Best Chinese restaurant around. I've been eating here for many years and have never had disappointed. Food is always extremely good.

The Sesame Chicken was excellent! Flavor was great! Service was fast and friendly. The crab rangoon was pretty good also. I ordered there and waited. I hadn't ever had the food before but I liked what I ordered and I'm pretty picky about my Chinese food. read more

This is my absolute favorite Chinese restaurant! Everything is always hot, fresh and tasty. The crab rangoons are perfect, they are not too sweet nor too bland. I also love that the fried rice is yellow vs brown. They usually cook it very quickly, but there have been some Friday night orders that took longer - only because they were much busier than usual. Not the best pick for eating inside due to space/set up, but I still 10/10 recommend for takeout. read more

Customer Service Needs Improvement I usually place a decent size order each time, getting several appetizers and entrees. The last time i ordered, when i got home my order of Crab Rangoon was missing. I called to let them know. They said i could come back for it never get it next time. I said I will next time. They recorded my phone number. I just called to place an order and told them about my last order missing the item. They told me they did not have anything showing my name or number that they owed me anything. read more

Okay, so I'm not sure why this place has gotten such a bad rating. I'm giving them a 4 because of an order what was sooooo wrong that I can't give them a 5. Plus, we wanted it fixed and they were closed the next day so nothing was corrected. We ordered General Tso's chicken and chicken with broccoli. We got 2 orders of orange chicken instead. It was a woman that took our order and she was incredibly rude and she totally ruined our order. If she answers the phone just hang up and order from some place else that day. Otherwise, the guys get it right and it's the best chicken and broccoli I've had in a long time. Give them a try, just don't let that woman take your order. Horrific time management, food very underwhelming and not worth the wait. Call in and you'll get faster service but still wait an hour or more. They take more orders than they can service and think nothing of giving your food away even though you're right there waiting! read more

I have eaten Chinese food for YEARS, Nice suburban places to littlt city places where they pass the food out to you through a small window. CHINA 1 is the best chinese I have had for a long time. I tried their fried rice and egg rolls. The fried rice had larger than average shrimp in it and it had an unusual slightly smokey flavor. The egg rolls were crispy and very flavorful. After trying another local Chinese place and having a bad experience we stopped in to check it out. Man we're we suprised. Excellent food with fresh ingredients. Subtle spins on old favorites. Kinda blown away. We have been bad several times and will continue to do so. read more

This place needs some more festive decorations, like that one place that has a big panda on the wall when you walk in. But it's OK. I like the lemon chicken and the crab rangoon. I usually get it as take out. I feel like I am eating all of my food groups when I order stuff from here because there are meats and noodles and veggies. So if you are looking for healthy food this is the place to do. They do have a fish tank and that's fun to watch but don't joke about eating the fish. read more

I went in after mixed reviews, and I'm glad I did. The lo mien was good and garlicky, with lots of pork which is unusual. The egg rolls are small, but good. The chicken with mixed vegetables was great. Lots of chicken breast, and the portion is enough for 4 people. There is no good Chinese food where I live. There were 3 of us, each ordering different dishes and not one of us enjoyed the very bland entrees. BEST Chinese food in town! They serve REAL Chinese food and the portions are big for the price. Idk how anyone could write a bad review unless they were expecting mall food or something super fancy. They have the best rice, crab rangoons, everything. If you're not picky (trying to get rice with no onions or eggs??) and stuck up and just order from the menu and realize the owner basically runs this place by himself with a little help and is there EVERY single day doing a wonderful job, you're going to have a flawless experience like I do every time. Honestly this man deserves a vacation! I've never had a single problem, complaint, or mistake made, unlike every other restaurant in town. First, I thought the person at the counter taking our order was really rude. That was a big turnoff. The pork lo mein was good, but different flavored than normal and thus, unexpected. Lemon chicken was very generous portion and had lots of vegetables with it that I have never seen before. That was a real plus, but the lemon sauce did not have much of a lemony flavor. My wife and I go here about once a week. She is not a chinese fan and really has never eaten it before we went to this place. We get the pork lomein lunch special for under $5. It is more than enough for the both of us to get a good meal out of. They put this peanut sauce on the lomein noodles and it is very delicious. This place is delicious! I hate seeing on here how everyone says the employees are rude...UM hello but it's called a LANGUAGE barrier. They are not rude it's just their custom. And maybe if they come off with an attitude at times, it's probably because they deal with 300 obese, Missouri hoosiers a day who start out being rude to them and maybe they're a little tired of it. RUDE. the food is absolutely delicious which I hate to admit because the guy at the counter is always a jerk. They tell me 20 minutes to come get my order... I get there for 20mins, and then they leave me waiting in their place for 25 more mins. EVERY time without fail. Just as previous reviewer said, decor is not much. Fish tank, christmas light, and fake flowers on the tables. Table was out of napkins and salt shaker was empty. Most of the other tables were out of napkins as well. I brought my 4 year old son here. We ordered lemon chicken, vegetable lo mein and wonton soup. The lo mein and the soup were very good. The sauce for the chicken was not what I am used to it was lacking sweetness. Seems more people use this for take out versus eat in. read more

Good food for takeout. Not much of a sit down place. Often have to wait for phoned in order to be ready, but food is worth it. We get takeout orders for 6 people, they don't give free stuff with big orders like some places. Counter guy not rude so much as busy. Fast and cheap; I ordered vegetable fried rice and somehow ended up with beef/pork/chicken/shrimp fried rice and had to pick out all the meat. The rice wasn't that good in general either. Will not be going back. read more

The food is great, the crab rangoon is the best in my opinion. I have always ordered take out and never had eaten inside until I took my daughter there and we ate inside. I am giving this 2 stars because the man at the counter was extremely rude, every table was dirty and the restroom was absolutely disgusting, I have never been in a restroom that was that disgusting and that includes portable bathrooms at a concert! Who knows the last time it was cleaned. I was very surprised and disappointed to say the least. I couldn't believe I standing in a restroom at a restaurant. I seriously hope the kitchen is kept up completely different than the restroom. I will probably not order take out again which is very disappointing because like I said I love their food, but it makes me question whether the kitchen is kept the same as the restroom and hopefully the employees are washing their hands after going in that restroom. read more
