't done so yet as I hate complaining and writing negative documents. Eventually I got it pulled from another dentist that gave me a better antibiotic that finally helped, now I have to get an expensive implant. I think in cosmetic dentistry, she is okay, as for general, I would see someone else.

But this has been on my mind, that if he hurts someone, I will feel guilty that I did not share this information. NOTE THAT HE DOES NOT ACTUALLY DENY HIS YELLING AND SCREAMING. Instead, he says "Yelling or inappropriate communication of any kind does not align with the environment we strive to provide for our patients and team members." Of course, it does not align with an environment that anyone would "strive to provide." No professional office would openly "strive to provide "an environment where a customer/patient is treated like that. It happened. There was at least one staff member who witnessed it. Plus the screaming was so loud, people in the lobby could have easily heard it. The man completely lost control. I raised the concerns in person at the time. His response is that the concerns should have been raised at the time. They were raised at the time. I quietly raised the issue that I have already signed a contract and put down a deposit. He went into a screaming rage. Really screaming. This is hardly someone who is happy to discuss any issues. There were witnesses, at least one other staff member in the room. Then he left the room and came back minutes later, screaming again. Even with a break, he could not get under control. He came back and showed me a ridiculous interpretation that the contract said all services must be completed in 30 days. (Of course, it really said that I had 30 days to accept the contract. ) I pointed out that the services could never be completed in 30 days. He responded "But you never made a deposit". His own records show that I had made a deposit immediately. This is not a guy who is happy to discuss any issues. It is a man out of control. There was another issue. A faulty CT scan, which he told me was a reason for a delay. Delays is his big thing. So I went to UCLA Health to get another CT scan. His CT scan was wrong. I was charged approximately $250 for an incorrect CT scan. But mistakes like that are possible and understandable. It's the losing of his temper that is why I am writing this review. There were other people in the office that day. They all saw it. A man who can lose control like that must have done it other times. My concern is that anesthesia is part of his treatment. That is a serious health risk. A man who can lose his tempter...if that happens during anesthesia, you're in serious trouble. Again, I don't want to mess with a man's profession. But I would feel guilty if he hurt someone, and I had not shared this information. He should have calmed down and contacted me and this could have been cleared up.

They effortlessly made me feel so welcome when I had been fearing and putting off this procedure for years. when I disclose this next part, I need to make it immensely clear that I was undiagnosed with a connective tissue disease at the time of my procedure, which impacted my ability to stop bleeding after. This was NO fault of doctor or team. Instead, she never left us hanging. She answered all of my partners dozens of calls of concern. We even went back in very late and she took care of me for two hours in the middle of the night, just to make sure I stopped bleeding. In hindsight, I'm SO GRATEFUL because this procedure helped me get diagnosed with my connective tissue condition. Doctor took my issue so seriously and it helped push me to higher levels of care. It was her push of concern that helped me heal and will help me continue to heal for years to come!
