He's now the only dentist I really trust for my dental work and I cannot recommend him enough! The dentist barely looked at me, he looked at the X-rays and told me that I have 10 cavities, that I need to extract all 4 of my wisdom teeth and that I need 1 crown. I was so confused; I had been to a different dentist a year before that, and I did not have a single cavity. I didn't even have time to ask the dentist any questions, he just left.... so I asked the receptionist some questions and she told me that she would call me with a quote. I never received a call with the quote, and I decided to just go on with my life (partially my fault for not following up). A month later, I started to feel some sensitivity, so I called the office and told them that I never received a quote and the receptionist apologized and told me that they're still waiting for my insurance to give them a quote. I waited and waited, and called them several times for a quote, I finally received a quote, and an appointment was scheduled for October (3 months after my X-rays had been taken after me following up with them multiple times). The dentist filled two cavities, and he told me that one of them is very deep and that I might need a root canal. I was in a lot of pain after that treatment; however, I did not think about it as I thought my teeth was healing from the fillings, so I decided to wait and see. It got worse by the day, and I couldn't eat any solid foods because of the pain. 6 days later, I was in such extreme pain, I couldn't even sleep. I had to schedule a root canal from a doctor that they referred me to. I went there the same day, did the root canal and paid $1695 out of pocket. They told me that my insurance didn't cover the treatment even though my insurance should cover 50% of all root canals. I called the office (Farshad Moftakhar) right after my root canal to schedule an appointment for a crown since I'm only supposed to have a temporary filling for about 2 weeks. The receptionist once again told me to wait, and that they would call me back with an appointment. I waited a couple of days and called them again since I don't want it to go past the 2-week period (mind you that I haven't been able to eat solid foods sine my first appointment with them). Once again, she told me that they would call me back. I couldn't wait any longer, so I started looking for another dentist and I found one. I had to bring my X-rays to the new office, and I asked my husband to call Pacific Dental Care/Farshad Moftakhar this time since I did not want to call them anymore. He called them and they said that they would email the X-rays. We never received anything, so my husband had to call back 3 times to follow up on the X-rays. I have never had to chase a dentist in my life, I have no idea what their issue is. My new dentist told me that I only have 4 cavities, she took amazing X rays (Which did NOT hurt at all), with a camera and set up that is 100x better/more modern than the one they have at Pacific Dental Care. They couldn't even use the X-rays from Farshad Moftakhar's office since they were not good enough. We have already started on a new treatment plan. She is amazing, caring, and super attentive. She even gave me a goodie bag and a hug after my treatment. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! They were shocked when I told them about my experience with Pacific Dental Care/ Farshad Moftakhar. The staff at the new office has called ME several times already, and they are amazing! (Pacific Dental Care/Farshad Mofthakhar has still not called me for that crown that I asked for LOL). DO NOT GO THERE, THEY WILL SCAM YOU!
