Such delicious sushi here at Yoshi. The crab Rangoon maki roll is a must. We didn't have a picture because we ate it too quick. The service was great and dealt with our big party!

Singapore noodles? Noodles were all mushed together, couldn't separate the noodles.

We *used to* love this restaurant, it's always our "go to" for special occasions. I've been pregnant all year and was so excited to order sushi tonight. I ordered our normal crab cucumber salad and Bethany maki. Everything was different, the maki rice seemed mushy and the crab and cumber salad were large chunks instead of shredded. We ordered/paid for Shumai which wasn't in the bag and also ordered Singapore noodles..the noodles did not appear to be vermicelli noodles like normal, or if they were they were completely overcooked and all mushed together. This makes me so sad.. this was our favorite sushi place and it seems the new ownership has let it gone down hill.

Pho soup. It came with a side salad not in picture

Great sushi! Location easy to get to.. clean restaurant, nice atmosphere. A little pricey but that's the nature of sushi!

Pad Thai -terrible. Overcooked angel hair pasta as the noodle. No flavor. Nothing about it represented Pad Thai.

The nabeyaki looked like it had been made several days prior. The chicken which overwhelmed it was the texture of rubber; come to think of it, nearly everything in the soup was the same hopeless texture, absolutely inedible. Mushrooms were spit-out-awful and there were very few veggies. I knew better than to bother with the egg floating on top. The katzu chicken was clearly fried in ancient oil, echoing the complaint of an earlier reviewer, with a bitter nasty aftertaste. Noodles were absolutely tasteless. We asked for a container...to take the scraps home to our chickens. Because the server was efficient and pleasant, I decided not to ask for my money back. I would have been well within my rights to do so, without a peep, I'm guessing, from the kitchen. They know when they've screwed up and they did. All of which brings to mind Woody Allen's quote about life: such a large amount of misery and such small portions.

Bangor Beer Co. in Bangor, ME for a few pints & some easy eats for the last of four breweries on…read moreour trip in & around the city. Another new brewery for me, I was barely familiar with the brand other than enjoying the DISCO SASQUATCH DIPA in can back in mid 2025. These guys were established in late 2017 & will be celebrating ten years next year in 2027. This area is beyond flooded with taverns, restaurants & a good amount of breweries, but with a name like Bangor Beer Co. it felt appropriate to check it out while staying in the city. The brewery is attached to the Oriental Jade restaurant which also doubles as a kitchen for the brewery with a mix of American & Asian/Chinese food. A good amount of different styles represented on the menu with a emphasis on various IPA's, some lighter beers like a Kolsch, Lager, Gose, Cream Ale, Seltzer & more. Let's check out the three pints I scooped & get into the beer a little more here. I started off with a pint of the BRITE Lager, a excellent light bodied Helles that brought just the right balance of malts & hops. This was a great crisp & smooth starter with a subtle sweet honey finish. I then grabbed a 10oz pour of the HABITAP Kolsch, it was another solid light offering with a malty, bready & sweet flavor. Even at a light 4.5%ABV it still had a good amount of layers & was something you could crush a few of for sure. I finished with a pint of the delicious JURI IPA, this was a super hazy New England IPA that brought the juice at a perfect 7.3%ABV. Theres some guava & passionfruit gimmicks here with a ton of tropical flavor that easily made this my favorite beer of the visit. We ordered the Totchos, which if you have followed my pages you know I'm a tot slut. These were as good as expected with cheese, sour cream, pico de gallo, avocado & savory sauce. Then came the Bao Buns with Pork Belly which changed the game. There was a lot of food stuffed in the buns with the pork belly, pickled vegetables, hoisin & cherry chili sauce to finish it off. I left devastatingly stuffed along with the beers & couldn't have put anything else in my body if I tried. All your usual seating options here including tables, hightops & bar with a patio area outside. Plenty of beer to go for home or tastings with friends later. Great spot & definitely BEERGASM worthy with those light beers & dank IPA standing out. Cheers!

It had a nice, friendly vibe, and the beers I tried were all good. The Catchphrase IPA packed a ton of flavor into a relatively low ABV gem. A festbier was also good. Though a walkable distance, I didn't want to carry two four packs the mile-ish walk back to my lodging, so I figured I'd just pick the cans up the next evening when I was finished with my day trip. All good. The bartender was very nice but under the weather. At one point, she turned away from us at the bar (thank you), but ended up sneezing toward the tap handles. Still, though, I am glad to have some cans of the Catchphrase in my fridge...

His name is William and he is obnoxiously loud. He will comment LoUDLY on many items he scans or bags. This past morning shopping on September 5 he was bagging. "That's a lot of ice cream! Did you leave any?!" Really?! Four 6 ounce cups does not warrant such an over the top reaction for all customers in our line and the next register to hear. We had him as a cashier twice and decided to shop elsewhere for several weeks. Then we came back and he has only become worse.
