Beautiful restaurant with lots of cultural decor. We experienced wonderful service from start to finish. I ordered my go to crab fried rice. It was amazing. My food came out hot, portions were a good size for the price and lots of crab in it. I love they gave enough crab for every bite. The food presentation was lovely as well. The table and booth seating was clean (I didn't notice any crumbs in cushion). We were able to pay at the table individually with no problem. It's definitely in the $17-30 per person range but it's quality and comfort food. Great Thai spot!

The portions were fair given the price, food was tasty, and the presentation was beautiful. Ambiance was charming with colors of gold, red, and floral touches. Service was kind, and you kind of have to nudge them, but they were polite.

Beautiful decor, nice vibe, great food and friendly service! Bookmark this place for my favorite Thai restaurant. The portions are generous and served with stylish dishes. Tastes are right on spot. Will definitely come back to try out more of their dishes.

Came here craving meat, but ended up being wowed even more by the veg! Beautiful decor abounds at Siam Nara, from the hanging flora (plastic, but stylishly arranged) to golden Thai ornamentation as well as Christmas accoutrements - I enjoyed the eclectic ambiance from the moment we walked in. The menu is extensive, and the attention to style detail extends to the golden plates, intricately decorated sauce containers and lovely finishing touches such as fresh orchids arrayed atop our entrees. The Sunrise Salad was excellent, featuring a sweet and tangy combination of julienned mango, onion, lettuce, tomato, cilantro and cashews held together with fresh fish sauce and lime. It would have been even better with a bit of spice. The protein was fried shrimp, which unfortunately was way too thickly breaded for me so I'd skip that component next time. We also got the chicken satay, which had a generous portion of tender, juicy, gently curried chicken paired with peanut satay and a light cucumber sauce. Yum! There are many more intriguing menu options (tamarind shrimp, massaman beef, oh my!) that I can't wait to try in the future!

The food was good and tasty. I had the mango soda, tom kah soup, pad thai crab and mango sticky rice. The soup was comforting and was creamy, sweet, sour and savory. The pad thai was well made, but the sauce needed more depth. Dessert was very good. It was not too sweet and the mango was fresh and perfectly ripe. Service in the beginning was attentive and friendly and the owner took our order. However, it was a busy Saturday night and there wasn't enough wait staff. We had to flag the staff a few times to clear our table, bring our desserts and pay for our meal. The ambiance is comfortable and casual.

The food at Siam Nara is so flavorful and beautifully presented. Servers are attentive and helpful. The restaurant is so pretty - full of Thai decor and colorful flowers.

QUICK TAKE// Delicious, aesthetically plated Thai food that is a solid spot for Mira Mesa. FOOD// We got the SOM TUM WITH SALTED CRAB as an appetizer which is like a green papaya salad with som whole mini crabs in them. Honestly I wasn't sure how to eat the crabs so I just focused on the salad. I would probably just go with the the regular Som Tum next time - otherwise very delicious salad and nice lighter/fresher appetizer. We also go the GREEN CURRY and added mock duck in there - very delicious! My personal highlight was the KHAO SOI WITH DUCK - the portion was huge (definitely explains the $25.99 price) and it is for sure a shareable dish. SERVICE// We went at like a 7pm on a Tuesday night and there were quite a few tables and very few servers. While it did take a while to get our waters initially, once the food order was put in, everything came fairly quickly VIBES// Really aesthetic restaurant! I will also say the food presentation for all of their dishes really added to the theme of the restaurant. Would definitely be a restaurant I would take friends or family for a "nicer" Thai experience. I had heard they had done a major renovation and boyfriend said it has really come a long way from its previous looks.

the ambiance is great in here, it's very decorated and ornate. they had a wide selection for their menu and it was hard to decide on what to get! The suree's platter was definitely hard to pass it just looked stunning! a favorite was the pad see ew since the flavor was right up my alley. I wish the platter came with more sauce since I felt like the variety of things on that platter needed additional spruce of flavor since they were fried. Very nice service and attentive! Would come back!

This is a hidden gem and I don't know why I haven't written a review sooner. I have gone here several times both with a small group, and with very large groups. I love the crab Pad Thai, the Thai iced tea, and the mango sticky rice are all a go-to for me. We've also tried the platters which are very good, and several of the fish dishes. The fish that comes with The Tamarind sauce is crispy and tasty. We also love their Drunken Noodles. I love coming here and doing family style so we can try several different dishes, and I highly recommend doing that so you can taste a variety of things. I honestly can't say I've had a bad dish here, but I think the crab fried rice could use a little bit more flavor as it's a bit bland. The staff is always very nice and accommodating. The owner is often there and she will come and check on you to see how you are doing and if you are liking the food. Even with a very large party they can accommodate Separate checks which is very rare these days. I love the decor with all of the colorful flowers, an the gold statues. The gold dishes and fancy platters and cups are also a nice touch. They have one of those little robots that delivers the food to the table. It's named Bella Bot and sometimes talks, which is cute. Overall this is one of my favorite Thai restaurants, and I try to get there at least every few months. I would recommend checking it out, I've not heard anyone say that they dislike it.

My office colleagues wanted to try out some authentic Thai food. With a quick Yelp search, we were able to find Siam Nara in Mira Mesa. We were able to get a reservation for 20 people. As soon as we arrived, we were able to find parking without any issues. Once we entered the restaurant, we were seated without any delays. The ambiance of the restaurant was so nice. The decor was inspired by Thai culture. For food - I got the spicy basil vegan fried rice with veggies. My friend got the shrimp fried rice. They served us some delicious soup and salad for starters. This was all complimentary and extremely delicious. My food came out pretty quickly. The portion size was big. Also, it was in a beautiful golden platter. My friend's fried rice was in a real pineapple. The presentation was top notch. Both the dishes were yummy and rich in flavor. Everything about the place was authentic. Also, the staff is mostly traditional Thai. I highly recommend checking out this place!

I ordered the Thai spicy fried rice at Siam Nara and it was a complete disaster. The rice wasn't even fried -- it came out clumpy, wet, and stuck together like giant rice balls. No separation, no wok heat, no texture. Just a dense, mushy mound with a few random scraps of chicken and veggies tossed in. This was basically the worst Thai spicy fried rice I've ever had and honestly one of the worst purchases of my life. I've never seen a fried rice executed this poorly anywhere in San Diego.

Siam Nara was such a special, delicious, and beautiful treat! Popped in for dinner after birthday drinks with friends, and wow, it's just so gorgeous inside! Truly a touch of escapism. Each dish we ordered was delightful, and the service was prompt, despite the busy Saturday night. Looking forward to returning and trying something new!

The food and service were okay, but the metal tableware was extremely annoying. Everyone in our group hated the sound of metal spoons, forks, and knives scraping against metal plates. We had to eat very carefully just to avoid the noise, and whenever it happened, it completely ruined our enjoyment of the food. The restaurant clearly invested a lot in the decor, but it feels overdone and impractical. Because of this experience, we won't be returning.

    Is there still outdoor dining?

No ... we ate there recently, and the outdoor dining pavilion is gone.

Do you have a vegan menu?

Not sure about the menu, but they have vegan dishes.

Does Siam Nara offer lunch special?

    Yes they do.

Hello all! Does anyone know if this location offers Halal meat?

Do they have boat noodles here?

Yes they do, the waitress told me that it is very traditional dish.

My mom is like a human-detector for msg (she gets headaches and whatnot). We eat here all the time and so far, nothing. So, I would assume that their food does not have msg.

I went with one of my girlfriends tonight at about 5:30 PM. We were quickly seated. I ordered a mango lemonade, which came out quite fast and was beautiful. It tasted pretty good too. I asked the server for recommendations on the menu, but she seemed startled by my question, like she was not used to giving recommendations. The two items that she did recommend didn't really sound appealing so I went with Pad See Ew with mock duck. That's one of my go to dishes at a Thai restaurant. I asked not to have any spice level added to my food, but the food came out and was just generally lacking flavor. It was very bland and even though there was a generous portion of vegetables in the dish the mock duck was super mushy. All the places I've ever been to it's sautéed crispy. Also, the the noodles were all stuck together. Like if you put noodles in water to let it boil, but you don't stir them and they just boil like that in a clump. The restaurant was very cute inside. I would be open to trying it again just because I've heard so many good things that I can't believe this is their standard experience.

With a long list of allergies, I can't order anything "as is," and yet every single meal from Sukho Thai is not only safer for me but deeply flavorful and consistently wonderful. Becky deserves the highest praise. Becky always goes above and beyond, remembering my allergies, checking every ingredient, and making sure that I'm ordering food that works for my body while still bringing all the richness and depth of Thai cuisine. Even on days when I forget to ask for something to be removed, Becky catches it immediately and keeps me safer. The level of awareness, care, and follow-through is genuinely life-saving and endlessly appreciated. Becky is warm, attentive, thoughtful, incredibly detail-oriented, and radiates a kindness that makes every experience feel welcoming and supported. Every interaction with Becky leaves me feeling cared for, respected, and genuinely valued as a customer. The food itself? Absolutely incredible. The chicken fried rice is one of my favorites -- the perfect balance of textures and flavors. Each bite brings together tender, well-seasoned chicken; fluffy rice with that subtle smoky wok aroma; crisp vegetables that still have a slight crunch; and seasoning that hits that sweet spot between savory, aromatic, and comforting. It's one of those dishes that feels simple on the surface but sings with layers of flavor the moment you start eating. The ginger and salmon stir fry is bright, fragrant, and beautifully prepared. The ginger adds just the right zing, the vegetables stay vibrant and fresh, and the salmon comes out tender, flaky, and infused with the sauce in all the best ways. The cashew stir fry is another flavorful amazing dish -- a perfect harmony of crisp vegetables, roasted cashews, savory sauce, and protein that soaks up all that flavor. Every bite is crunchy, warm, and satisfying. Their egg rolls are some of the best around: crispy on the outside, piping hot inside, filled with savory goodness, and perfectly paired with their dipping sauce. The Panang salmon always catches my eye -- beautifully cooked salmon nestled in a rich, creamy, aromatic panang curry. The sauce is silky, fragrant with coconut and spices, slightly sweet, slightly spicy, and the kind of dish you daydream about afterward. Such vivid and beautiful colors as well. My friend raves nonstop about their mixed seafood stir fries -- generous portions, fresh seafood, bold flavors, and consistently delicious. They also make excellent Thai teas, including a vegan version that is so thoughtful and so appreciated. It's creamy, refreshing, and delicious without sacrificing flavor. The service overall is always warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. It feels even better than how people describe family. The chefs clearly know what they're doing -- every dish comes out tasting like it was prepared with intention and pride. The entire team creates an experience that keeps me coming back again and again. And I love their outdoor patio -- shaded, spacious, and comfortable. It's a relaxing space that makes the meal even better. Thank you, Becky, and thanks to everyone at Sukho Thai for making every visit safe, delicious, and full of kindness.
