Let's no forget the fact I hate going to doctors in general. I had to he in pain and close to death to go to a doctor. However, every time I came to this office it was pleasant and surprisingly pain free! You don't get that a lot for going to a dentist. As I have mentioned I've been coming here for about 6 years now and I have recommended lot of colleagues and friends here. All of my referrals always liked the visits and they have been happy! I came to office today after a year for deep cleaning again! Because of my habits and lifestyle, I need to get cleaning maximum once a year! I came with my colleague today, they were amazing as they knew we were tight on schedule and time so, they started our both process at the same time and we were good time! I got my deep cleaning, all of the stains from back of my teeth were gone! I'm super happy now! All these to the side! My colleague he is super afraid of the dentist and he was super nervous! I was done before him and I was sitting next to him when they were finishing up and he was calm and he wasn't in pain or anything! Got two deep cleaning in such a short time and excellent job, super happy! I'll be back in 3 months for my regular check up!

I've been to many dentists over the course of years. Finding one that's symbiotic to your teeth…read morestrategy and oral microbiome gameplan, is a very personal process. Then you add insurance to the mix, and it becomes a challenging exercise. For me, Dr. Rostami DDS (Brentwood Dental Group) is likely one of the more qualitative dentists in Los Angeles. He has a lengthy dentistry teaching background at UCLA, he knows dentistry, and I find his knowledge and passion to project, treat, and control dental expectations, is of fine quality. He performed a filling extraction and replacement in one of my initial appointments with him, where he described the undertaking before, during, and after, like a seasoned expert in his field. Some experienced professionals just know their craft and practice so well, and they've seen and done most tooth procedures - he is of that ilk. His assistant Fery is also very capable and kind. Some might feel that some dentists/dental offices take too restrictive a stance on insurance coverage. We have to invest in our teeth! And if that means out of pocket expenditures at times, I'd encourage everyone to invite it and invoke best cost strategy to address your needs. Teeth play too critical a role in bacteria and cardiovascular health, and they impact so many bodily systems when care is disregarded. Dr. Rostami doesn't just clean teeth -- he provides oversight and care, he's excellent at diagnosing tooth challenges before they occur, he outlines best steps, he has solid colleagues to refer for additional care - and that's in addition to how well he performs his qualitative, decades-long knowledged procedures for your dental health at his location. He sets his own professional standard very high, and that proficiency means your teeth are in capable, experienced hands. In this reviewer's opinion, that's what you want in a dentist. If you want a comprehensive dentist that can outline strategy, define best methods of care, and can handle clinical needs and procedures, he's as proficient as they come. This is a passionate, quality-driven dental care practitioner. I thank him for caring as much as he does. I hope others can learn from his standard.

The dentist barely looked at me, he looked at the X-rays and told me that I have 10 cavities, that I need to extract all 4 of my wisdom teeth and that I need 1 crown. I was so confused; I had been to a different dentist a year before that, and I did not have a single cavity. I didn't even have time to ask the dentist any questions, he just left.... so I asked the receptionist some questions and she told me that she would call me with a quote. I never received a call with the quote, and I decided to just go on with my life (partially my fault for not following up). A month later, I started to feel some sensitivity, so I called the office and told them that I never received a quote and the receptionist apologized and told me that they're still waiting for my insurance to give them a quote. I waited and waited, and called them several times for a quote, I finally received a quote, and an appointment was scheduled for October (3 months after my X-rays had been taken after me following up with them multiple times). The dentist filled two cavities, and he told me that one of them is very deep and that I might need a root canal. I was in a lot of pain after that treatment; however, I did not think about it as I thought my teeth was healing from the fillings, so I decided to wait and see. It got worse by the day, and I couldn't eat any solid foods because of the pain. 6 days later, I was in such extreme pain, I couldn't even sleep. I had to schedule a root canal from a doctor that they referred me to. I went there the same day, did the root canal and paid $1695 out of pocket. They told me that my insurance didn't cover the treatment even though my insurance should cover 50% of all root canals. I called the office (Farshad Moftakhar) right after my root canal to schedule an appointment for a crown since I'm only supposed to have a temporary filling for about 2 weeks. The receptionist once again told me to wait, and that they would call me back with an appointment. I waited a couple of days and called them again since I don't want it to go past the 2-week period (mind you that I haven't been able to eat solid foods sine my first appointment with them). Once again, she told me that they would call me back. I couldn't wait any longer, so I started looking for another dentist and I found one. I had to bring my X-rays to the new office, and I asked my husband to call Pacific Dental Care/Farshad Moftakhar this time since I did not want to call them anymore. He called them and they said that they would email the X-rays. We never received anything, so my husband had to call back 3 times to follow up on the X-rays. I have never had to chase a dentist in my life, I have no idea what their issue is. My new dentist told me that I only have 4 cavities, she took amazing X rays (Which did NOT hurt at all), with a camera and set up that is 100x better/more modern than the one they have at Pacific Dental Care. They couldn't even use the X-rays from Farshad Moftakhar's office since they were not good enough. We have already started on a new treatment plan. She is amazing, caring, and super attentive. She even gave me a goodie bag and a hug after my treatment. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! They were shocked when I told them about my experience with Pacific Dental Care/ Farshad Moftakhar. The staff at the new office has called ME several times already, and they are amazing! (Pacific Dental Care/Farshad Mofthakhar has still not called me for that crown that I asked for LOL).
