While the name might be confusing to some, and the location is easy to miss if you don't pay attention, this is the best Chinese fare you can get without having to travel far to have it. The prices are pretty typical of any Chinese place, but the food is exceptional and the owners, a husband and wife team (he cooks and she handles the ordering window) are very kind and courteous people, and it isn't hard to become a regular! (If I place an order she instantly knows who I am, which is a factor I really love!) Their hours are a bit of a shame, only open Monday-Friday (except holidays) and closing fairly early (8:30pm), but their food outweighs that completely. They have no problem if you need an order without vegetables or if you ask for something to be spicy (or even extra spicy). This is a mom and pop "to-go" Chinese food establishment. The inside, pre-Covid, was adequate enough to seat maybe 6 tables but is now just a bare room with a walk-up window to place your order. From ordering, our order was ready in about 30 minutes; they do recommend calling ahead for better service. The older owner/order taker/cashier was friendly consistent with the heavily decorated Christian ornamentation. The food was definitely not cheap and the portion sizes for the price, I thought were a little on the small side. The food was good tasting and seemed to be made with quality ingredients. We will likely patron them again, though offering a few tables inside to just sit at, even if no extra service was offered, would be nice since the place is a bit of a drive for our family. read more

Although they are usually quite busy and the wait time is a bit long, the food is very good and seems to be more authentic than other Chinese restaurants in my area. The Lo Mein was loaded with lots of chicken and vegetables and the sauce was super tasty. I will be stopping in more often. read more

This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had! The crab Rangoon was just plain cream cheese and burnt. The wontons were burnt and bland. The beef lomein was beef and broccoli dumped on top of lomein in a greasy sauce. The hot braised chicken was just fried chicken and mushrooms with a tiny bit of sauce that was bland. The best thing about Siam is being able to support a strong family-owned business, a couple who are obviously working so hard to make healthy and delicious food, quickly, for many. This is a small establishment, but with consistent service and food. Jean is so very friendly and kind. They definitely aim to please their customers. I believe a bulk of their business is carry out (typical of many Chinese restaurants), but inside seating does include about five tables of 4 each. We commonly order their chicken fried rice. Their crab rangoon is good as well. Hillsboro is the county seat for Jefferson County and is busiest M-F, which are the only days this restaurant is open. A husband and wife run this place, thus those hours. But this is also why consistent service and food will always be found here. Try the place out next time you are nearby and have a craving for Asian food. read more

This little hole-in-the-wall place tucked away in Hiilsboro has surprisingly good food and the friendliest service. Home-made sweet-and-sour is amazing, as is the Siam Special, a fried lo mein dish with your choice of meat. They're always happy to accommodate special requests. I always get extra veggies in whatever I order because they're cooked so perfectly tender-crisp. I don't normally bother to rave about something as simple as egg drop soup, but theirs is so delicious and obviously home-made that I have to order it regularly. I've tried everything on the menu by now, and it's all wonderful. The ambiance is nothing to rave about, as this is primarily a takeout joint, but there are several tables for dining in and the place is always spotlessly clean. They're open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday, and they're often quite busy, so call ahead for best service. You're out of luck on the weekend. read more
