Vegan Cobb
Chau P.

I usually do not get a salad not am I a fan of salads, however the Vegan Cobb here is absolutely amazing. All the ingredients pair well together, and the sauce is citrus and complements it so well. It is always super busy when I come here, but service remains fast and the servers are always so nice. They have indoor and outdoors seatings so you could bring your dogs!

Waffle Supreme and Breakfast Sandwich

A great choice for breakfast/brunch. They offer variations of breakfast/brunch items and have a menu exclusive to vegan options. They also have a full coffee bar. We waited about 20 minutes on a Sunday afternoon for a table. They are quite busy so our food took awhile. Service was okay, once again they are really busy so checking in with us wasn't frequent. The food itself was good! Satisfying and delicious.

This place was pretty good, until we found a peice of cardboard in one of our entrees. I can for breakfast with a group. Service was quick, and ordering was quick as well. Even for a morning, this place was busy. We all ordered different items like the blta, ramen salad, shoshouska, pork belly Benedict, and the vegan po-boy. We all thought our items were good until the vegan po-boy had a piece of cardboard within in. They were nice about making a new one and didn't charge us for it. Although with the nice gesture, we were all disappointed to find that. Great place for vegans and gluten free guests. Plenty of street parking near by, but I can imagine getting busy during the day.

7/10. I had the Moroccan shushuka. The flavors this time didn't come through as well as my first time. The bread was phenomenal though. I recommend try but it's not the best that I've had.

Brunch!!! A long wait! Almost 30 minutes. Another 30-40 minutes after ordering to get our food! However wasn't upset by this- as everything tasted great! Picked this place because the vegetarian options! Also the entire restaurant is gluten free! I had the breakfast sandwich! So good, avocado, onion, tomato, egg, bacon, cheese! I got the hash-browns on the side! The service was really good and it's a cute spot on capital next to fieldwork and Zocalo! Located in the handle district! Give it a try!

Stopped by this spot and was immediately impressed by how clean and modern the space was. It's well-maintained, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and professional--definitely a strong point. The entire menu is gluten-free, which is a rare find and a big plus. Prices are reasonable, especially for what you're getting. I ordered the chicken sandwich. It took over 15 minutes to come out, which was surprising since the place was literally empty. When it finally arrived, it was... fine. Very bland, not much seasoning, and honestly not worth the wait. On the bright side, the food felt clean and didn't leave me feeling heavy or sluggish, which I appreciate. Overall, this place has a lot going for it--great service, a health-conscious menu, and a clean atmosphere--but they need to work on flavor.

Peanut Ramen Steak Salad

Just had a great lunch here. Fresh enough and delicious. I had the Steak Ramen Noodle Salad. The steak was flavorless but well-cooked and the salad excellent. Obviously fresh and full of veggies. My mom and sister devoured their breakfast tacos. They didn't make any obvious positive reviews, but no negative ones is always a plus. I also had an Arnold Palmer with the green tea which was great. I like their lemonade a lot! Not too sweet, and I wonder if they used a bit of stevia or monk fruit? Service was solid, although it took a while to be seated and there were many open tables. It was loud inside too. These are the downsides of braving brunch in Sac town. Definitely worth coming again as the food was yummy, healthy and the prices reasonable enough.

Vegan Spicy Crispy Rolled Tacos

I tried the vegan and non-vegan rolled tacos and both were equally delicious. I would highly recommend both of them. I got the brown sugar latte and it didn't have a strong espresso flavor so I wouldn't get that again. Service was great and it is nicely decorated inside. I would come back for sure

Overall? 5/5, good standard selection of classic dishes with gluten-free + vegan options. Indoor and outdoor seating options available. Come before 9AM Parking? Street We had: Donut holes: 5/5, gluten free with a fresh out of the oven experience, perfectly paired with coffee Bacon eggs benedict: 4/5, poached eggs were cooked perfectly, crispy bacon, wish it came with a starchy side to round out the meal Steak frites: 5/5, definitely the highlight of the morning. The steak was cooked exactly mid rare with just the right amount of seasoning. We subbed sweet potato fries that complemented the dish beautifully

The cutest brunch spot! We came here on a Saturday afternoon and there was about a 30-40 minute wait. They have a dining patio outside as well as a handful of seating indoors. It's a mix of high tables in the middle and regular tables on the side. The staff was very attentive and came to take our orders promptly. We ordered the: - eggs Benedict - side of sweet potato fries - pork belly eggs Benedict - chicken & waffle with a side of fruit -- SO GOOD. A must try. The waffles were perfect with the chicken. My small complaint about the chicken is that they were less meaty, more crisp/batter. - donut holes -- the perfect shareable; sweet, warm, doughy, and cinnamon coated. I would definitely come back here for brunch.

The family and I went to this spot after church, it was about a 30 min. Wait, which was not a problem. The food was mid just ok, to me. The service was the best part about the whole experience. Food ok, service amazing

Had brunch and it was very good. Extremely busy and we had to wait a while for the food. But worth the wait.

Cute place to grab lunch with friends with a gluten-free menu. Loved this place! Ample seating both inside and outside on a cute patio. We got the fried chicken sandwich which was solid. The chicken was juicy and the bread was gluten free! I would have liked more veggies inside though. The fries were nice and crispy and the side of ranch I asked for was made in house! The steak salad was also great - the meat was cooked to perfection and the salad itself was light yet flavorful. The cinnamon donut holes were awesome! The food did take a bit longer than expected but the staff was all very friendly and efficient themselves. I highly recommend!

After 20 or so minutes we ordered an appetizer which was delivered to another table who took it even though they said it wasn't there's, then after asking again where our appetizer was, it was again brought out to the table behind us who said that it was ours. The calamari was cold and over salted. We repeatedly had to ask for water which was never refilled. We ordered dinner and after 45 minutes and two tables who arrived after us receive their meals, our waitress came to ask my husband what he wanted on his hamburger to which he replied that he did not order a hamburger (he ordered the short rib bourguignon and I ordered the sole) and he asked where our dinner was. The waitress left, walked inside and sat down. We waited another 15 or so minutes and got up to go inside and ask where our meal was again. We were told they'd let us know in a few minutes. I have to add here that I am a Type 1 Diabetic, insulin dependent for 50 years. I had given myself my insulin for our entire meal after we received our appetizer thinking I would have timed it well to get our dinner within 20 or so minutes after getting and finishing the appetizer. Needless to say after waiting almost an hour my blood sugar started to drop and I knew I'd be in big trouble if we didn't get food soon. When we made the decision to leave the waitress told us they were busy (they were at about 20% occupancy) and they were serving reservations first (remember we had reservations? ) and that was why we were not getting our dinner. We asked for the bill to pay for what was served to us and the manager asked that our bill reflect a 50% discount after we spoke to her. The waitress brought us a bill with no discount, she said nothing to us and walked away. At this point we needed to leave immediately before I was in a severe hypoglycemia situation. A romantic date night out turned into one of the worst dinning experiences we've ever had! Strongly do not recommend to anybody and definitely not to my fellow T1D's, especially if you don't want to eat all your emergency snacks to survive passing out instead of dinner!

Complaining about prices here is like complaining about prices on the Vegas strip. Everything here will be more expensive than the lesser known places the locals frequent. That out of the way, Steamers is a great spot, and really solid for being one of the only real breakfast options in the area. There are plenty of coffee/espresso drinks in addition to alcoholic options like mimosas and irish coffee. The drinks my partner and I have had have all been quite good. They have more food options than I would expect from a counter-order cafe, ranging from various sandwiches, tacos, and burritos to full breakfast plates. All the items I've had have all been good, but nothing has stood out as being exceptional, which isn't a bad thing at all. They also have a tasty açaí bowl, although when we went the açaí mix was a bit too frozen. The service here was quite good on a busy saturday, with someone constantly wiping down tables between serving food. Customers are asked to bus their own tables, which is easy enough to do. Speaking of tables, there isn't a ton of seating inside or outside, but most people are getting food to go so it's not usually a major issue. Overall Streamers is a great breakfast/brunch choice, and the food portions are solid to quite large for the premium prices.

Forty seven dollars later we had one bagel and cream cheese spread (I'm miffed that it wasn't even cream cheese, but a cheap spread), one breakfast sandwich and two cafe lattes. That includes the CA tax of 8.75%, a convenience fee of 4% for our credit card payment and the tip. Counter ordering, food will be brought to your table if dining-in. Bus your own table. They were not wiped down during our visit so be prepared to sit at a dirty table. I think there were only two people on staff during our visit so really there was no one available to tidy the dining area. No shade on the business. Just fyi. The coffee was good, and it is available in a mug vs. paper cup for dining in which I appreciate. Outdoor seating on the boardwalk/sidewalk is a nice option, especially if you have pets or kids. Besides egg dishes, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches and bagels they also have a selection of pastry like pound cake, chocolate muffins and croissants. Many coffee drinks, hot tea, mexican sodas, coke and bottled water are also available. You need a code to access the gender neutral restroom. It was clean enough, although it does need to be aired out and/or given a serious disinfecting. Not gross, just noticable. Parking nearby at on-street metered spots or parking garage. Sidewalks are wheelchair accessible. Entrance is sidewalk level. Wheelchair access to bathroom my be tough to navigate around tables.

But props to her, she did try to stay nice, but there was an obvious difference between when she first greeted us and after she found out we had ordered some food at the bar. And then she disappeared for a while and we saw her in some heated discussion with the bar staff. Overall, we were uncomfortable with the whole situation and kept wondering whether we did something wrong. In the end, our server did eventually come back when we were almost done with the appetizers we had ordered at the bar. We ordered some more food and drinks, and tried to keep things light and make her feel better. But looking back at the situation, I feel a little cheated out on the experience, since we were made to feel pretty uncomfortable as though we did something wrong, and like we had to appease our server. If ordering food at the bar and moving to the restaurant afterwards is not appropriate, I wish it had been conveyed to us at the outset. We could have sat at the bar area, no problem. I had specifically asked about this to the hostess before going up and ordering, and the people there were all saying it was totally fine. Since our server took our order late, we ended up taking that food to go and just finished our apps and drinks. We didn't really let the experience ruin our night and we had a good time. But I'm just thinking back on the night as I'm writing the review and cringing. Pepperoni Pizza This was really, really good. I'd totally get this again. I really wan't expecting for pizza to be so good here. Definitely a keeper. Boneless Buffalo Wings I had much higher expectations for this one... Unfortunately it was sub-par. It was very buffalo sauce heavy. This is the type of wings that I would request sauce on the side.
