This is my favorite restaurant in the entire West Chase / Citrus Park area. The servers and the owners are welcoming and accommodating. When I dine at Siam Thai, I feel as if I'm "coming home"! My favorite dishes are the curries, the garlic stir-fry and the Po Tak soup. I usually order with large and tasty shrimp. When I need to cut back on carbs, I order without rice -- and Siam Thai adds lots of fresh vegetables to my dish. I enjoy treating both local and out-of-town friends to a meal at Siam Thai. Tried this Thai restaurant for dinner on a weeknight. Quiet with one server. Food and service were very good. Waitress was helpful and honest about the menu. We started with steamed pork & shrimp dumplings. They were warm and delicious. The chicken pad Thai and coconut curry entrees were very tasty. The menu is on the table under a glass. Good idea because you can refer back to it, especially for desert. I had the green tea, which comes in a small pot. They have all the popular Thai starters and dishes, including several deserts. Located in a strip mall, so parking can sometimes be tricky. The restaurant itself is very nice with plenty of seating. Service was fast and friendly. However, we were disappointed in the food. The soup lacked flavor, and the entrees were both very salty. The only thing that we enjoyed were the crab rangoons with a slight curry flavor to them. We arrived in between lunch and dinner so we are the only ones in the restaurant. The staff are super nice and very attentive. They were able to accommodate our requests. Sub broccoli for bell peppers and mixed meats in the amazing dish. We were served quickly with nice presentation. So so good - best Thai food I've had in Tampa, maybe some of the best Thai food I've ever had. The red curry was amazing - huge serving size, very flavorful, full of yummy veggies. My boyfriend also loved his Pad See Ew. We live a decent distance away but will travel for this again. Servers were so friendly and attentive, plus the place is very clean and well decorated. Another amazing meal at Siam Thai. My bride and I walked over during a Westchase windstorm and enjoyed one of our favorite restaurants in the area. We were warmly greeted and quickly seated in a corner booth. We started with the Blanket Shrimp. The shrimps were crispy and piping hot and served with a sweet/sour dipping sauce. For the entrees, we chose the Penang Curry and the Green Chicken Curry, which tasted so good on a blustery, chilly night in Tampa Bay. The vegetables were crispy and the broth seasoned to perfection. I ordered the Cashew Nut, but when it came I'm looking for the Cashew. I told the server there's something wrong here I ordered the Cashew plate but I don't see cashews. She took it back to the kitchen and they just threw the cashews on top and brought it out. It was also a little salty. read more

Wow I did not expect this place to be as good as it was! Blew me away. Very unassuming spot but man can they cook. The duck curry I had may be one of the best dishes I've had in 2023. My sister and I visited Siam the other night while she was in town. I've been here a few times and have ordered a few different things before. We were seated immediately upon walking in. The place was busy, but not loud, which is always nice. We started with a Spicy Salmon sushi roll to share which was delicious. I ordered the Chicken Katsu, which came with vegetables and a big portion of white rice. The dish was so good, and really big so I had leftovers for another meal. So I asked for HOT condiments and loaded it up with some toasted, ground Thai Chili and some Sriracha. That was better... I was even sweating a little as I finished it up. I should have asked for Nam Prik Pao... they probably had some in back. I know why restaurants do this... because they have people returning dishes because it is TOO hot. But dang it, I really like some spice, lol. I guess I need to learn about four or five languages to be able to convince them I want my food hot? I wish I had the time... Menus selection was pretty extensive, however I did missed green papaya salad that I always order in Thai places. Broad noodles were really tasty, and a good portion size. Rice with shrimp was pretty good as well. We also had spring rolls for appetizer which we enjoyed a lot. Was it a best Thai food I ever tried? We were in Tampa for a wedding and picked up some cigars from Ybor city and decided we wanted something different for dinner. We both said "Thai" at the same time! First place that came up on Yelp was this spot. When we arrived it was in a eclectic little restaurant row. There were not many people there which is a red flag for us. We call it the "121 Rule"....not sure we even call it that. But anyway, we came in and the place was really nice. The food was great! Served was quick and friendly. I had the drunken noodles with seafood (shrimp, squid and scallops) my wife stayed safe with broccoli stir fry. We did laugh at a little kid running around the restaurant...she eventually fell and cried bloody murder then she sat down the rest of the evening. Giggle. The only negative we could possibly say was it was 50 degrees on a Florida night and they had the AC blasting. It felt like a refrigerator, but all in all we recommend it! 4/5 stars read more

The service here the past few times has been hit or miss. Not bad, but not good either. We came here on a Friday around 6:30pm. We were sat right away (we have never had to wait). Three of us picked Thai food for lunch today. The restaurant is clean & in a fantastic location in Westchase. However a few oddities occurred while we were there, lol. We sat at a long table, and under the glass table top at each seat was a menu. When the waitress came by we ordered & two of us were told that what we were ordering was not available for lunch on the weekends. It turns out the menu has 2 pages. Page 1 was under the glass in front of half the table & page 2 was under glass for the other half of the table. Seriously? So I asked how we could each ever know what's on the page missing in front of us. The waitress said she could go round up some menus to hand us. I hope I'm explaining this well enough so that you see what a bizarre system they have. We each ordered our entrees & one was brought out & placed in front of my mother. My wife & I told her to begin eating, but she said she'd wait. 9 minutes later the other plates arrived. That just didn't seem right, lol. I ordered Panang Curry Chicken with vegetables. The taste was nothing incredible, but it was fine. Suddenly I bit into a piece of broccoli, & I realized I had wire in my mouth!! I spit the broccoli out & unwrapped a thin 6-inch long piece of wire. Anyway you get the idea of how our meal was going. If there hadn't been wire I probably would have given the meal 3 stars. Four stars based on the outrageously high portion size/ leftover potential. We ordered eight dishes to split amongst 10 of us. There was so much leftover that we made our whole next meal out of it. And there were still leftovers. I kid you not, we came away with at least 25 meals worth of food from those 8 dishes. We had issues mind you: my wife's tofu Pad See Ew had chicken, ruining her dinner. The curries were just a little on the bland side, as was the pad see ew. The pad Thai was the best of the bunch.
