We came here a few times last year and it was decent enough to fill that Thai craving. However, this year they have put the price up for lunch to $18.95, and the portion size is terrible for that price. This time I had the lunch which comes with soup, salad, 2 appraisers and the main meal choice. Sounds like a good deal right??! The soup and salad cone in cups so small I don't know where they found them, it was actually comical. The appraiser was a spring roll (which was good) and a shumi. The shumi app was literally one tiny dumpling the size of the tip of my thumb. Ummm.... For the main course I got the butternut squash curry and asked for it at a level 2 when she asked me how hot on a scale of 1-5. It was so hot I could not eat it. Had my partner try it and he could not either. It also came with just 3 shrimp. For $19. My partner had fried rice with chicken and apps of chicken sauté and a spring roll. He said the chicken sauté was ridiculously small and not good. I tried his rice and thought it was good, but that was the only winner in the meal for the $50 for lunch. read more

Can we adopt Jackie? Seriously the customer service was phenomenal. Jackie should teach a master class in it. This is the best restaurant I've been to in this entire state. Spoiler alert: you're not going to get lobster rolls here. What are you are going to get is authentic tasting Thai food. The curries were out of the world. The Tom Yum soup was delicious. The appetizers were all tasty as well. I'd love to go back. read more

Since Siam Sky Blue Hill was closed, we drove over to Siam Sky 2. It was well worth the journey... very good food. Thanks.

I was searching for an Asian restaurant after a hiking day at Acadia. There were not too many good options near Bar Harbor, and this place is happen to be near the cottage we stayed. I looked at the other reviews and decided to give it a try. The food was really good, and service was decent. There was only a waitress trying to serve the entire restaurant. The setting is ver nice as well. Nice clean place and not as many tourists. I love Thai food and have tried many Thai places across the country. The drunken noodle is phenomenon and very authentic in my perspective. read more

This place is so good, some of the best Thai I've found in the area. They do use thinner noodles then I'm used to for the pad see ew, I'm used to the very wide ones and these were medium wide but for this area it's the best I've had. I like it a lot more than the other place in town. read more

Had a great meal here after having to have to go to Ellsworth unexpectedly. What a great meal. I recommend the crab Rangoon. The dumplings in spicy sauce were a bit unconventional but still quite good and a good value considering you get 10 compared to the 4 crab Rangoon. Entrees were also good and the portions quite generous. I recommend the massaman curry, the panang curry and the drunken noodles. Heat levels are on a scale of 1 to 5. Level 3 was still pretty mild for us. What was disappointing is that they had no Thai iced coffee, only tea. Decor is casual but inviting. The entry door is NOT handicap accessible as it has a step up read more

Take out | Dinner | $30-50 What a terrible restaurant. I've been REGULARLY coming here for years but we can't ever come back after the experience we had. The owner was belligerent when we tried to correct and give feedback. Accused us of sabotaging the food (what??) and then lied and said we ordered maximum spicy even though we have the receipt and order details. Absolute nonsense. They burned the appetizers and dumped multiple containers of what appears to be dry chili flakes all over the food for some reason when we requested "MEDIUM" spice level. My wife is Vietnamese and I am Mediterranean and we eat extremely hot things all the time and we both found the food to be completely inedible. On top of that the restaurant over the years appears like upkeep is slipping and the quality of the food in general has gone way down hill in our opinion. Expect most of the dishes to just be slopped with oil. The prices have sky rocketed and the food quality has gone down drastically. If you want to see how belligerent and allergic to criticism the owner is please view the Yelp reviews and watch her engage with every single negative review with her own brand of venomous negativity. On conduct alone I wouldn't trust that staff to cook me food, let alone them burning it or in general producing low quality food. I'm writing this review out of general concern for my fellow Mainers as bad food sucks, but having someone make your food inedibly spicy and then verbally attacking you can be an awful experience. This can be a real concern for older customers who could actually react badly to a stranger starting an argument with them, accusing them of lying, or feeding them an inhuman amount of dried pepper. Parking: The parking lot is in extreme disrepair with one of the curbs completely destroyed. I'd worry about losing a tire if I ever came back, which I wont. Maine has a lot of small businesses who are staffed by wonderful, hardworking people who genuinely care about your experience and enjoyment. Don't let the fact that this isn't PF Changs make you blind to the poor quality service and food here. read more

Delicious, clean and elaborate menu. We opted for dine in on a busy weekend and they were able to get us seated quickly. Looking at the big portion sizes, we ordered 2 entrée and skipped the apps. Ordered a green curry (very spicy, veg) and red curry (very spicy, veg). Food was pipping hot and came out in 15 mins. The curries were very spicy exactly how I had expected them to come out. The curry came with rice portions. The veggies were well cooked and fresh. Loved every bite! Restrooms were clean and very well stocked. The interiors were also very well kept and in general very Thai + ocean themed style. Sole reason for 4 star - The server was in SO hurry of wrapping up that she almost made my husband eat up hurriedly. She also almost drove 2 customers out saying they were closed for dine in (they close at 9 and she said this at 8:35). They had to plead that they are here for take out and had called before. The server was banging chairs and vacuuming before close and right when were eating at the NEXT table!! Very unprofessional behavior by the server - mind you the manager / owner lady and the food itself was awesome but this server was literally a bad experience. read more

I spent the entire day hiking and skipped lunch, unless you can count trail mix as lunch..., so I was starving when dinner time rolled around. I love Tom Yum soup and this tasted quite good. Not too salty and the portion seemed decent sized. Couldn't decide on the entree, though ended up choosing the drunken noodles which were just as good. The portion was filling and it tasted great. Overall a great meal-- nice to have a cheaper meal (compared to Bar Harbor) and be at a restaurant not packed with tourists. read more

Well, I must say we have enjoyed the food in the past here but today was a total mess. We arrived before 2 for the lunch special , waited a while to be seated , then waited a while for service, all understandable, it happens, but then The Asian waitress was very rude told us lunch was over " LUNCH OVER " at 2:09 pm when obviously we were waiting a considerable time before 2:00 pm for service, but apparently passed the very strict the 2 pm lunch special rule. Apparently they don't need the business so we left. Sign on the door says lunch until 2:30 , how disappointing . How misleading. read more

Always delicious. The panang curry is one of the best I've ever had. A medium spice has just the right amount of heat: you can feel it and still taste the food. The fried spring rolls are also very tasty. I usually get to go - the table service has been very good when I've dined inside. The staff has always been friendly and attentive. read more

As my boyfriend: the best ability is availability. We had been driving for four hours, went into Bar Harbor and EVERYTHING was closed for the storm and were desperate. Siam Sky 2 was quite literally the only place open to sit down, so we came and were the only people inside (again there was a huge storm today) but ended up super happy! When we sat down, we were ravenously hungry and quickly ordered. I started with the crab Rangoons (which I ate so quick I didn't get a pic of) and they were incredibly delicious (loved the flavor of the filling and the crispy shell!). I also had the Siam Fried Rice with chicken and it was a MASSIVE portion and incredibly satisfying on a snowy day. My boyfriend at one of the currys and absolutely loved it. The service was so great and the guy was extremely polite and attentive, and we were so appreciative of them open during the snow day. Overall, a serendipitous find that ended up being just what we were looking for on a snowy day with great hearty food and extra kind service. read more

Best meal of the week. Wish we had tried it out earlier. Great food, especially for people who need to cleanse their palate or are bored of the bland seafood, omelets, and pastas in Elsworth/bar harbor. If you want spicy, ask for level 5/6 (out of 3) and the chef will make it for you. Great for vegetarians (and probably vegans), chef made soup without fish sauce. Large portions with generous amounts of vegis. We ordered Tom ka soup, panang chicken, massuman tofu, basil fried rice and some appetizers. Would defenitly recommend driving up from the island for dinner. read more

My wife and I have eaten at the Siam Sky location in Blue Hill at least three times and it has been very good. We tried the Ellsworth location today and were unpleasantly surprised. We split the appetizer plate and an order of beef pad Thai. The appetizers were overcooked and dry, and most, if not all of them were certainly previously frozen items that you could buy at the local Walmart. The pad Thai was simply a sticky, glutinous mess of noodles with a few scallions thrown in. Worst of all, the beef was literally gray, hard and let's just say that it was very chewy and tasteless. Our server was pleasant enough and took reasonably good care of us, but nothing special. We've both worked in restaurants in our lives and we try to be gracious and chalk it up to a bad night and maybe it was. But man, whoever was in the kitchen in our last visit needs to be better trained. read more

Stopped in while we travelled through town. Good portion sizes and decent food. The drunken noodles were very good. They had a nice smiley flavor from the wok. The Pad Thai was okay, more sweet than savory. The fried rice was good as well, just a little wet probably from using fresh steamed rice. Their spice level 5 is pretty mild. Spice 3 seemed to have no spice. read more

I have enjoyed everything I have tried. The presentation is always lovely. My new go to restaurant in Ellsworth.

This restaurant is as good as the better Thai restaurants that I've been to when I lived in NYC/NJ, which is a very competitive area for Thai. I've ordered probably a dozen times, it's always been great. The standard curries (green, red, panang, etc) are good but IMO the specialty dishes stand out even more. They also have bubble tea! read more

We were visiting and staying in Bar Harbor and wanted to get some Thai food. Although Siam Sky 2 was a good 30 minutes away, it was worth the trip. The food was fresh and tasty and seasoned nicely. We live in the Bay Area in California so we're accustomed to really good Thai food. Siam Sky 2 didn't disappoint. read more

Very friendly service and clean restaurant! Nothing to ask more when you are in a small town. Food is definitely not the best but it's decent in this area. Green Thai curry- pretty standard, just a bit too spicy even though we asked for mild Seafood fried rice- lots of seafood, mussels, shrimps, scallops and squids! Only bad thing is rice is a bit soggy Crab Rangoon- pretty good, we like it! read more

Oh my goodness! Really delicious Thai food in this little town in Maine! The crab Rangoon was rich with crab and very flavorful. The chicken satay was tender and perfectly cooked with a great peanut sauce for dipping. And the Massaman curry was fantastic with rich flavors. Highly recommend this great little place! UNEXPECTEDLY GOOD. We were looking for some Asian food to break through the seafood monotony of Bar Harbor and this Thai joint in the nearby town was super yummy, quick, and had great flavors. It was pretty empty and didn't have the ~ambiance~ of a Bar Harbor restaurant but that's exactly what provides this top notch food :) (picture is takeout we got the SECOND DAY IN A ROW which saved us from going dinnerless) read more

The best Thai food I've had in years. it will be a regular stop n every time I'm in Ellsworth.

The food is absolutely amazing but the waitress.... Not so much, she's extremely rude. I came in 45 minutes before closing and I knew exactly what I wanted and I said "may I have a table for 1?" She checked the clock and said "hmmm yeah okay I guess " and started mopping around me. I think they might be under new ownership. The other waitress they used to have, Jackie was so good read more

Delicious! Very clean, very friendly staff. Manager came out personally and made conversation with us. I ordered the Pad Thai and the Tom Yum soup, which were both excellent. I'm not from this area but given the new furniture feel and clean look this restaurant is probably new. Service and food were good and prices reasonable. Taking off one star as I had problems finding this place; google maps shows it a mile away from its actual location. This is a great little thai restaurant we stumbled across in Ellsworth, of all places. Some of the best Thai food we have ever had! We started with some appetizers- Fresh Rolls and Crab Rangoon. Both were exceptionally tasty! I also had the Chicken Satay with my luncheon special- incredibly tasty! The skewered chicken was nicely seasoned with a cumin/curry coating(most places serve unseasoned meat), which was a perfect complement to the peanut dipping sauce. For main courses, we had the Choo Chee Duck(generous portion of nicely-crisped duck, vegetables, in a delicious spicy coconut sauce. Excellent!) and the Drunken Noodle with Chicken(stir-fried rice noodles, basil and vegetables in a brown sauce- incredibly tasty and maybe my favorite selection (our daughter had the tofu version and loved it!). We also tried the Chicken Pad Thai, which was very good, but maybe a bit sweet for our taste( the owner said she could tone that down on request). All in all, an excellent and memorable meal, which means we'll be back! read more

Excellent and authentic food and kind service even with an extreme shortage of workers.

I had ordered the pad Thai lunch special today and it was delicious! I ordered it and went outside to wait in my car told the lady where I'd be at I would be back in 10 minutes well she came out 10 minutes later in the rain and hand-delivered it and said thank you for your business. Will definitely be stoping over again this weekend. By the way I recommend the ginger soup. read more
